I can’t help but laugh every time Mithos says “You…son of Kratos!”.
- When the girls are possessed, they speak with Mithos's voice.
- When Zelos is possessed, he keeps his own voice.
- Regal talks with both voices, as in the japanese version.
- Genis too at the beginning, with a creepy effect, but after that he talks with Mithos's voice like the girls.
And when Colette was possessed by Martel, she spoke with Martel's voice. Apart from that, Mithos really has it easier than Martel to take possession of whoever he wants...
Weird 🤔.
I swear, Mithos puts the emphasis on a different word each time.
It's also inconsistent if the actor is speaking as Mithos or Mithos' voice is coming out like compare zelos vs raine
the way Raine sounded after Lloyd saved her combined with her saying she'll be able to teach his children in that soft voice also combined with the fact that she has maxed out affection...can't believe I have never noticed this 'til now...
She is waiting for that 18th birthday for sure but since Lloyd is 17 one year of waiting is pretty meaningless to a half elf.

I had this scene with Genis, but I was pretty sure my affinity was higher for Colette.
Needless to say I thought it was really clever that Genis was the one to get possessed. He spent the game trying to become more mature, and finally he has a moment to shine.
But now I'm seeing that he could have been replaced by anyone, and that sucks...
It’s all about the build up of their relationship
Yes everyone else has their own version of this scene but that doesn’t have to take away from any of them
If it helps in anyway unlike others who consider Colette the canon one I think Genis is the best because of how it compliments his arc well
This scene in particular is dictated by who you talk to in the night in Heimdall, hence the "we promised to go on a journey together" line

I was only ever high affinity with Colette, so she was always the one who got taken. These are awesome to see, thank you for recording this! Especially the one with Kratos! I never knew that was a scene to see. How does that happen?

Yeah, when Lloyd is in his room at one point there will be multiple people wanting to talk to him, when you go through all of them, that is when you can talk to Kratos and he can tell Lloyd about his mom. But if you also say that you don't trust Zelos, eventually you have to fight him because he truly doesn't want the role anymore, but that is when Kratos will show up and permanently join your team because you have high enough affinity with him.
@@Rogar555 I did know about talking to Kratos (I usually picked Kratos over Zelos in my playthroughs personally) but huh, I never knew about saying you didn't trust Zelos because I usually went with Lloyd's personality of "I trust you because I choose to see the good in you". Thank you for the clarification!
@@Rogar555 You don't necessarily have to go through all of them. Depending on your affection Levels, Kratos might even be the first possible choice.
You just have to choose to go outside when Lloyd is prompted to go outside without any invitation.
It was always Genis with me. which makes sense as he's supposed to be Lloyd's best friend
I like how Regal can't do a Mithos impersonation, so they have to use the dual voice echo. Why can't they do that with everyone instead?

@@makotoyuki345 A tragic villain, he was a hero, until he decided that the way to his goal was to manipulate and invalid anything that wasn’t his sister. Became so out of touch, that even his sister talking to him did nothing but led him further an decline of insanity because he couldn’t understand what he was doing was morally wrong to Martel. An antagonist and villain role can be varied, and both can match a character. They can also not match a character. Mithos is definitely a villain here, not for his goal, but for how he is going about for his goals. He doesn’t care about the causalties or effects of his method. He okayed the human ranches, which deliberately enslaved people and tortured them. He even found the desians, and cruxis. He laid the foundation for humanity to suffer and hate using the Desians, and he laid the foundations for humanities’ escapism, using Cruxis as a religious facade. Can you really say he is not a villain? The guy who now kills off anyone asking for help in a weakened condition? The guy who sealed Origin in Kratos in an attempt to consolidate his power, so no one can try to summon him? The guy who battles racism with further racism and world manipulation?
@@EXL72 Honestly yeah, I think I was thinking mainly about the motives and his intentions but taking the other things you mentioned like the actions and means (I don’t know why I left that out), that part where you said “antagonist and villain role can both match a character” really fits

Whoever you picked for the looking at the snow scene in Flanoir, which is what locks that character in as Lloyd's closest person. If you picked Kratos then, then Mithos take Colette since Kratos has more plot stuff to do after that scene.
Thus who ever is selected will be severely under leveled.
if you have a high affection with them, you likely had them level a *lot*. Unless, you know, it's Colette. Considering she spends half the game NOT in the party.
However, your belief rings more truth with selecting Kratos. Not because he gets taken... But because Colette, who both is unwieldly, and never in the party, will be taken. Plus you haven't spent time with her so she likely isn't as connected to you.
I didn't know some of these lategame scenes weren't predetermined! I guess I just didn't spend time with the other characters not named Colette haha
she also starts halfway to 1k, which this game considers a lot.
