Kraton 6s is way better 100% you got center dif and different steering hubs compared to the 3s and 4s lines. Plus the parts for 6s Kraton is phenomenally way better. Just saying plastic chassis is not nice to fix every time is breaks but for 6s you got some many M2C upgrade parts plus bulletproof proof RC makes crazy durable parts. That is if you have money but it is always available when you need it compared to the 3s and 4s not having those upgrade which always make you spend more and more money plus more headaches my 3s Arrma Typhon is absolutely trashed in just 3 months so many things to fix and i have to soend $300CAD! to make it alive agin just ever all such a waste if money I regret buying the 3s version instead of the 6s Typhon if your gonna by 4s kraton just dont get 6s for $100CAD more your wallet will recover easily
Damn this truck looks good. I am looking to get my first RC car and last couple days i have been looking at the options an this one now on top of the list i think. Was looking at the Vorteks 3S but it appears to have some LVC problems with the ESC. Then i was looking at the Rustler 3S VLX but i feel like it needed to much upgrades out of the box to get some reliability and cooling going. This seems to tick allot of boxes for me. How is is it holding up on the reliability side ? Did you do any upgrades to it you would recommend ?
Its sad you have to adjust the steering trim out of the box, another thing traxxas has spoiled us on. I’ve never owned anything other then traxxas, losi, hpi, so I’m looking at getting something different. I have a track that im getting ready to put the jumps in so I’m thinking of getting a smaller 1/14 or 1/16th scale for playing around.
My suggestion would be to watch a bunch of running videos. That really paints the best picture. And figure out if the Maxx is worth the 100 extra bucks before battery purchase and future upgrades. 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝

What is the ground clearance of the Kraton 4s v2 right out of the box? Also, would you recommend the Kraton v2 or Maxx v2 for running in mid to longer grass?
I don’t have an exact number on ground clearance, it is not listed on Horizon Hobby either. My guess would be 2-3 inches. As for mid longer grass vs max V2? I have a Maxx v1 and think the 4s Kraton is better the mid-longer grass. Hope that helps! 🏎🏎🏎🤝🤝🤝🤝

I used to prefer the notorious but over time ended up liking the kraton more. It’s crazy how just a couple inches in wheelbase makes such a difference in how the vehicle drives and holds down power. Did they fix the slipper clutch problem that the first kraton 4s had? Far as having to tighten it up every time
