Due to the new CBN policy, when sending any amount from abroad to Nigeria, it has to be in dollars. So when transferring to a Naira account using sendwave, the bank will automatically open a domiciliary account (instantly) to receive the dollars. I hope this helps. @@clarksono1634 A dom acct is differrent from a naira acct, so yes. Its an automatic process by the bank(not you) within 24hrs of you initiating the transfer. You can convert it to naira at the bank when you pick up the dollars or you can take it to aboki for black market rate.
I just don't understand something . Now I don't have a Dom account but I have a GTB bank account. If am sent money using this app will the bank automatically open a Dom account for me or should the option be cash pick up. Because some banks are really crazy in Nigeria that they will tell you they attend to only people that have account with them
