I have a 2017 ultra used 3 years ago with some nice pin striping on it Will the process of removing the swirls mess up the striping?

On a very bad surface like this, I usually use by hand Trizact 5000 sandpaper and a nano rotoorbilal polisher.
Normally I would but this guy has had paint correction done so many times now I cant imagine it having much more clear coat left on it.

I have deep scratch in my rear fender caused when screwdriver slipped while tightening rear screw. I have the HD touch up kit ( paint& clear coat) what sandpaper should I start with to wet sand first before applying paint?

Hey man...thanks for checking it out...I tend to stay away from the sealers...f11 seems to be a very popular product but the pros dont out weigh the cons for me. You still have to apply them every 3 months, same as wax, they even recommend to detail shops that its applied every month...you still have to wash your vehicle on a regular basis, you still have to go through all of the prep stages like I talked about on here...Basically you want your paint looking as new as you can get it before you apply the sealer...I see a lot of guys thinking its magic in a bottle and it will restore your old paint...it wont..its just a sealer. Doesnt leave much else to compare but the price...for the price I can buy a good polish and wax that I can do many bikes with or vehicles...just doesnt weigh out for me.

Hey man sorry im just seeing some of these comments for some reason...yeah they dont sell a clay bar...KW Illinois has a few kits but im not sure they have one with this exact set up. I get my claybars from amazon...If you already have a quick detailer dont waste your money on the claybar/clay bar lube kits...the "lube" is just a quick detailer so use what you have or get some cheapo one from walmart. I get the Chemical Guys clay bars. Is that a harbor freight dual action polisher an when using them I heard that you should use the product till it's almost clear or is that with just polisher
Yes...its a perfect budget polisher..Ive probably done 20 bikes with this and 10 or so cars and trucks. Great for personal use. With the cutting agents, stages 1 and 2 you wont want to wait till the product is almost clear as it will get thick from the heat and start to gum up. With a finishing polish you can get it pretty clear but I still dont let it completely disappear. Same with waxes if you us a DA...apply it, let it cure them remove.
"one step" and "all in one" polishes oftentimes start out coarse and then proceed to break down toward the end. These polishes will start out cloudy then indicate that the polish is about depleted when it begins to turn clear.

Hey Tok! Honestly no...I have never used it. I have watched the videos and have seen the pros and cons of using it...I just stick to the tried and true method of keeping it clean and always having a good coat of protection on the paint. Nothing more satisfying then getting the bike all shined up. I just dont think there is a magic pill out there for paint. It really all boils down to the person and how much time they want to spend on their bike I guess. Have you used it? Whats your thoughts on it?

In my opinion a 3" pads on a polisher works best to buff and polish a bike.

Hey Chaz...not a ton you can do to matte or denim paint...except clean it...we use KW7 matte detail spray here in the shop from Killerwaxx. I have seen dudes put that F11 on there and it changes the color of the paint......there is a product called RAT WAX though I have seen videos on and it looks amazing. Its formulated for matte/denim paint. Check them out and see what you think.

Not a bad video. But you can tell he hasn't done it very long. Lot of mistakes. I've done paint correction for 40 yrs. Not bad mistakes just ones that effect his results.
I must not have made too many mistakes...the bike looked brand new when i was done. Thanks for checking it out though..I was looking for your detail videos...weird..didnt see any.
@@sikbaggers I don't do TH-cam videos. Why show your competition how you do things. Why give them a advantage? Why post videos on how to detail a bike? That just takes away from your business. Don't get me wrong you do great videos.
@@sikbaggers I usually don't do this but i'm gonna tell you how it's done. After you clay the bike use Kleen Strip PrepAll to remove all the detail spray residue. You want to start with a virgin clearcoat. Then do your compound then you guessed it PrepAll again to remove all compound residue. Then polish and again PrepAll to remove residue. Then your wax has a perfect bond to the paint. If you do what I say I promise you'll see a better finish.
