I'm spending my weekend watching all your old videos, and this is the one where you 1st used the phrase "sitting on your ass won't finish your project" 💪
Quick question. Did you bottom out the suspension to check that the notch is in the correct spot? The leaves straighten out during compression moving the axle back slightly. I know your leaves look pretty flat to begin with but it will move back some. I am about to notch my 56 Merc the same way.
I use a magnet with a bolt through it to hold plates like that. Gives me a little control. I enjoy your channel. You use a lot of old techniques i learned from my dad in his fab shop growing up. I worked in his shop after highschool. He taught me a lot of the styles and techniques you use. Great channel .
Been keeping this video in my back pocket for a while now for when I needed it. Looks like I'll be purchasing a chunk of pipe soon lol. Great work and vid.
Recently got into the mini truck scene and am now getting into this.. Not really used to removing material in such a way. I come from the xj world, we add steel to those.. lol From some one that has done alot of these in this way what is the long term structural integrity? I plan on using my truck as it was intended from time to time, and cutting into a frame, especially one with leaf springs just gives me the heeby jeebies..
Hey Buddy. Just wanted you to know I'd love to hang out with you for a day. Cuz buddy you crack me up. Maybe not a whole day but at least meet you. Been watching a lot of your older videos to kind of see where you came from. Really enjoy your videos keep them coming. Oh yeah just ordered one of your sitting on your ass won't get your project done t-shirts. And it's got me motivated to work on my 64 galaxie 2-door. So thanks for that.
Awesome work man. I have a 53 custom line that I want to c notch. This is exactly what I wanna do. I ordered some pre-fabed notches from gambino kustoms in San Jose CA but they are huge. I’m thinking it’s a whole different approach at c notching. This way looks easier and more affective? Not sure. Love the videos man. Keep them comin. Thanks 💪
You certainly didn’t seem out of practice to me! Great welds, great work! If I could weld like you I would feel great! BTW do you know the name of the color on those wheels? I LOVE that color! Will that be the body color of the car? Keep up the good work!
@@PuddinsFabShop your welcome mate been following for a bit on this build I like how it's coming. Not sure mate if you have checked up my channel but please feel free to
@@PuddinsFabShop your very welcome mate I love all cars and love watching what you do as that where I'm hoping to go over here in Bundaberg Qld Australia when I finish my first build as my second build is going to be a full custom where I'll be doing my metal work and stuff to.
Just my 2 cents, but if you would have filled the hole on the outside of the frame before you welded in the c-notch, it would have made a weld that completely went around the perimeter of the pipe... I just don't like the look of the weld with a gap. No hatin' bro; love your videos and the nice quality work you do!! : ^ )

What size pipe you use on travelall for c.notch
Nice Work. Ive watched all of your shoebox videos so far. What other Mods are planned for the car? Chop? shaved door handles? peaked hood?
No chop, shaved, dropped Buick trim, custom wheel wells, drenched Tailights, and shaved deck lid as far as I know

Ya if you’re not doing air ride there’s not really a need for a big step notch.
I always like first, then i comment, however, enough said. Forget about it. ❤
Cool c channel
how much would it cost on average to c notch a 06 colorado ?
