Midnight Resistance! I believe the arcade version used rotary sticks if my memory serves correctly. Also, I don't suppose this works on the Switch version of SNK collection? Would be awesome if it did for potential Arcade Archive releases🤟🏻
As a big fan of SNK's rotary controlled titles, I've been waiting for something like this FOREVER, though I do wish that it was compatible with consoles so that one could play the console ports of SNK 40th Anniversary Collection (*though I realize even compatibility with the PC port requires a firmware upgrade).
The GRS Ikari Warriors Super Joystick 🕹️ we'll work with any console that can accept a USB joystick and supports a USB mouse or a USB keyboard or a USB joystick hat. It's up to the application to know what to do with it. So in theory the controller work with anything that supports USB

Always loved the SNK rotary and hoped for a home solution - checking out miscellaneous controllers and wondering about compatibility (ex. Atari VCS stick, spinners, etc.). Now, here it is, but a cardboard box? (It does look sturdy.) And then, of course I'd like to have two...
❤ using it as a cardboard box was an idea I come up with. Why throw away a box with beautiful artwork on it when you can make it into the actual case for the controller and more so for people who don't have a way to put the joystick in something else. The box is made a very sturdy cardboard and should last but it is cardboard. I'm not going to lie but it's better than taking the box and throwing it away. It's such a beautiful design and simple elegant and you can get the playing immediately
I like it,I love the additional parts, I’m confused on what you do with the extra stuff since the box is the fight stick. Am I missing what you do with the additional stuff.
Don't know if you mentioned it, but does it support connecting two controllers for coop? I'm sure mame, etc can be set up for it, but does it work out of the box?
❤ Yes, you can use two of the GRS Ikari Warriors Super Joysticks together to play with a friend. In fact, the red if you look in the video has a one player showing on it and bottom of the case is blue for the second player. Now the red does layer to easy push out the spots to install your controller. We did not do that for the second player and that was honestly just to keep the cost down to make the holes on both sides would have been even more expensive than now. But yes you can connect two to your PC as a player one and as a player. 2
Not only hard to play, impossible to accurately play without rotary controls IMO. Dual analog just doesn't suffice. Anyone who didn't grow up playing these rotary joystick games in the arcade simply cannot comprehend it. It was a learning curve when they first arrived on the scene, but once you acclimated yourself to them some, like myself, came to greatly appreciate them. It provided the player with so much more agency over the character as opposed to a game like Capcom's Commando, which feels like a huge leap backwards every time I play it.
The box is made of a very strong cardboard, but yes it's still cardboard. It doesn't move around too much. If anything maybe rubber feet on the bottom so it doesn't slide around maybe. But you would then ruin the artwork on the other side so it's a tough call but completely up to you 🙂
They need to redesign this thing so that there aren't four Phillips screw heads surrounding the joystick to gash 'n gnash the hand. Original arcade cabs didn't contain this design flaw.
@@GlensRetroShow As someone who has had experience with the original cabs, long play sessions always result in resting the hand upon the control panel. I cannot reasonably see how those protruding screws wouldn't become an obstruction to the user 🤷♂️
Ive many sticks that are mounted exactly the same way, never has bothered me. Only see it as an issue if the screws have shards of metal coming off of them. But this kit comes with a box to get you up and going quickly, if you were using it in your own panel dont see why ya couldnt mount it differently so nothing is exposed on the top. This just being a heavy duty cardboard box I dont see any other solution that would keep it secured.
@@Madlittlepixel Hey I could be wrong, I'm just having a difficult time picturing it not becoming an issue. My play style using rotary controls was different than any sort of standard joystick. Why does everything have to be *LIMITED EDITION* these days? 😕
Because nobody has the money or interest to put out a full production line. Everything that comes out just tests the water in case of failure.

Will it work on the mister cores?
Does it work on the Nintendo Switch?
The GRS Ikari Warriors super stick is USB, so as long as the device knows about a joystick push buttons and either a mouse or a keyboard or a joystick hat, it will work. It's up to the games to be programmed to recognize it. So in theory absolutely it would work as long as the game supports it
Hi madmiddlepixel can you please try this on a Nintendo switch thanks
I'd live to see a kit for tron arcade
