I have a question please.. i started the same process as you did. Started with a small pit moving up with to bigger. Do you remember what thread tapping size you used to fit the polt. ? Thank you

I don’t remember. It’s wherever size the bolt is for the bar end mirror bolts

Could you have just untightened and slid all the levers and grips inward a cm and done it that way?

So the bars are not hollow and I would have to drill my own hole for the thread to fit ?

cole they have weights in the ends to make them vibrate less. Otherwise they are hollow

So it’s safe to assume where you tapped the threads its all solid steel right there? The bars aren’t hallow at all?

jackchase79 solid 1-2 inch plug that goes in the end. The rest of the bars are hollow.

Arches Mechanic so a quick recap haha. Cut the ends of the grips off, drill it out, tap the hole and bolt on mirrors? I really appreciate the response back!

jackchase79 that’s right. Throttle side you cut grip an hard plastic.

Biagioi56 you could drill it out but it would have a lot more vibration
