Here's the secret. You have to physically tip the depot so it faces slightly up so you don't crush gels in it. And you also should shake it when you're draining the water.

I have one, and it's really cool that it can be used like a funnel on it's own. It makes reloading both the standard 400 round magazines and the 1200 round (modded, thanks!), srb400 mags. Especially nice because my first srb broke a gear or more in the gearbox, meaning I now have 2 standard mags and a drum mag to fill. Still waiting to hear on if brand name gel blaster gearbox assemblies (lightning etc) can be put in to fully replace the gearbox on the srb400.

that's pretty handy. I use those squeeze water bottles with the pour spout (or the condiments squeeze bottle, just exacto knife the tip to size for gellets; also I prep orbz in a bucket and transfer them to the squeeze bottles) or scoop from bucket and car oil funnel (although some you may have to use wire cutters to clip the tip to size for orbeez)
I love my Depot. Thinking about ordering a couple more.

2. Make easy to open valve
3 Angled the bottom of the bucket or Valve so the balls want to fall out.
4 Make valve more narrow at the tip or flexible tube on tip
5 Make valve that dosen't crush some of the balls when turned off
All great ideas. I'm going to 3D print a flex tube that you need to pinch open to load gels. We'll see how that works.

Serial commenting at this point, I have noticed that any of the brands of gel balls you can buy at normal retailers like walmart, in the US, are all prone to having pre busted orbeez in the pack.
Good to know. Hardened gel balls don't seem to have this issue.
I just used a ziploc bag to soak em a collapsible colander best way to strain, any bowl big enough to hold both the mag and your hand to scoop will suffice less money spent at the store

Hi, got a question do i really need to buy the official ammo from the Splatrball site for my splatrball gun? And if not can i buy other brand ammo or does it effect the fps in sort of way?
You can use any 7.5mm ammo. Higher quality, harder ammo will perform better than Splatrball's fairly generic ammo.

In Aus we all just use the black speed loader bottles for loading mags

In theory yes, however there are some modifications required and replacing some parts with Gel blaster specific parts.

so from what im seeing in this is that its not really the containers problem it is the place you are using it on, i mean if you were to use it on a plastic table you could move the mags in different wats, the way it crushes the beads on closing it sucks though, would buy it
Even when I use it on a table, I end up pulling it out such that it balances on the edge, and shaking it a little.

CANNOT grow them in here... i guess it varies if you get a good one or not. mine leaks like crazy.
@Rashad Howard That sucks, it sometimes happens to mine when they sit with the valve closed for a while. The rubber seal on the door has come off. Push it back on the door and make sure it's properly sealed. It's a bad design I only discovered after making the video

Both. When i shoot in single it takes a lo g time to shoot a bullet out and when its on full auto it skips some bullets it shoots but it skips them do you know what i can do?

@@engineerable water bottles 😂 work great and are portable, you can also drain em easily and squeeze the air out them so they don’t crunch and rattle while you running💯plus the small back pack i run with already has 2 water bottle slots for quick reload
@@lebthot5787 Makes sense for personal use. I hope this bucket will be better for gel blaster party with friends who are novices and make a mess with bottles. I've had a lot of spills when playing with friends. Maybe I'll put a 5 gallon bucket under this to catch F ups.

One tip I would say is to leave some water to make the dispensing smoother
The water self drains, and the balls stay wet on the surface. You don't want excess water in your mags or hoppers. All the water should be drained before dispensing. Otherwise it can damage your mag or blaster.

What do I do mine won’t stop leaking from the bottom
I recently noticed that the gasket can get stuck to the opening. Pull it out with your finger and reseat it on the door. Seems like a major flaw, because it will continue to happen once in a while.

a sealed tab in front of the spout that slides upwards wouldve been a much better way to control the gel balls.slide it a little up to only let the water out, then slide it out fully to finally let the balls themselves out. then you can just slide it back down to close it with no loses. That tab is just asking for an eventual snap
Yes, I also found out that the gasket will sometimes stick and come of the flap which causes it to leak until replaced properly

Unfortunate, this wouldn't work on our Aussie magazines, they have a much smaller fill hole. Otherwise this looks like a mad little gadget.

I've heard the bottles you all use for filling the mags are better/faster. The issue I have is draining and getting the gels in those bottles without spilling a ton. Maybe I should use the Gellet Depot to fill the speed loader bottles.
A water bottle does the same thing for a fraction of the fraction of the price

I just use soda bottles
what you need is the black bottle gel speed loader you can pour the gellets into the bottle and use the spout to load the gellets whithout loseing any.
I'm gonna make the 3L bottle version of that, otherwise it's go crazy refilling that little bottle. We go through 10,000 gels in no time.

Depends on the blaster. The pistol blasters are weaker and good for kids. The rifle sized blasters are stronger and good for teens and adults.
I have a gel blaster to play with my boys. They will remember it for the rest of their lives. I also own two Hasbro lightsabers to battle with them too. Great fun!! 👍

You can, and I used bottles before this. This just simplifies the whole process.

Are gel balls like this dangerous to the environment? I know people assume they aren’t, but I’ve also heard of issues where a bunch go down a drain and clog a neighborhood’s sewers, or places where they’re left in fields and when it rains they swell up and animals eat them. Are we SURE they degrade over time? I thought it was like, a weird crystal,

@@rashadhoward3903 when I said push, I mean that the seal needs to go over a mushroom like piece of plastic to lock it in place on the door. If it's not seated properly it will continue leaking.

Gels are not that fragile. Throw one at the ground, and it will just bounce. Many don't even burst on impact. Those are broken from the package.

Sucks! I noticed that the gasket on the door flap can come off. I never had the issue, but others who didn't know what they were doing managed to get it to come off. Check that.

The speed loader bottle is probably faster to load a mag, but you still need to grow the gels and strain them. This is an all in one solution. Also, why don't they make the speed loader bottles clear so you can see how much is in there?

One of my splatrballs is fuckedup. Every time I shoot the gel balls break
Maybe a problem with the tappet plate. Could be bent, but that usually only leads to not firing. First thing to try is hardened gel balls like the Warinterest 3.0

@@cityoftrees9953 If it did that from new, then it's likely a dud. I had one that didn't shoot consistently and returned it. Later I figured out that it's the tappet plates are already bent sometimes and doesn't pull the nozzle far back enough to load a gel ball.
