7:30 The Corvette C5 (which had popup headlights) was sold until 2004. I believe that makes it the "newest" car available with popup headlights. Still, not nearly as good looking or unique compared to the RX7.

Great video. Her RX-7 is really nice. I like everything about it. She obviously has great taste. RX-7's were always my personal favorite import car. I've only owned one before. It was an FC model (1986, red, naturally aspirated, 5-speed manual) and I had it for 3 years in my early 20's. I did some mods to it including a full exhaust, shot ram air intake, Nology ignition setup, short throw shift kit, carbon fiber hood, and replaced the bulky, engine mounted fan with a radiator mounted electric one that saved weight and added another 10hp or so. After all was said and done I was only running around 330bhp on 93 octane, but with all the weight I saved from the carbon fiber hood, having no turbo, no rear seats (it actually came with them but they were useless so I took them out), no power stearing, no engine mounted fan and only having that tiny 1.3L engine, it was a lot faster than it looked. It was faster than the more common sports cars around my area at the time, which were mostly Mustang's, Camaro's, WRX's, Cobalt SS's, Grand Pre GTP's, Focus SHO's and stuff like that. It took off like a rocket and was easy to kick the rear end out and do controlled drifts with. Its handling was also great because of its near 50/50 weight distribution. It easily had the best driving experience of any car I've owned so far (including my current, modded 2010 WRX hatch). If anyone out there is on the fence about getting an RX-7, I say go for it. They are amazing cars and you'll learn a lot from them. Just do your homework before getting one because they are unique and there's a lot to know if you've never owned one.
I’m a Nissan man but I’m not gonna lie the RX 7 looks so damn good. Well done emu.m you have a killer ride. Thanks capt for another informative review! 😊
Fascinating vehicle and owner. This is truly an invaluable resource for those of those of us in the west with a fondness and appreciation for Japanese sports cars and engineering.
Not sure if he gets into the license plate, but for anyone wondering, the Kanji at the top says which prefecture the vehicle is from (sometimes the specific city if the owner wants) and the hiragana in the bottom-left is just random/chosen if available. The numbers are like our numbers. They also have plates where these characters light up in a blue/green colour.

RE its a difficult task to memorize all the details, he has a lot of time to master the knowledge. I do not know better yt channel in JDM topic in English
Beautiful car. I seriously think it's one of the most beautiful cars ever made, only cars from the 60s when it was all about design and not aerodynamics can compete. And while the engine isn't that reliable there's nothing else like it, these unique characteristics just make you look past it's problems. And btw, this FD got very cool owner. I respect very much that she actually drives the car. These icons of the 90s deserve to be driven and seen on the streets. I'm a bit guilty of garage queening my cars, but i still try to take them for a ride from time to time.
Excellent review. keep in the archive for the next generations. there should be more documentation like this of Mazda Rotary starting from the Cosmo 110S and all later models. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Nitpick: the C5 Corvette was produced through 2004 with popup headlights. I love how much time you spend showing off the lines of the car. It's hard to spend too much time staring at these cars.
Fantastic video, I love your reviews and the detail you go into. However, a minor thing, it should be noted that both the Corvette C5 and Lotus Esprit actually ceased production in 2004. They were some of the final (if not, the very last) cars of the the 21st century featuring pop up headlights.
I was totally waiting for you to cover the FD3S in your channel. I find your reviews very informative. I am also a proud owner of a white 94 FD that's been imported from japan. Keep up the good work !!!

Yes! Please do more videos of RX7s! I think the RX7 has to be my favorite JDM legend in its entirety. I'd love to see how ot compares to the GTR.
I am so grateful for all your great work and that you show us the Japanese Masterpieces from your perspective. Quality and so detailed video!! 👏 your knowledge is impressive!
Best regards from Sweden
8regi8 everything is from the books he had on hand and there was lots of errors throughout. He said the Eunos Cosmo had a smaller engine as an example.
RE its a difficult task to memorize all the details, he has a lot of time to master the knowledge. I do not know better yt channel in JDM topic in English
Those FD's looks great. Man I wish I could see a rotary engine in RL someday.
Unreal content! You guys deserve all the praise!!!
Oooohhh its Emu ! Her RX-7 looks AWESOME ♥
Excellent review. keep in the archive for the next generations. there should be more documentation like this of Mazda Rotary starting from the Cosmo 110S and all later models. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Great tribute to Mazda and great episode.
I appreciate how you are letting us appreciate Japanese style
Nitpick: the C5 Corvette was produced through 2004 with popup headlights.
I love how much time you spend showing off the lines of the car. It's hard to spend too much time staring at these cars.
Wow that was the best review i have ever seen. Well done. Rx7 is number 1!
You answered the mystery of the weird Mazda badge I've wondered about for years lol. Lots of obscure, interesting stuff here. Good vid!
Thanks to you and your team for the series! What a beauty.
I really like the inerview! Well done for not interrupting her :-)
29:43 that leaf removal was so slick
Fantastic video, I love your reviews and the detail you go into. However, a minor thing, it should be noted that both the Corvette C5 and Lotus Esprit actually ceased production in 2004. They were some of the final (if not, the very last) cars of the the 21st century featuring pop up headlights.
My all-time favourite JDM sports car! Wonderful review with all the needy bits as well!
I was totally waiting for you to cover the FD3S in your channel. I find your reviews very informative. I am also a proud owner of a white 94 FD that's been imported from japan. Keep up the good work !!!
Videos are awesome, always get in depth with the content and car. Makes it entertaining to watch imo. Good job.
Thank you guys! Your videos are amazing! And you allways find impeccable examples to review!
Really like the depth of details you went through, keep it up
OMG!! The best JDM channel of 2020
You're very informative and detailed. This is the best car channel ever, and I follow a lot of car channels. Keep up the good work 💯
My absolute fav jdm everybody loves gets and Supra but I was always and RX7 GUY...love me some R32 but will always choose AN FD
Great video. Once again. Thank you for your reviews. A viewer from Portugal. P.S.: please next time try to review in a deep analysis the RX8. ONE of the most loved our hated machine's... Unfortunately in all countries. Hope to see that. Abraço
I could listen to this man forever
I had a Vintage Red 1993 R1 Version. I regret selling it for my 2003 e46 M3. Beautiful car and it has the timeless looks to it. It was was “first sport Car” that I owned. “It fit me, like a glove”. Looking to buy one soon. The RX7 FD is the definition of perfect to me.
I'm waiting for hachiroku...next
yess
This video was great. Was very informative and loved that the car was kept stock. Thank you.
That white RX7 is wonderful. The RX7 is one of the most beautiful car ever made. I love her.
I don't know a lot about mechanical stuff, I'm just here because I like rx 7. Never thought I'd be bombarded by delicate information 😭
This is so cool, thanks for being so thorough, English subtitles would be great
Love how detailed you are about it. I'm impressed you know so much about one. I've had 2 and wouldn't know or notice half this stuff if I hadn't owned them
This is one of the most informative and entertaining videos I've ever seen. Awesome work!
Great content as usual - ありがとうございます!
Great review and explanation of what made this car so special. I have always loved the look of the FD3S. What you had to say about the technology and chassis design make me even want to Import one from Japan even more!
33:33 Oil filter not air filter. Great video! Can't wait to get my FD running
I really need a JDM Masters review of the MK 3 supra. You are going so in depth into so many info it is super interesting. The MK3 supra is my dream JDM car, since it lives in the shadow of the MK4 i feel like there is not enough content on that car!
Capt; I love how you often have supporting literature, or even the dealership pamphlets on many of these cars. Full picture stuff👍🏻 very cool Lady passionate about her car.
Great scenery down at the docks there!
i love that car since my childhood, my dad had imported one from Canada in the early 90s
Great episode, please more RX7 or even RX8 videos - the history behind the rotary engine is fascinating and it’s so intertwined with Japanese car culture, would love to know more.
amazing presentation! I love how he flicks the leaf from under the hood... I want to get one now that I understand how incredible this car is but I doubt that I’ll ever come across one... Thank you!
It was a fantastic review.
Yes please do a detailed review between these 4 legendary JDM head to head (Stock Conditioned):

Greetings from America! My dream car is still a 2002 Spirit R, but it is great to know more about other models.
