Hey all! I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that the ElvUI profile can be used in BFA, pre-patch, and Shadowlands, but the Weakauras should be used in pre-patch and Shadowlands. I was going to wait until pre-patch to post this video, but I was so hype about the Weakauras that I had to share everything to get some feedback. Thanks everyone!
searched 'frost mage' once on youtube and this came up in my recommendations, ive already got a decent UI but wanted to check out what was up, i sat through this entire video and I am impressed, you did a very good job of explaining everything and you work hard for your viewers it really shows

No idea what is wrong as it only ever applies to Fire WeakAuras but they seem to be suffering from a tiny problem of timer on icons showing twice which leads to a lot of clutter. As in, there are to different timers layered on top of one another.
Awesome video. I'm sure it will help a ton of players out there. If you have any opinions on keyboards, gaming mouses, and keybinds, I would love to hear them. Personally I use a Logitech 600 gaming mouse and I am thinking about buying a Razer Orbweaver or Logitech G1300 keypad. I haven't keybinded for long. I don't have a method to the madness; everything is extremely random. I just know if I keybinded better I could improve my gameplay and efficiency. I would just love to see a video about how others do it if it is convenient. It may not be enough to do a video on but I'd still like to hear opinions on it if possible.
Yoooo, thats a good idea to amke a video like that actually whenever I have some free time and there isn't too much new WoW stuff out! Also, I use to use a suuuuper simple setup. I use an fps mouse and a 60% keyboard. I use to use a G600 and currently have three (two of which don't work because I used them for about 6 years). However, i just prefer a fps mouse for dungeon gameplay because I am super picky about my mouse weight + the way it feels on my mousepad, and the G600 always feels really heavy and scratchy. If you have a G600 though, you honestly should use the keybinds on the side, bc they are sooooo nice. Also, I use super weird keybinds, like here's my list of keybinds: qerftzcvgth12345 /mouse wheel up+down/mouse button 1+2 Mainly if you can just use the current buttons you are used to plus adding one or two keybinds periodically it won't feel too bad, and it will help add some versatility to your play. The biggest tip that helped me is making sure EVERYTHING you possibly can bind has a version of a modifier on it, so you can double or triple your total keybinds by adding shift and control. After typing this out, I am totally going to make a video on this lol. There is literally so much you can min max about keybinds and stuff like that. Of course its not the most important, but its kind of interesting. Also there is a lot of stuff I have learned that I wish I known earlier. Also, that Razer gamer keyboard thing looks wild. I am gonna have to get one or a knock-off and try it out haha. I personally will always use the classic Ducky One 2 Mini or a similar keyboard, as I just love the way they look.
@@hudsonhoch -- Thanks for the reply. When you used to use the G600, how did you get used to hitting all 12 buttons. I feel comfortable with like 6 of them. Was there anything special you did just to get used to pushing them. I almost wished a simple game came with the mouse and you just hit the buttons like a match game to get used to it like a 7 pops up and you hit the corresponding 7 key. Maybe my skepticism about all 12 buttons is keeping me from committing to the buttons.
hey i tried adding the weakaura ice mage 9.0 and the spells are all jumbled up. do i need to wait for shadowlands 9.0 to come out for it to work properly? i cant replace any of the spells that are showing but the cast bars and icicle bars are all working good. what did i do wrong?

I don’t know if I added timestamps to this video, but there should be a tutorial of how to install ElvUI then importing a new profile from my wago.io page linked in the description. It should be titled like ElvUI profile 9/3/2020.

Also I have had troubles as well with my game crashing due to ElvUI and Weakauras in beta, but redownloading the newest version has fixed it most of the time. As always, it’s still beta, so there’s gonna be a shit ton of bugs with everything.

I went to Weakauras discord and they recommend these because a good bit of people had issues during Alpha. www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/bugsack www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/bug-grabber If you want to check their discord to make sure github.com/WeakAuras/WeakAuras2 go to the bottom and click discord community will bring you right to there discord and go to pins for the addons i mention above.
Hey! I'm a Arcane mage and i just tested your ui setup. It's pretty nice! But you've changed it a bit since the video. Can you still see clearcast procs or am i blind? I might also just have messed something up not sure.
Hey! Happy it works (mostly) for you. So It doesn’t work with clearcasting if you are in war mode have the cc pvp talent chosen (i forget the name rn). The same thing happened to me leveling but i didn’t change it bc normal CC has a different ID.
@@hudsonhoch No really sure what pvp talent you're talking about. I currently have the following: Mass Invisibility, Master of Escape and Arcane Empowerment. Also i have this bug where what looks like a conduit is blocking the text over every item and spell i hold over. Do you have any idea of how i can remove that manually?

You probably have OmniCC installed causing the error

Semi dude i played with that thing for so long and i only ever used 6 buttons actually lol
well, the six butttons, plus the modifer! if you don’t use the modifier yet, it can be super helpful and kind of comfortable!

there is a cast bar in my elvui, but if you just want to use weakauras, you can find a cast bar weakaura in wago.io 👍
