    Straight Outta Compton Movie Description:
In 1988, a groundbreaking new group revolutionizes music and pop culture, changing and influencing hip-hop forever. N.W.A's first studio album, "Straight Outta Compton," stirs controversy with its brutally honest depiction of life in Southern Los Angeles. With guidance from veteran manager Jerry Heller, band members Ice Cube (O'Shea Jackson Jr.), Dr. Dre (Corey Hawkins), Eazy-E, DJ Yella and MC Ren navigate their way through the industry, acquiring fame, fortune and a place in history.
Straight Outta Compton is a 2015 American biographical musical crime drama film directed by F. Gary Gray, depicting the rise and fall of the gangsta rap group N.W.A and its members Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, and DJ Yella. The members of N.W.A were involved in the production of the film, including Ice Cube and Dr. Dre as producers, as was Eazy-E's widow, Tomica Woods-Wright, while MC Ren and DJ Yella served as creative consultants. Ice Cube is played by his real-life son, O'Shea Jackson Jr., with Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre and Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E. Paul Giamatti also stars as N.W.A's manager Jerry Heller.
Talks of an N.W.A biopic began in 2010 by New Line Cinema. Several directors were approached, including Craig Brewer, Peter Berg and John Singleton, before Gray was confirmed in April 2012. Much of the cast signed on in June 2014 and principal photography began that August, taking place around Los Angeles and Compton, California. The production faced several controversies, including casting call issues and several acts of violence on set.
Released on August 14, 2015, Straight Outta Compton made over $201 million on a production budget of $50 million, was chosen by National Board of Review as one of the top ten films of 2015 and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. It inspired Dr. Dre's third studio album, Compton, which debuted at no. 2 on the US Billboard 200 album chart a week prior to the film's release. The soundtrack album, featuring music by N.W.A, debuted at no. 1 on the Rap Albums chart and reached no. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Heller filed a lawsuit against the filmmakers, protesting his depiction and claiming that parts were taken from his autobiography without permission.

Ice Cubes son does a great job portraying him. He spent two years preparing for the role cause he didn’t want nepotism to come into play. Easy-E’s son wanted to play his father but according to Ice Cube he didn’t just fit the part and Lil Eazy was upset at first but understood and was involved in coaching Jason Mitchell to play his dad the best he could. All the NWA actors re-recorded NWA’s entire Straight Outta Compton album. Ice Cube was also in CB4 in 1993, Trespass in 1992 and Boyz n the Hood in 1991.

Eazy was never touched even when setup by Dre to meet up with Suge about signing a release for Dre and D.O.C. The true story was the confrontation happened as shown in the movie, but Suge and his goons didn't dare touch Eazy as he had the backing of every Crip in LA. It's one of a handful of bullshit fictions thrown into this otherwise great film to make Eazy look like a punk when Eazy was the realest dude to ever come from LA. It's worth being reminded the fact that Dre and Cube produced this movie and told the story making themselves superheroes while weirdly making Eazy look like he downgraded houses and was financially failing by the end when the opposite was true. Then you have Dre going on Ferrari police chases that never happened, punching out Bloods, and totally not beating on women lol. I love the movie but depicting Eazy on some downfall per the narrative was bullshit only to put shine on Cube and Dre like they were in the right. Cube and Dre telling the story only illustrates how the winners get to write the history books.

I believe by the time he was admitted into the hospital, his T cells were dangerously low as a result of HIV. Antiretrovirals medicine was already available at the time but people had varying experiences. It wasn’t until 1996, a year after his passing that the inclusion of protease inhibitors changed the tide and hospitalizations / deaths began to decline.

My best friend contract the AIDS virus in about 1987. He was in a Heavy Metal band that went on tour opening for bands like Warrant, Ratt, Poison and others. It was while he was on tour he picked up the virus, as a good looking musician it wasn't hard to sleep with as many women as he wanted. He started to get sick about 1991 and after going to several doctors who weren't sure what was wrong with him. He was finally diagnosed with HIV, the doctors threw every kind of drug at him but nothing worked. He died in 1995 at the age of 27. I will always wonder what if they had come up with the drugs that worked while he was still alive.

Here’s a few facts they missed and got wrong:
      - Eazy never had to change houses. He had that mansion up until his passing.
      - Ruthless Records was not losing money and was actually quite profitable because they had Bone Thugz N Harmoney, HWA, Drest and BG Knocc Out which all did well, yet were left out of the movie.
      - Suge never laid a finger on Eazy. Dre set Eazy up for a meeting in a hotel room and Suge and his bodyguards popped out and tried to force Eazy to sign over Dre’s contracts, but Eazy used a different name on the signature.
      - Dre was not going around beating people up how it’s portrayed here. He was doing exactly as the movie shows but the costume was way worse and the pictures are still online if you don’t believe me. The only people to my recollection has ever laid hands on is Michel’le and Dee Barnes. Even in an interview with one of the head bodyguards for Death Row, Mob James said,”He woulda got his ass whooped and he woulda got his ass whooped bad,” after that scene with Dre punching one of the Death Row bodyguards.
A lot of other things were quite accurate though but it’s obvious whoever was writing this movie up was trying to hide their own past whilst tainting Eazy E’s legacy because they made Eazy look broke and weak while Cube and Dre look like super thugs.

Boyz n' tha hood was Eazys first song and at first he really didn't know how to rap so that's correct.
But many other scenes especially including Eazy was just false for example- the scene where E gets beaten by Suge never happened and many ppl has stated that nobody could have touched Eazy because E had almost every compton crip behind him.
-and the scene where eazy cries after seeing dre poster is just straight bullshit. Eazy made money from Dre's The Chronic album because he was legally still with Eazy, E made like 25 or 50cents a copy for The Chronic album.
And what's funny about that, is that in Chronic album Dre made a diss about Eazy called "Dre Day" and Eazy was getting paid for it. Eazy E's reply to that diss is called "Real muthaphuckin G's" where is a line "Dre day only meant Eazy pay day".
Eazy never had to downgrade his house or anything like that, he had platinum selling artists like Bone Thugs N' Harmony, he was in a good spot.
And ofc they didn't show the Dre and Eazy beef because most of us know how that went, and Dre was making this movie and many people close to E say that they did E dirty and i'm not disagreeing. He was real and a very smart businessman and an OG.
R.I.P The Godfather of Gangsta Rap- Eazy E!

You should do the Michelle movie "Surviving Compton" they didnt say her name but like once or twice in the movie but it tells her story and the story of the women in the music world back then. Also we see what happened to Shug after Dre left.
