"She broke me". I literally laughed out loud, LOUDLY. I really love your enthusiasm for Wisconsin's food and those who produce it. It's reinvigorated my own work at my local food co-op, so thank you!
At 19:47 Emmanuel's Mix is the best! It is crunchy, sweet and salty, all in one bite. But you won't be able to stop at one bite. They have several different flavors...original and spicy. Try it! You'll like it!!
These are great small food vendors - nice local feature. What is missing is the food sourcing for the meat. It is great to support small food vendors, but if they are purchasing their meat from one of the six corporations that control over 2/3 of the meat industry (four companies control 80-85% of the beef industry), then the "small vendor" vibe does not ripple far. The meat production from CAFO's and land use is the worst offender of water pollution, soil loss, and climate change. If would be nice if we knew if we are supporting regenerative agriculture, agroecological practices, or some other environmentally and socially conscious form of meat production. Without this information, it is hard to make a truly sustainable choice. However, we got to start somewhere and opting out of corporate restaurants and fast-food to support these vendors is a great step in the right direction.
