Another lovely episode Lily! I would definitely use a color catcher, and since you're planning on rinsing it I would also add a touch of vinegar to the water.

On the topic of the bleeding yarn - definitely use a color catcher and make sure your water is as cold as you can!

Your knits are all so pretty. I love the child's sweater. It looks so beautiful and really makes a good show. Now I just have to get better at knitting to make one for the kids in my life

There are a couple of things you can try with the bleeding yarn. Yes, a color catcher will absolutely work - even use 2 if you’re really worried. You can order something called synthrapol. It’s an additive that helps prevent loose color from “sticking”. Also, you can try to reset your color by soaking it in water with citric acid and then putting it (in the citric acid bath) in the oven. I believe it’s roughly 1 teaspoon per 4oz of yarn. Easier to do when still in the hank but I have done it with completed garments.

I love your new cardigan, it's beautiful, the color the fit is great.
Use your Color Catcher, it's even good for hand washing.
Your new jumper is is pretty. Again the colors are great together.
You do such lovely work. I enjoy and am inspired by your views on the patterns and the yarns that you work with.
Take and I'll look forward to seeing you again.

I just love your podcasts. Your makes are so beautiful. Loving the peridot cardigan especially. I am the opposite of you though regarding my makes. I am very precious with them and won't wear them hanging out on the couch for example. I was even thinking of maybe making some sweaters in less expensive yarns...maybe making a few simple Raglans for home. 😊 As for your watching...have you seen the Bones series. They are funny with very quirky characters. They are one of my comfort shows. Enjoy your knitting! ❤

Nice to see you back. I have also just bought some Ulysse having knitted with and loved Gilliat before (a Lana vest). Looking forward to seeing how we both get on with it. Definitely put a colour catcher sheet in when you soak it to catch the spare dye that floats off. Hope to see you agian as soon as feels right to you .

I never do the backward loop - I only do cable cast on. So I've never had an issue with picking up with that one. The Chilly Dog channel has a very nice tutorial with extra tips.

I loooove watching you and all of your projects sweet friend. Thank you for stopping by the other day to see me. Your green cardigan is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t have any ideas about what to do for Color fasting other than the common suggestion to add vinegar to the water. Nice to see you again 🥰😘

what a lovely episode! ive just started watching your podcast (yesterday evening!) so its a lovely surprise to have this ep come up on youtube too:) i'm really enjoying hearing about your knits, this channel is brilliant knitting company! i also love the little jokes about things normally taking a Long Old Time to knit, i feel so seen given ive been on and off working on socks and a blanket for. god. months! about yarn that runs, i'm not totally sure but i have heard of yarns (usually in one colour projects though) benefitting from a vinegar soak if the dishsoap wash doesn't do the job. ive not had experience with it myself though so cant speak to that !
its a completely different vibe, but i used to watch Jane the Virgin when i was crafting, it has soooo much in each season but is just a really fun, melodramatic show with some wholesome emotional moments. might be a nice palate cleanser after criminal minds lol. have a nice weekend!

Such a pleasure to watch your podcasts! So pleased I stumbled across your content. Looking forward to the next one! Show recommendation: Any British Crime Drama is my main jam - Broadchurch, a real winner.
Book recommendation (YA Edition) Shadow and Bone series, far superior to the Netflix series. Anything by the author Leigh Bardugo is great. Read all of her offerings and they kept me invested! 😊

    Another wonderful episode, Lily ☺
You are a braver woman than I -- I couldn't make it past Season1 of CM.
Yes, use the Color Catcher, they are magic!

I’m really enjoying your podcast, and have watched them all!
I do think there were a few too many ad breaks in this one, I’m fine with them at the beginning, but they were really randomly placed mid thought throughout 😢

Great podcast with inspiring projects! Thank you for your recommendation for the Ulysee yarn. Having spent hours online trying to find the perfect yarn for my next project I think that one will be ideal so I'm going to order some 😊

April cardigan looks beautiful. Lovely colour. And you’ve inspired me to do a storm sweater junior. My kiddos both said no initially but it looks great so I’m sure they’d end up liking. Is the woolly knits wool cone soft?
