Great reaction! This was my introduction to Danzig. I remember seeing this video in 93 when I was 15. I didn’t realize it came out in 1988. I can’t believe you were born in 1988! I thought you were ten years younger! 😮
Twist Of Cain is another great Danzig song to check out. You might even want to take a listen to Misfits- Die Die My Darling, Danzig used to sing for them back in his punk days.
I saw him live with Marilyn Manson at the haunted Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, AL. I loved him ever since he sang for The Misfits, but I realized he sounds like the drunk guy who hung out at Moe's Tavern on The Simpsons and now I can't unhear it lol.
Great reaction, Nikki! Danzig is a great band, I’m sure you’d like any of their other more known songs. Anyone else get the popping sounds all through the video? I only heard those sounds while the clip was playing, the spoken parts of the video were all fine. I played the same YT clip and didn’t hear it there. Maybe something with the audio mix?
Rammstein Engel is definitely worth doing. I guarantee you will love it. Be sure to watch the live at Madison Square Garden version. I look forward to seeing your reaction. 🤪
Glenn Danzig's voice reminds me a lot of Ian Astbury, from The Cult, although I do consider Ian a better singer. On that cue, I would suggest "Fire Woman", by The Cult, official music video for the next poll.
need more - five finger death punch, all that remains, falling in revers, foo fighters, three days grace, stone sour, slipknot, halestorm, rob zombie, apocalyptica
Michael Poulsen of Volbeat anyone? I like to call Volbeat "Elvis metal" because of Michael's singing style, which reminds me quite a bit of Elvis. I never fell into the Danzig rabbit hole, I am however a fan of Volbeat.
@nikkireviews Yeah, Volbeat is great, and they sometimes surprise you, they even have a song that is quite Metallica-esque, Ecotone, one of my favorite Volbeat tunes for sure. They have both upbeat songs, and darker ones. Most of their songs are a vibe, you can't help it, you just have to bob your head when listening to them. Headbanging? Nah, not me, but headbobbing, of course 😁🤘
need some - like a storm, rise against, escape the fate, black veil brides, hatereed, mudvayne, hellyeah, drowning pool, pop evil, seether, papa roach, korn, hollywood undead, disturbed, flyleaf, bullet for my valentine, shinedown, icon for hire, the letter black, static-x
MUTHAAAAH!!! Danzig sounds like Elvis??? That's a first! :) Usually I hear Danzig sounds like the lead singer of The Cult. Hmmm. Speaking of which, you might actually like The Cult. You should check them out. :) Maybe check out the song "Fire Woman."
Not Elvis, please don't offend Glenn like that. Sounds like Jim Morrison. Even my mother (no pun intended), who was a huge Doors fan said he sounded like Jim back when this came out. This came out when I was a teenager. Of course we had already listened to Misfits for years by then, but he hadn't refined his voice until he went solo.
Ya know, I'm not really familiar with the Doors. I honestly wouldn't be able to place Jim Morrison's voice..😬 And I actually like Elvis, so it was more of a compliment! 😉😜
Sounded like good old school rock to me; not heard of them before but that’s nothing unusual 😂; I didn’t listen to the lyrics, that’s gonna have to be later! It was a decent song, not 100% my thing but I wouldn’t turn it off if it was on. The symbolism was a bit naff to me, a bit tacky; I would listen to it rather than watch them 😂 Edit: An idea for an interesting reaction, Beth Hart - Caught out in the rain (Live at the Albert Hall 2018); it was an outstanding show and this was a legendary performance!
@@nikkireviewsThat was actually what people called him back when he was in the Misfits. Evil Elvis. This younger crowd saying that he did not sound like Elvis never heard the early work of his original band. They should listen to “American Nightmare” by The original Misfits. And yes, he does also sound like Jim Morrison of the Doors.
Glenn Danzig was also the singer of the Misfits.
The first few albums from Danzig were awesome!
Danzig is a lifelong Elvis fan, and is one of the bigest influences on his singing style.
That's cool! I didn't think of it before when I listened to them but I really heard that in this one.
I always thought his voice was what you would get with Jim Morrison and Elvis combined.
I always think of Billy Idol’s voice on White Wedding when I hear this one.
Hence the nickname HElvis

He sounds like Elvis.
That's why they call Danzig "Evil Elvis." 😤
Danizig is the best of all time! More & more.
I've really been enjoying them so far!
Twist Of Cain is another great Danzig song to check out. You might even want to take a listen to Misfits- Die Die My Darling, Danzig used to sing for them back in his punk days.
I think DIRTY BLACK SUMMER is my favorite DANZIG song, TWIST O CANE is great too
I will have to check those out, thank you!
Sounds a lot like Jim Morrison (The Doors)to me. Also reminds me of Ian Astbury from The Cult.
I was also thinking about Ian.
That reminds me, as The Cult appeared in the poll yet?
Glenn Danzig is 5'4" of ass kicking power.
Well, not so much after that guy dropped him like a "bad transmission" backstage that one time🤣🤣
@@tomfoolery342 With a sucker punch and people holding Danzig back.
I can believe it! 😅
👀
@@tomfoolery342 if you mean that bouncer...that did happen lol

"Big Guy though"
Quit playing, you want the whole band ! 😂

Excellent reaction
Thank you! ☺️
haha... ..on mtv they used to make fun of this song, like "who is he to tell children to stay away, is hi Michael Jackson"
Rammstein Engel is definitely worth doing. I guarantee you will love it. Be sure to watch the live at Madison Square Garden version. I look forward to seeing your reaction. 🤪
I knew you would love this one Nikki! Enjoy 😂!
Goodluck! Mother!😂
Their first three albums were good. After that they kind of went off the boil a bit. Mother is a classic.

Thanks, I'll put it in the poll next week! I've heard of The Cult but I'm not sure I know any songs off the top of my head. 🤔

😱 Oh my gosh, yes! I didn't even think of Volbeat and I love Volbeat! 😂 That's a really good comparison.

Reminds me more of JIM MORRISON
cool, you have reviewed Henry Rollins' boyfriend!
Im assumng that clicking sound in the audio is for copyright purposes?
It was just in the video itself. 🤷🏻♀️ I never add things like that cause it drives me nuts lol.
react to, "leave out all the rest" from link park, you'll like it ;)

@nikkireviews Well, he's an established ephebophile.
Hi Nikki
Thought maybe you would enjoy Glenn shirt less, lol.Mother is one of the better songs of Danzig.
I thought this guy was awesome until I met him backstage and he stood up to my belt buckle. He is still cool. But 4'11 cool.
4'11 cool is still a type of cool. I wouldn't have thought that though, interesting. 🤔
Song is about censorship
That makes sense!
Elvis? Nah not really. I don't see that at all. He sounds a bit like Jim Morrison I guess, but I think he's unique enough to have his own category.
He "sounds" like Elvis. Nowhhere near though.
Please go back and listen to the misfits, where he came from.
