The plan for the C10 is to lower it and when you lower it, in my case 7” in the rear, the issue you would run into is that there would be little up travel for the rear axle before it hit the frame. By adding a c-notch to the frame over the rear axle you are allowing the suspension to travel further without any issues. Stay tuned for an upcoming episode when I get the new suspension installed in the rear and it will be easier to visualize what I mean. Thanks for the comment!

Hey man, what is the C-Notch kit for? Or, maybe a better question to ask - what is the benefit for putting one on the chassis?

Sucks u got to make a template other companies usually send one.
The fab wasn't too difficult for the template. It was good practice!
