You people can say whatever you like. But for a young piano genius, her vocals are incredible. She's not spent her life developing her voice, but her piano chops.

if she took a vocal lessons, she will be great in singing. her voice tone sound good. Yes, she looked nervous when singing, but not in playing the piano.

I've been an Emily fan for several years, and I confess this is the first time I've heard her SING! She's absolutely brilliant on multiple levels!
Well, I've been following Emily's career for years now, and I can assure you that she has never sung publicly before, certainly never on TV or on TH-cam. So we are privileged to be some of the first people in the world (outside of her family) to hear her sweet sweet voice in song.
Daniel ben Immanuel My friend Jenny, who goes to NYU and has a personal friendship with Emily, told me she's seen/heard Emily sing live before! It came as a complete surprise to me, and what a delight!

Emily was 6 year old and you can hear that she havea verry good singing voice.

Wow! This was a treat. I've listened to Emily play all the way up from baby to 17 year old. Never heard her sing. She's nervous but after she gets a little approval that will go away. Mom, I understand, is a singer and pianist.
I just love how everyone just becomes an expert knowledgeable critic all of the sudden when most have not even have come close to a real piano.

The Girl from Ipanema is my all-time favourite and, being a pianist myself, I know how tricky some of this song can be to play. Emily is so talented and sings so beautifully. Well done, beautiful girl - you are awesome! You definitely play this better than I do. Amazing young lady!

I love her voice and her incredible piano skills. She's a prodigy and a lovely young lady. I love how happy she looks when she's playing and singing...Writing this in 2019 and she's only 17 now and was about 13 here! I've listened to many of her TH-cam videos and each one is better than the next. She's a fabulous composer on top of all of it.

I had seen Emily sing The Girl from Ipanema in Santa Monica, she sang 3 songs there but my favorite of the three was Lullaby of Birdland she was wonderful as always

I was lucky enough to see Ms. Bear perform her new vocal song earlier this year and her vocals have definitely improved a *lot*. She's filling out all of the potential I saw in this video when it came out :)

Quincy: Then there's Emily Bear; President Obama calls her "Baby Mozart." She's been writing for symphonies since she was 5 and also plays bossa nova and the blues. She sings "Celie's Blues" from "Color Purple," anything. When we first met her, her feet wouldn't even touch the floor. She just did a concert at Carnegie Hall with a choir and a symphony orchestra.
Note: Emily play piano and composed from the age of two.
At the tender age of 9, Emily made her Carnegie Hall debut, and performing her own orchestral composition 'We Are The Future' with a 110-piece orchestra and a 220-voice choir + 2 solo singers.

Emily sings normaly a lots better, but she was a little nervous. No wonder, it was the first time (after a few words at Ellen when she was age 6) that Emily sings on television.
I think, when Emily was singing without playing the piano at this show, she wil sing the song more beautiful and without nervous. But now she must concentrated on two things,
O think also, when Emily the next time is plying the piano and singing, on a show she is not nervous.
The few words Emily sings by improvisation at Ellen (first atempt) is the proof that Emily have also a amazing good singing voice.
