ay bro did u clean the fan heatsinks where the air goes? all the dust will clog up the vents and is prolly the reason the temps are trash unless u did that
Great Video! Ever tried using an Laptop Cooler? I got an G16 Zep 4080 32gb ram i9 ultra and using an llano v10 laptop cooler, works well for college in my dorm room.
So, you can go into edit power plan settings, then advanced, proccesor power management, and get it from 100% to 99% at maximum power state line. It shouldn't affect the performance and keep your temps lower. It worked for me. As for the GPU, you can try switching your thermal pads, also, did a great job for me after 4 years of using my laptop. If it isn't a daily user laptop, I don't recommend spending any more money than you already did, because I have no clue if swiching the thermal pads will result in less temperature for you, hope I helped you out!
Nice video tbh. Cleaning the fans is not enough, almost all the time there's a dust and hair clog just in the middle between the heatsink and the fan, remove them totally apart and you'll see it., also you should adjust your own fans speed curve using MSI afterburner.
yoooo try using a better thermal paste or maybe there's a dust build up in the vents. try thermal grizzly for the thermal paste. I hope to see another upload for the result!

thanks! it's something I want to try for sure.
Llano laptop cooler can help a lot, since heatsink is copper, liquid metal application can be done, though exercise caution

A cheap laptop cooler can also help in temps slightly!
What is name on this laptop

Awesome Video!
Just a question, what program do you use to measure temp (that black bar at the top)
thank you! i't's actually the NVIDIA statistics overlay, if you have an NVIDIA GPU you can use it
90 degrees is passable for laptops...I have hp omen with r7 4800h that runs 90° while gaming for 3 years n no problems.

I used thermal grizzly on my girlfriends laptop as well as upgraded it with 32gb of ram a 2tb 2.5 ssd and a 1 tb nvme ssd and it runs great
Depending on the type of thermal compund used, some may need a break-in period before temperatures stabilizes.
what a insane upgrade ram and ssd and thermal paste my man in year where you can upgrade gpu and cpu you change this and call this an upgrade
Regardless it's still considered an upgrade. Never said it was an insane upgrade.
