    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
A stand-off ensues after Col. Devoe (George Clooney) guides three U.S. helicopters into Russian airspace.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
The first motion picture produced by DreamWorks SKG, The Peacemaker (1997) was a spy thriller that married the exotic locations and derring-do of James Bond with the high-tech obsession and post-Cold War politics of Tom Clancy. Greedy Russian military officers crash two trains into each other, the warheads aboard one causing a nuclear blast. The accident is a cover for the theft of some of the weapons for sale to terrorists and rogue governments. In the U.S., intelligence officer Lt. Col. Tom Devoe (George Clooney), isn't fooled. Neither is Dr. Julia Kelly (Nicole Kidman), the acting head of a White House task force on nuclear smuggling. Devoe and Kelly team up to find the nukes, and they are able to stop the transfer of the weapons in a raid at the Iranian border, but one warhead is missing. It's in the hands of Dusan Gavrich (Marcel Iures), a grief-stricken terrorist planning to call the world's attention to the war in the former Soviet Union with a nuclear explosion in Manhattan. Although fictional, The Peacemaker was based on the magazine article "One Point Safe" by Andrew Cockburn and Leslie Cockburn, a factual investigative news report about nuclear weapons smuggling in Russia.

@@vb8428 this one is true, even the peacemaker makes very heavy use of stuntmen, George Clooney is a good actor, he's just not cut out for it like Tom Cruise or Jason Statham or Jackie Chan or Matt Damon, or JCVD does

Indeed, his fight scenes in The Peacemaker, Three Kings, The American and especially From Dusk Till Dawn are all awesome. I think he would've done a great job in the movie Daylight as well. I can always picture him better in that role instead of Stallone.

I like this scene and this movie. The producers wisely allowed Russians to accurately portray Russians. American actors who portray Russians in other movies, yell orders in poor Transylvania Draculan accents with bug eyes and lost of arm waving. True Russians like these men (yes you can see from their features) are generally very calm and low key under any circumstance.

@SternerRegnixThere is somewhere in same movie clip but not this one. Goes something like -
The sitting down chap says: 3 US helicopters requesting to Hold Fire. Flight speed ..knots, Altitude..
Senior chap says: Intrusion - Section 17. Battle Stations. All batteries on my Command.
Sitting down chap says: Battery 1 tracked
Other chap now standing: Urgent orders to check with Southern Commander!
Senior Chap then faces the standing chap: Inform Southern Commander intrusion by 3 US Air Force Attack helicopters. Further instructions required.
Sitting down chap: Battery 2 tracked
Senior chap: Return or we will begin to fire, turning to Standing chap with face gesture "how?"
      Standing chap replied: No answer
Sitting down chap says: We have 7 seconds before they're out of radar!!
      Senior Chap: Take them out..
Hope this helps - Sorry I could've missed the sequence of scenarios

It's pretty clear google maps didn't exist at the time of making this movie. Russia does not share a border with Turkey or Iran. It would therefor be impossible for the USAF to fly from the Turkish border into Russia to avoid a truck to drive into Iran.

If anyone happens to see this...what is the name for that camouflage set of colors. It's been one of my favorite movies since 1998. Only had a vcr in college dorm. It was 1 of 2 films we owned until Thanksgiving break. I've never seen those camouflage since. I know it's not a helicopter that the the US Armed Forces use. But it's really the camouflage colors I'm interested in. I've asked other places online and I get dissertations about the helicopter but my actual question is ignored

I would say the helicopter pattern and colors are made up.
Maybe because of camera photography, the colors are distorted, but they are very similar to those on the m90 camouflage used by Sfor, which was a Nato led peacekeeping force after Bosnian war, according to Wikipedia.
The soldiers appear to wear the proper u.s. woodland pattern of that period in green, brown, sand, and black.
