As a voice teacher and retired opera singer, I can tell you that Miranda is extremely gifted. The Schubert "Ave Maria" demands a high level of breath control for starters. To maintain such poise in a busy chaotic environment .. WOW! This young lady has what it takes to succeed as a professional opera singer. I wish her all success!

Hi Brendan; Hi Miranda. Just an old man watching from the Highlands of Scotland here, feeling like an Angel and her talented pianist just showed me proof that Heaven really does exist.
I'll soon leave this earthly body behind. This is due to the multiple organ failures I'm facing. For the first time since I was diagnosed with some kind of non-alcoholic liver disease to the multiple failures it is causing within my body, I'm at peace facing my final days; and it's all thanks to you two. You have given this old man hope that there really is someone or something worth seeing after this.
I have to agree with you Brendan; Miranda has such a beautiful voice. I think I found this video because God wanted to answer my question. It was such an incredible honour to listen to you play as Miranda, without any time taken to warm up, flawlessly sang with perfect pitch, tone and accent. Just Wow!

Does not take courage. Really good players and singers can be very compulsive. He plays in public because he loves it. She knew she could fit in, and had to do it.

My brother could sing opera in three languages and Ave Maria was his best. He sang at my church wedding and everyone was crying it was so amazing
That was wonderful, both the Ave Maria and the Panis Angelicus were pieces played at my parents 1949 wedding and my sister's 1971 nuptials, so that it was fitting to have them played at both of my parents memorial services when they passed in 2017 and 2020. Listening to this was so special and brought back very fond memories. My father played the piano beautifully and I could not have enjoyed this video more, in addition to listening to that young lady's gifted voice. Thank you both!

Perhaps because all these people think they have seen it all, heard it all and nothing is worth giving up their precious, wandering time.
I have to agree. I would never be able to just walk by. I would have to stop to watch and listen. It's crazy how people don't realize how much you get by appreciating a gift given to them for no reason.
It's a chance to let go of every worry in your mind for a few minutes and relax your body of any stress or less than ultimatum moods your having going and reset your mind for a better day. Talented people are gifts and you shouldn't just pass it up or take them for granted. Do it for yourself and stop.

I was just about to type the same thing!! How can one be oblivious to the heavenly sounds of that piano and that angelic singer. I would have to miss my train because I would have to hear every note.
I could have sat for hours and listened to this music and her singing. For 17, she is truly gifted. I do hope she continues with her music and we hear more from her.

It's what you call a successful livestream. You're mixing it up with some dynamite boogie (and other!) music, truly fantastic, then this Miranda comes along, and the two of you just casually blow us all away with two classical pieces, voice accompanied by piano. So perfect.

Miranda is truly gifted and I loved how Brendan lured her in to sing. It was a beautiful moment. What was a shame was how few people were drawn into that beautiful music. So many of these people have grown up with so called music that has no meaning or spirit anymore. So many people don’t recognize beauty anymore. They just walk right by it, unaware and uninspired.
I am a retired teacher of Latin. Miranda's pronunciation of Latin is very well done.
