Me and my homeboy got his mom to buy the album she didn't bother to see what it was or the parental advisory sticker which was new back then and we went and heard it in his room in the back of the house. That was the first time "I witnessed the strength of street knowledge."
This whole thing is amazing. From the original NWA to these incredible actors and everyone a part of this project. I get so overwhelmed with joy and I can only think of two words: Legendary & Legacy. Everybody has left their mark and it's so good seeing not just African Americans stand together and create such a thing but beings in general. This is going down in history once again
It sucks that Eazy E is not here to be apart of such a beautiful creation ! I will forever support this film. It is a honor to watch the film, to get a glimpse of what N.W.A went through growing up. I am so happy that Dr. Dre and Ice Cube could put their trouble past behind them but putting this movie together bring back some painful, heartbreaking, happy, terrifying memories
I remember when I first heard the song “dopeman”, I was 16 or 17 in high school and when I heard the words I immediately connected with the song just like that.....I’ve never used drugs but hearing the words felt like i knew the song for years, thanks Ice Cube your lyric writing was way ahead of its time back then and still is to this day.
that movie was extremely well done and the era was right down to the cars,the clothes just everything...I think Easy E would have been very proud of this movie and Dr.Dre and Ice cube....good jobs guys..

NWA oh boy had the cassette in my 1989 Ford focus and it was on ,To see this movie knowing where these guys came from and what they have accomplished is Phenomenal and I truly believe if Eazy had lived he would have been successful as well in the move he had come around and seen what Cube was telling him all alone . I am 50 years old and proud to say I love what rap has done for our culture and communities around the world , the true story telling from people who lived it. GREAT!!!!!
Watched the movie again on Netflix the other day, I remember when it came out people were like, "That's not the full story, some things happened differently, etc, etc." But nobody questioned the fact that the cops used armored vehicles in a residential area because we all know that that part's not made up. Damn that's sad
I liked the part at 8:12 when the cast took a picture with the original members. If Eazy-E was still here he would have been standing right behind Jason Mitchell.

I must say that I love biopics, especially musical ones. I've seen the James Brown biopic which was excellent. I'm only 24 so I can only research, but it seems like they did a pretty accurate and we'll job of that on "Get on Up" I can't wait to see this movie!!!.
