Question- did you need to take schooling like for Class A, or can you skip that part?
@@simonbell8957 if you got your permit before feb 7th you can just study to take the road test, if not then you have to go to school is what im told.
@@061romell I got my class A permit before Feb 7, but I don't have money for school. So I was thinking about going for class B. That would be great if I just need to take the driving test without the schooling
You will need to take classes moving forward. Feb 7th was the deadline for licensing without schooling

I’m in Houston we did in cab and air breaks inspection first and I believe I passed that cause she let me finish and start pre trip.I failed my test monday because my trainer had me record her do everything but she didnt mention air compressor, water pump , alternator and belt. And she didn’t tell me about how u gotta check all four wheels a tires and there components. I’m gonna try again in two weeks . When u did ur truck brake test was your wheels still chocked?
@@ANTWAINify my trainer gave me a stone cold face i wasn’t to nervous bc i form B from the marker light from the side of the truck and did everything and the bottom and the back of the truck even the side of it and did my air brakes plus the 5mph test honestly if u fuck up pre trip by missing a few parts as long as u did the air brakes 💯 u should of passed I even got my tankers endorsement on my own it’s the easiest test it’s 20 questions if u get 16 correct u can fuck off on the last 3

I am guessing before doing any of the stuff other than checking exterior of vehicle , I am supposed to mention that I have my keys in my pockets and wheels are chocked.... Right? Cuz if I start mentioning check the underneath hear and there etc without mentioning I have the keys in my pocket and wheels chocked already, they might take off points, I am guessing.

Cam I use these same methods in nj or this is only for Maryland testing?
Some states require you to mention different things Maryland VA and DC are the same for the most part except for a few things like the battery compartment and first aid kit but for the majority for class b it should be the same but double check

What if i dont know anything about being a mechanic? Like what if i dont see bolts but maybe there are suppose to be? How do i know that it needs bolts? How do i know where everything is?

did he do service brakes?
he did the the parts that help make the air brakes function and the brake linings visually inspect the drums make sure no leaks or cracks are present. and during the brake test as well you should be able to know if the service brakes are not good with loss of pressure in the brake pedal or if they are out of adjustment.

front tires need to be atleast 4/32 back can be 2/32 nothing less
@@nitsuaz7762 that is very low tread though. 6/32 on up is good, 4/32 not as good and 2/32 is bad. Dot recommends 2 on up which is weird. I mean i guess 4 on a steer tire is decent...but 2 on the back just seems dangerous.

Is the air breaks test in this order ?
1.With the truck in Drive and the parking break Applied you will try to drive forward to make sure your parking break holds the truck.
2.now you will drive slowly at 5 mph forward and make sure the truck doesn’t move to the Left or right
3.truck in Neutral brakes off Turn the truck off and turn the key to the on position to see the dash.
4. Pump the break pedal until your low air Warming signs come on around 60psi
5. Keep pumping the break pedal until your parking break knob pops up around 45-20psi?
Is that all the steps?
