How Pager Explosive Attack in Lebanon Happened?

  • Hezbollah reportedly ordered around 5,000 pagers from Taiwan, a country known for producing about 90% of the world’s most advanced semiconductors.
These pagers were destined for Lebanon.
However, what makes this story particularly intriguing is what allegedly happened during the shipment process.
At some point along the way, a spy agency is believed to have intercepted the shipment and tampered with the pagers.
They discreetly altered the internal components, replacing one of the two identical batteries with a hidden explosive device.
This modification was done so subtly that it went unnoticed.
Once the changes were made, the altered pagers were quietly sent back to Hezbollah as if nothing had happened.

The video was titled about the pager incident, yet this took only 2:30 minutes. The rest of the video almost 7:30 minutes are talking about the other operations done on the past months !!!.
This is misleading by the way and not serving the original idea.
This means that your channel, did the new 2:30 minutes and blended it with already published videos. Thus making a longer video.
This questions your credibility. If you have only 2 minutes work either publish it or keep quiet.

For those that are probably too young to remember them. A pager also called a beeper is a device that predates smart phones. Essentially what it is is a device that a person holds and it either does an audible beeping noise, or some other kind of electronic tone along with a vibration function. The user then picks it up and looks at a small screen usually a simple LCD screen or something similar. Well, most of them can’t show full messages. A lot of them will at the very least show a phone number linked to whoever contacted the individual. The individual then either comes in contact with the person who sent the message through a landline phone or maybe an early form of cell phone. These devices were quite common in times like the 90s and even into the early 2000s. In many ways they even predate these years. Some organizations like fire departments still use devices like these designed specifically for summoning the firefighters for when they need to go on an operation if they are not at the fire station.
Honestly, something like this in my opinion at least is actually a rather brilliant idea. It shows that you can easily disable an individual or relieve them of their earthly burdens with little collateral damage. Not to mention that depending on the type of explosive even something is small as a pager could have the destructive power of a low yield grenade.

You missed on several facts. They have to replace both batteries not only 1. 3 grams of explosive was in devices. They where activated remotely. Pagers received 3 messages containing error info, than message which activated explosive. 5000 timers could not activate all devices at the same time but page message would. They exploded and exactly the same time. Most victims where looking in to device as they where receiving error messages and motor for vibration was turned off. So they lost eyes and fingers in most cases. This is all from internet today

Disagree, your speculating that the batteries where the explosive charge, I sincerely doubt that, an explosive charge was implanted into the pagers further, and to exaggerate the severity of the damages, minuscule ball bearings where placed immediately behind the charge to amplify the damages, creating a I.E.D., essentially!

A 1.5V battery with explosives can still function as a battery. A smaller 1.5 V battery is installed inside the outer shell of the battery and the remaining volume of the shell can be filled with an electronic device or anything else. This is how the TV remote controls that can control a TV in another room of the house operate. One of the two AA cells has a smaller 1.5V battery and a RF transmitter circuit embedded inside a shell that looks like a 1.5 V AA cell. When the user presses a button on the TV remote control, the current thru the batteries activate the transmitter which transmits an encoded RF signal to the cable box in another room of the house. A dedicated receiver unit then decodes the RF signal and re-emits the infrared signal to the cable box. This allows one cable TV box to serve multiple rooms in the house.
