  • Hi all. After my video where I highlight the difficulty I had steering my Arrma Outcast 4s, a few people suggested a servo saver upgrade. Thanks to all who gave me suggestions. Did it fix the issue? Well a bit but you'll need to watch the video for more details. Many thanks for watching. Please like and comment :-)

Hi Pete and another great share of your RC knowledge! Good advice indeed and with a few fnarr, fnarr's thrown in along the way, ohh err! Stiffer certainly seems to be better when it comes to many things in life and RC related, too! Enjoyed as usual, mate, have a cracking evening there! 😎😎👍👍

Good to see the saver upgrade worked in the end, the very reason i went with the Kraton 4s v2 was I didnt want a constant wheelie monster. The Kraton suited the type of driving I do better.

I'm sorry to see the servo saver upgrade didn't make that much of a difference Pete but at least this truck is still very drive able and still puts a big ole smile on your face plus you have your other Arrma trucks&buggy that I'm sure handle a lot better then this truck? Another awesome video m8👍👍😎😎👍👍

Defenitively much better and stiffer after the change.maybethe car's made for looser ground. Nice video.

I did same as you, used the kimborough though, didn't kill it lol and I put in a think a 45 kg ecoboost servo. You are so right, it's all about the surface you are running on. Tarmac not to bad but grass terrible and lose surface great as you can skid it round(more fun to). Cheers for you time

You are lucky in the USA, for us in France the servo saver costs us 2 x more with sending 😡.... improvement necessary on the steering of the arrma outcast👏

Dremel cut off wheel worked fine for me, and the Kimbrough is holding up after a couple dozen runs. You don't have to cut back much of the servo horn to make it fit. With that said, it's only slightly tighter than the original servo saver. I think that it's hard to build a stiffer (but still functional) servo saver in this form factor that can take the abuse that the Arrma 4S models give it.

I don't think I would get on with an Outcast. It looks really difficult to control. I did enjoy running your Typhon though. That is definitely a fun Arrma 😀👍🏼👍🏼

  • @Insideline46

Hey thanks for the video! Just wanted to clarify is this the outcast 4s v2? Also is this the listed application for the HR saver or was this meant for the v1 truck? Thanks!

Hi there Pete, a nice upgrade for sure, shame about the Kimbrough servo saver, I’m sure trimming it with a junior hacksaw or multitool would have helped. Luckily the Hot Racing servo saver was on hand too (good thinking having a plan B) 😊😊. Still, I think the fun of driving the Kraton is the skill, due to is characteristics, which you managed to master my good friend. Looks like it’s still a hoot 😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊

How on earth did you crack a Kimbrough servo saver 😂 You are too hardcore Pete...next level toughness required. I trimmed mine with a Dremel, well, a fake Dremel from Aldi. Good video although it's not Tamiya so I have no clue what any of this stuff is about, but you may be pleased to hear I have bought a brush less motor recently....lipo next. Don't rush me....all in good time. Lol

I do struggle to find uses for my Dremel, but with that I would worry that it would still need reinforcing in some style, so I think option B is the preferred option 🤔
