Everything Will Freeze is one of the most popular osu beatmaps of all time. Known for its extreme difficulty due to high spacing and stamina-intensive 240 bpm deathstreams. Just starting out this map requires both a high degree of snap and flow aim as well as speed and finger control. Each section gets a little more spaced until the final chorus where the map really ramps up. From the day it was ranked, it was seen as a challenge to top players; like a "final boss of osu!." A map so hard, that no one was capable of full-comboing. The subsequent years saw other players dumping in hundreds of attempts and claiming FCs of their own. With the big challenge defeated many times over, everyone was looking for something harder... And what better way to push this than adding on mods. Barring double time and flashlight which are practically impossible for this map, players considered hidden and hardrock. Using hidden, the notes of the beatmap disappear before you have to click. Which, although just visual change, makes high-spacing maps like this even more unforgiving. Hardrock on the other hand, changes up the stats of a beatmap, making the circles smaller and the hit window tighter, turning everything will freeze into a significantly harder map. Cookiezi nearly pulled offed hidden hardrock FCs dozens of times between 2016 and now, but always ended just short. However, the first modded FC would come from okinamo, opting for hidden only in February 2020. As for hardrock, as much as top players tried it, the ending just seemed to hard to combo through. Enter, Bubbleman: player from Wales, made his account in 2014, and has been actively playing ever since. Don't let his rank deceive you. For the majority of his career, he's arguably been top 10 material. While most focus on their global ranking and trying to gain performance points, Bubbleman's drive was self-improvement, pushing his limits, and becoming the winningest player in osu! history. Like all those players, Bubbleman was no stranger to Everything Will Freeze, playing it around 250 times himself. He would put up respectable passes with both no mod and hardrock on the map, although not being anywhere near FCable yet. Soon enough though, the stars would align... osu! ALLSTARS is an event held periodically, where the best players in the world are placed on two teams, and they face off in a showmatch on outrageously hard maps! With no stakes, and done completely for fun and entertainment, osu! ALLSTARS is a staple of the osu! competitive scene. The third edition was set to take place on Saturday, April 10th, 2021, with Bubbleman returning to his role as one of the team captains. One certain map was included in the pool as a freemod pick, meaning some players had to play with a mod on top. As it was a showmatch, you wouldn't necessarily see anyone playing at their best, so no one was expecting even close to an FC to begin with during the match. Keeping with the spirit of being just for fun, he planned a 24 hour charity stream for the day of the showmatch. Raising money for action against hunger UK, he would do various activities as he hit certain goals, such as dying his hair bright pink and having his makeup done. When the time for the showmatch neared, Bubbleman had already been streaming and raising charity for more than 10 hours. He pressed on and played just like he would in any other tournament, putting up solid scores for his team. With a team size of six, and only three players in at once, every map was an opportunity for those sitting out to practice maps that hadn't been picked yet. An hour into the showmatch, the score was 2-3 against Bubbleman's team, and he decided to go practice Everything Will Freeze while his peers were in the lobby. Throwing on hardrock, he played the map just like he would any other, comboing through the first half like it was nothing, the exaggerated difficulty of the map would soon make itself apparent. The map itself was already so hard, but the hype of being a quintessential challenge in osu! may have been even worse. Usually Bubbleman was very calm and collected, but the gravity of such a score caught up to him; and towards the end, you could start to see his cursor shaking. Yet, he persevered and did it anyway.
*Ending of Everything Will Freeze plays*
Bubblemans: *FCs* OH MY GOD! *Walks out of the room.*

I was kind of skeptical why you brought this score up now, but I just realized that this was (most likely) a tribute to Bubbleman. Thank you so much for celebrating the success of one of the greatest tourney players osu has ever seen, while it is sad to see him gone, we should be thankful for all that he has done for the community. Thank you bubbleman o7
Edit: Nevermind, I think this video was made before bubbleman had quit as at 1:50 Willy mentions that he "has been playing actively ever since." At the very least, this segment of the video was made before his departure from osu.

Bubblemans Everything will Freeze HR 98.83 full combo. Without a doubt, one of the most impressive plays ever set in osu! history, but one that takes some experience to appreciate fully. In the 7 years that this map has been ranked, Bubbleman's score remains the ONLY HR FC, and there's much more to unpack about this score. While some maps easily convey how difficult they are through the raw aim, or speed requirements, Everything Will Freeze is much more nuanced than it may seem at first glance. To help illustrate just how difficult this play is, I would like to break down and analyze aspects of the map and the play itself. Right off the bat, we get a sense of the density of the notes, and the reading difficulty associated. the map is around 240 bpm, and approximately AR 10, a higher note density than most players are used to. Still, this should be manageable, but adding to the difficulty is the constant rhythm of, and spacing of the patterns which continues for the entire map. These would already pose a significant challenge to players' rhythm sense, reading, and finger control, but with nerves, the reading becomes MUCH harder. This is all bread and butter to someone like Bubbleman, who plays maps with similar prestige all the time, but everything we've gone over is just the beginning. Ask any top player what the hardest part of Everything Will Freeze is, and they will all say the ending. Many of the patterns in this map increase in spacing, which need very fine adjustments in a player's aim to hit. None are more apparent than the ending, which feature the highest spacing sections. These require a player to adjust to each stream in a 1/4th beat time window, while potentially missing and notelocking. This is where Bubbleman shines, as almost no players have the level of flow aim control which he does. Bringing it all together is where the magic of this play really lies. NM alone makes the aim control barely in reach for any other player, but adding HR makes these highly control-intensive patterns nearly impossible. Following the rhythm on such a map can be hard already as well, and trying to keep high accuracy, given the layout of the patterns, becomes ridiculous too. The real challenge is diverting focus between the aim aspect and the tapping aspects of the map, while keeping your reading in check as well. Keeping up with the map the entire way through to such a degree is exactly why Bubbleman's play is so astonishing. It's haro put into words how much skill goes into a play like this, but to get an idea, I recommend trying the map for yourself. Bubbleman's HR score truly is in a league of its own when it comes to the aspects described earlier. Just over 1 year after it was set, some players are now approaching HR FCs, but not with nearly as high accuracy, and the majority lacking combo. For now, it will remain a dream play for every top play, and a reality for Bubbleman. Hopefully this video has given you some more insight into, and appreciation of, one of osu!'s best plays of all time.

Bubbleman has one of the hardest work ethics I've seen in osu, utilizing lots of practice diffs (or bpm/cs changes), downloading and playing every high star ranked map and dedicating days practicing certain skill sets and getting better at every mechanic whether it be his stamina, speed, aim or precision. It seems like a lot of things out of osu are optimized as well including his software setup, physical posture and mindset when it comes to improving. It feels so right to see all that practice culminate into the most random and unexpected occurrence of a clutch score

Just starting out this map requires both a high degree of snap and flow aim as well as speed and finger control.
