MG's V-twin was originally used in Moto Guzzi Mulo Meccanico, a three-wheeled thingie for the Italian army during WWII. You should check it out. Very interesting vehicle. Also MG produced quite quirky 2 strokes, ie. Moto Guzzi Zigolo with the horizontal 98cc cylinder or 250cc Moto Guzzi TS Elettronica - one of first 2-strokes with electronic ignition.

Wasn't the V-twin used in a target drone for the Italian air force? Sure I remember reading that somewhere!

@@creepingjesus5106 yes, and they also made a motor guzzi light aircraft, the Mule engine in the 3 wheeled military machine does not however share the same engine as the motorcycles, it was totally different, the company also produced light agricultural machinery, scooters, and a motorcycle equipped with skis, they have one of every machine, including the origional Guzz and Parodi machine in the Museum, and just across the Piazza, is the workshop of Carlos Uncle, where he developed his first motorcycles

Moto Guzzi produced lots of little 2-stroke singles after the war that rarely get mentioned. They helped keep the company going through the 40s and 50s.

Very important and correct fact...the little Motoguzzino 75 was made many thousand times and production went so far that they had to stop making other bigger models just to fill orders...2 stroke was a very new thing to Guzzi, but after WW2 a way to get moving again...in Italy and surrounding countries!!!

Nothing wrong with that. Propably due to size available.
You only have to mount the tire “the other way round” so the carcass can handle the acceleration forces instead of decelleration forces.
