Samuel L Jackson was an A list actor before Marvel…. He was the head of the Jedi counsel! He doesn’t “have a credit on the Incredibles” he’s Frozo! He’s the BFF! And so much more. Pulp Fiction is not a B movie…. Zach did not give him enough credit. Love you all❤

Went to see the movie on opening night as a joke. Seriously, one of the best and funnest theater experiences. It was pretty full, and every one was there for a good time. When SLJ said his line, about 20 people randomly placed in the theater opened up those cans that shoot foam snakes in the air. It was incredible.

My five year old is obsessed with snakes and for months, I’ve been counting down the days (years) when I can watch this with her and not be an incredibly irresponsible parent. Loving this!!

Kenan Thompson actually joined SNL in 2003, so he was already a repertory player on SNL by the time this movie came out in 2006. He’s talked about thinking it would be a hit just based off the name, just like Samuel L Jackson, and that pretty much the whole cast took the experience really seriously 😂

You know what else defined a generation? Final Destination. Please do an episode on that. People my age are still traumatised by those movies.
As I’m rewatching this gem of an episode and since y’all did mention it, I will beg with my whole chest for a Deep Blue Sea episode! Samuel, LL, giant smart sharks in the middle of the pacific, and all of that 1999 CGI? Such a guilty pleasure. Also that original song in the closing credits deserves it’s due - what a banger.
what's amazing is that Kelsey's take on what she thought would happen is actually what does happen with most live animals (including snakes). most are transported on passenger aircraft, especially laboratory animals like mice and rats. they're not going on specialty charter flights or cargo airlines (especially since not all cargo holds are pressurized/temp controlled on aircraft)
That’s why Quarantine 2 really freaked me out about flying for a while
I watched Snakes on a Plane on cable once (TBS/TNT or some channel) and they dubbed the iconic SLJ quote to "I have had it with these MONDAY TO FRIDAY snakes on this MONDAY TO FRIDAY plane!!" The absolute oddest cussing substitution I have ever heard!!
I remember this because a friend of mine would always have it as his away message on AIM!

David R. Ellis, the director of this movie, also directed the forgotten and highly underrated action thriller "Cellular (2004)" starring one of your darlings Chris Evans! I would love you to make a guilty pleasures episode for it in the future
I LOVED Cellular as a teenager! I swear for a while i thought i was the only person who watched and enjoyed this movie - glad i found a fellow person with taste 😂

I can't believe Zach messed up my favorite line! After the iconic double mother fucker line, he says "I'm about to open some windows" then SHOOTS A HOLE IN THE PLANE WITH A PISTOL. It is literally my favorite part of the entire movie.

I always get excited for a Monday knowing I get to enjoy this podcast during my drives to work during the week. Today was a day I needed a bit more laughter living 15 minutes from the outlet in Allen, Tx. Had classes of 5-10 students as a result of threats to our district. Definitely has been a quiet, somber day. Thanks for being here to get me through it

I took a double decker airline when flying to Australia once! Left from SFO with direct to Sydney. Back in 2000 though so it’s been a long time.

My friend group was PSYCHED about this movie. We went to the theater as a group after pregaming for it. The internet hype had a ridiculous amount of input for the times (even for present times, we were a bit much about it).

Very few airlines has the spiral staircase because it’s in the boeing 747 which is one of the older models. But an airbus 380 has also a grand staircase in the middle. If you ride an airbus 380 with Emirates there is also a cocktail bar.

I saw this when it came out, midnight screening. About stairs on planes. Some plane manufacturers give the option for stairs but its an extra expense so airlines would be getting them for special flights. I think A380s have the option for them to go to the lounge/bar/private suite zone.
I have been on a plane with stairs. It was 2 stories. Sadly I did not get to go up the stairs.

As someone from Spain, who has known Elsa Pataki from the beginning of her career in Spain, I love the conversation about her, with both, Kelsey and Zach freaking out. Man, my eldest cousin had photos of her topless under her mattress in 2004. And she worked with someone I had a massive crush with at around the same time.

This might have been the first bootleg movie I watched. Saw it freshman year in college in our dorm room. Roommate got a dvd recording from a theatre. I really could not tell it was pirated until he told me it was. The quality was that good.
I know I'm behind here, but there's an infamous Jake the snake Roberts (a wwe wrestler who used to bring a live snake with him everywhere including in the ring), one time he had it in a tied bag, inside a locked trunk, traveling on a plane. And at one point, staff comes for Jake demanding he come help them get his angry snake back in its bag/trunk, and he refused, because the snake couldn't have houdini'd himself out of the tied bag and trunk, he wasn't gonna get bit for human dumbassery lol. I can imagine flight staff thinking they know best and opening something they shouldn't lol.

I was literally just on a 2 storey plane with a spiral stair case. Business and first class was upstairs and they did have a different entrance but they let them enter from the bottom and use the stairs. It was eccentric af.

i’ve been on a two story airplane before! i used to fly from japan to the philippines a lot as a kid and for japan airlines the plane was usually two stories. i’ve sat on the top, and i don’t remember exactly but you entered the same door as everyone else but the stairs for upstairs was past the first class seats

I went to see this movie in the theater, the first showing at midnight (it may have been 10 pm, it was a long time ago). I thought the theater would be packed, but less than half of the theater was full! I loved the movie though, it was so bad it was good.

This does sound like a fun movie, but I couldn't watch it because I have a snake and I love snakes, and watching snakes die in nasty ways would just make me very sad :(

I have once flown in a two story aeroplane with Lufthansa, but it was closed because they didn't sell enough first class seats.
