He had a great love of Germany and he and my Momma wanted to go back and visit. Unfortunately Momma developed Alzheimers and Daddy was stricken with Cancer. She had this old cast iron, wood burning stove and she would cook me such delicious food down on her Ranch. God rest her soul. We are pretty similar - my parents were from Holland (probably fought each other in WW2) - but I was born in Australia - did 30 years with the Aussie Navy - served with the US Navy in 85/86 in Pensacola Florida - saw Challenger explode - hung around Venice & Muscle Beach in 86/91 - probably met you there. Mike I’m still a relatively new viewer to your channel but as I’ve watched more and more of your vlogs I have developed a deep appreciation for you as a person and as someone that just enjoys life and for sharing yours with us showing the good and bad. Thank you for being you and for reminding not only me but a lot of others not to take being an American for granted and also for showing your German culture.

Mike - love watching your life ! We are pretty similar - my parents were from Holland (probably fought each other in WW2) - but I was born in Australia - did 30 years with the Aussie Navy - served with the US Navy in 85/86 in Pensacola Florida - saw Challenger explode - hung around Venice & Muscle Beach in 86/91 - probably met you there. Have the same interests and collections (Americana stuff) - We are long distant Brothers !!!
P.S> Hope your Mum is well. I lost mine few months ago aged 88. Spend all the time you have with her !

Wowsers... you really are living your actual dreams. This is fantastic. Sometimes I forget my younger days and dreams I once had, but this reminded me that I also had a fascination with America and Canada and actors from there. I have never followed my dreams though, so it's really awesome to see someone else who is. I'm sure that is my main reason for watching your channel. Hope your mum is still making a good recovery.
