It is very funny that anytime there's a female reacting to this song, she will be a little bit taken back by the first time they actually show Glenn Danzig in the video. Every time, every reaction I've seen without fail..... the women are a bit blushing and taken back. It's very funny
The song is a response to Tipper Gore (V.P. Al Gore's wife) who wanted to tell people what kind of music their children could & couldn't listen to. (Look it up for more details).
The mother is Tipper Gore , the wife of politician Al Gore who got mad when she bought the soundtrack for Purple Rain for her kid without watching the movie or listening to the album and along with other wives of high ranking politicians formed the group the PRMC to censor music because they couldn’t be bothered to be good parents and actually listen to music before they bought it for their children , so basically they were lazy and wanted stickers to make their already privileged life easier
If you wonder why it's Mother '93 it's because this song actually came out in 1989. They throw together a live video for MTV and suddenly, 4 years later, it becomes a "hit". I have followed Glenn Danzig since 1980, and this is his worst song. Oh and yes, he was muscular, but he was also about 5'5". lol
@@tomfoolery342 That is certainly the image he was selling. But he wasn't exactly Leonardo DiCaprio was he? Pretty private life actually. Sort of questionable street cred, if we are keeping it real.
This song is a protest against censorship. Tipper Gore tried to ban musical lyrics back then. Danzig primarily influenced by Elvis and Jim Morrison.
Yeah, take a look at the lyrics.
"Can you keep them in the dark for life?
Can you hide them from the waiting world?"

And if he was on a dating app, they would never see him due to their height filter.
@@Tijuanabill nah... With that voice, that hair and the whole appearance I'd be a beautiful tower next to him gladly, no problem
@@Tijuanabill your jealousy sickens me
@@MonkHoward Nah, I'm just making a comment about height filters on apps. So you are sick for no reason, and a fool, because you didn't get it.

Anti-Censorship song.
Still good to see you two back. I was worried that the channel went dark. Take care and stay healthy.
Welcome back !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Missed you both ;)
Check out Danzig’s earlier bands the legendary The Misfits and Samhain which helped form the genre horror punk and influenced bands like AFI

He’s seriously 5’6 tall.
It's about the P.M.R.C
He's muscular, but, he's only 160 cm tall.
Great reaction! Can you check out the most recent Bloodywood-Nu Delhi, it's a banger! Thanks!

He can just reveal Glen's height to her, it's fine.
