As much as I like some of the deeper cuts that Happy Souls makes, I especially like a lot of the simpler bits of humor in the video. Stuff like the muffled explosion at 3:32 and the bit at 4:21 when the invasion notice crushes the joints in his hand made me laugh almost as hard as the other stuff in the video.
DS2 was the last of the three that I played. I used Happy Souls as a rough guide of what to expect since I watched it by accident during my souls content binge. It kept getting funnier the further I got.

I've watched the ENTIRE Happy Souls video and I laughed SO UNBELIEVABLY HARD! But your reaction makes me laugh EVEN HARDER!
For all the things that DS2 did wrong, there was a lot I loved about it. While PvP was a lag shit show, I feel like there was a lot more variate in the various metas, and over all just a lot of really amusing meta's that pop up. That and DS2 had some of the most unique weapons in the series imo.
Had some really good bosses aswell but had some really shitty ones aswell
PvP has been a bit better, seems way less laggy since servers relaunched.
I love how you laughed at the guy pulling his bow string at 0:32. That part really had me dying

Yep. Everyone else there were speaking in Spanish, so I believe he actually said "Eh, acá" because just after another guy said "un forastero" that means, well, a guy
Also, "detrás de ti" means behind you if you were wondering about the meaning of that as well

Ima be honest other than the occasional glitchy cheater I had overall good experiences with DS2 PvP. It was a very clean PvP experience since after you hit the SM threshold or started NG+ you could encounter anyone of any SM without having to worry about the "meta" level. In the first game shields are king. In the third offense is king. But in the second you could actually come up with a number of really interesting strategies. of course there's a "best" build. There's always a "best" one regardless of the game. But since you could boost all of your stats it often came down to your raw skill since everyone was playing really weird strategies rather than if you're good enough and have the right setup to take on a very specific and minmaxed build someone made.
That being said DS2 is still the weakest of the souls games by far. That's not up for debate. Only that its PvP wasn't as trash as people claim it was.
Invasions have variety with builds, but if you use the duel statues, everybody is spamming the sorceries with Crystal weapon or the pyromancies. My favorite thing to do for invasions is troll with my illusory rings. Surprise backstab with enchanted Santiare's Spear and one handed spear thrusts to catch them as they run. I pissed off a lot of people with this strat. Funniest part is how they pretend to be afk so they can surprise me when I pull out a weapon, not knowing I already had my weapon out and they just couldn't see it
@@silentkhaos1176 That's pretty brilliant. I never encountered anyone using the rings to great effect. I also loved the... what was it called... the rune blade? The whip sword thing. It wasn't that strong but it was fantastic as something to throw into other weapon builds to add variety and surprise. I also had a fist character who fought with the bone fist. It took me so long to get good with that weapon but there's nothing like timing a flying kick and hitting someone in the face and then hadouken-ing them into oblivion when they try to get away.
@@AgentSapphire I have a character that power stances TWO bone fists and then I would invade at Shrine of Amana. I loved knocking people into the depths of the abyss and receive their hatemail immediately afterwards

@@KrimsonKB yeah, that’s the unfortunate truth of it. I actually JUST finished Dark Souls 2, the DLCs & every single optional boss in the base game & DLCs. There’s moments where the game’s fair, other moments where you have to play passively in order to get past an area (Heide’s Tower of Flame & Iron Passage), and still more where you wonder why tf they made these areas because some of them are bullshit (Frigid Outskirts). Yet I’ve had to endure EVERY! SINGLE! ONE! Point is, Dark Souls 2 is a misunderstood mixed-bag of a game; I have my love-hate moments with it.
Yeah with ds2 worse thing was the souls memory, my buddy would get mad cuz I'd grind areas till things didnt spawn anymore, lmao. Gotta make the bosses work for that kill.
Remember you need bonfire Aesthetics to respawn enemies but make it harder

Yeah, I agree. This community is generally a bunch of hypocritical kids. It's basically:" I demand you to adhere to my completely made up rules for PvP you didn't ask for (I'm not talking about arena or iron bridge) while I just use all the exploits I can to get an advantage." Like in ds1 lag stabb fishing and toggle escape. It's just who can exploit a buggy game more often. That's not a battle of whits. Ds2 is far from perfect, but it feels like the most fair one out of all three. Dark souls. Demon is it's own category, it's somewhere in between.

So I play every Dark Souls offline. I like that more because there are no massages that could spoil the game and no invasions that can get on my nerve
@@fabi3790 i have played bloodborne and DS3 completely offline mostly because i refuse to pay for psnplus, so i can your point, its really nice the fealling of exploration that you get offline
im i the only one who thought ds2 was easy....
I don't think it was easy but I died less than my first tries than DS1 and DS3
Reasons may be:
->My Laptop is not so good so DS3 doesn't run perfekt what males the game and bosses harder
-> I playes DS2 last so I had training
-> the bosses where easier
But to this day I don't know if I died in DS 2 or DS 1 DLC more often
And What boss in my first try I died the most.
I think fume knight, Ornstein and Smough or Nameless King
