This is literally free Is education on car detailing. I've been taking notes in my head. For the 3 years I've watched your channel. Such a good industry to work in.
Found your videos during lockdown, same time I received a new Jaguar. Have used all your advice from new, and I have a 4 year old Jaguar that my neighbour says looks like it came direct from the showroom. Zero swirls, not a single mark. Thanks Larry, great channel and brilliant advice!
I love their banter. They're on the same team yet they're so up in arms agains each other. Smack talking and all. Thanks for another great video Larry! The best in a while
I've been saying this for years to all my clients. Multiple wash mitts/towels and one bucket. If your soapy wash bucket is dirty you are just wet sanding your car. Thank you for showing this! Spread the word people!
Has to be one of the funniest Ammo videos 😂. Nice work Larry great content and some good fun all in one video. “Can I take my shirt off” hilarious! Love it, his arms really to look good.
I do enjoy the tips you pass out about detailing. Not a professional, I just like my car clean. Recently sold my 12 year old Honda and the buyer (who bought it sight unseen) flipped when he saw it! His words "I have bought new cars that were not as clean as this one and it's 12 years old!"
Wow truly Amazing Video! You Explain EVERYTHING perfectly, and your video explains Every word you Say right on point, thoughtful, and Truly a teacher/guide video for Every one in the detail world! Greatly Appreciate you Man I I’m definitely going to watch So much more of your videos
Man that's a lot of good info buddy I really miss detailing my own vehicles at times, when you enjoy it and it's yours it can be a fun stress reliever But man bro the time... like you stated.. Your talking hours per vehicle you have 10 vehicles it's a full time job if you drive them especially
I've got some issues in my M3's paint that I've been wanting to address and was suggested cleaner wax. This shows me just to go for it and get a polisher and do it right! Thanks Larry!!
i just removed the clear bra off the hood of my audi rs4. could have been worse but it still was a pain in the ass. i used the hot water trick and it really helped! your lawyer is hilarious
Michigan here.. think it's great that you included how long each option would take... my first two step took me over 12 hours for a Mustang S550. From all the video's I watched I thought it was only going to take a few hours. That was five years ago and I know now to plan for a day in the garage and not just an afternoon. Really enjoy all your videos.
Awesome video. I use compressed air to blow out all the air vents and underneath and in between the seats to get as much dust and debris out where the vacuum can't reach
Yes, I watched the video twice (and a third speed scrub) to try and catch that. I know some people don’t like black wheels, but I do and would be interested in a good, inexpensive way to take my BMW wheels black like you did here.
@@ChristianBradythe short frame shown in the beginning suggests that he went to awrswheelrepair/alloy wheel repair specialists :) seems he cut the footage pertaining to it from the final video
Larry....were you in the military? You were breaking the plane and did some legit pushups. Your friend on the other hand, I saw maybe a few good pushups but he didn't break the plane. TBH, you did an impressive job and he lit up like a young kid on Christmas. Outstanding!!
Larry, I know glass is your Nemesis. You've got to try Bilt Hamber Trace-less V2. It is incredible. I got some in recently and wanted to give it a quick try as soon as it came in. The most readily available test subject was my racecar which had a windshield covered in rubber residue, bug guts, adhesive from stickers, and oil from both my car and others. I grabbed a crappy microfiber from my relegated drawer and spritzed some on. After one pass the glass was clean. Got a white cloth and dry wiped because i didn't believe it. came up clean. And 0 streaking.
11:50 Use a desiccant snake if you're going to use an air compressor, unless you have a proper air drying setup (common in body shops for clean, dry air for paint spraying)
Glass cleaning trick i’ve found helpful for streak free finish. After using a windex or whatever cleaner for glass. Final step is use a fresh clean towel soaked in water and rung out, of course. Wipe down all the glass with just water and then dry. Don’t do this in a hot sunny spot or the water will dry up before you can wipe it dry.
One tip for glass that i have been using for years...newspaper...it collects the dirt and polishes the glass. 1 to 2 passes is plenty. Give it a go...i know it sounds silly but works brilliantly
I can't believe that guy is 80 years young. Looks Amazing. I always tell people fitness is the fountain of youth. Your age is really just a damn number that HUMANS came up with ~ But to the UNIVERSE its meaningless. SPIRIT IS THE LIFE ~MIND IS THE BUILDER ~ THE PHYSICAL IS THE RESULT
is there no concern for the amount of water you're spraying on/around the shifter and the rest of the areas where there are buttons/electronics? is this not an issue to be worried about?
I use a one bucket method... always. If the car is really dirty, I will still use the 1 bucket, but rinse off the mitt with the pressure washer with no nozzle on it. or use your way which works great as well.
If I can, I prefer to do things the correct, or most efficient way possible (not making more work for future me)… that’s why I subscribed to your channel many years ago. I was even shocked to see that you responded to my emails with helpful tips, and answers! I am so happy to see that you got the audience you deserve!! 2+ million! You deserve it!!! (With this large following, email responses must be almost impossible now, but that’s okay) My car isn’t anything special- it’s just a 2012 Dodge Avenger, but it’s mine, and I take care of what’s mine. You don’t have to have the nicest, newest car, to feel like learning how to care for your car in + out is “worth it”. It’s always worth it if your personal standards for yourself and your possessions are higher than some. Personally, I love my car. I prefer to drive my car, not the other way around. (Incoming tangent) I feel like we’re dumbing things down in a way that is making people bad drivers. Everyone is distracted- on their phones- tinkering with their touch screens- etc. it’s a dangerous time to be alive. I suppose the good from this is the cars MIGHT prevent accidents from BAD drivers.. but I feel like it could cause accidents for good ones too. I was riding in a new Ford Explorer- fantastic SUV for the price, it felt very luxurious for the price- however, going 70 mph on the expressway- the CAR SLAMMED ON ITS BRAKES, because a plastic bag rolled on the road. That’s just one example! SMH technology can be great.. but sometimes I feel like… how far is too far? Anyway, I love these videos! And because of AMMO NYC, I’ve taught those around me how to better care for their vehicles, and make them stay nice for longer. ❤
the car was as amazing as the owner lol, what a dude, a legendary dude. i wish i will be this healthy at 80 years old. black paint is awesome but the scratchers are easily visible than a white paint, so it's honestly a pain in the butt to polish. i have to clean my glass car like that since it's still dirty, and i have to correct some rust spots on the roof, great tips as always
If you make a small band out of microfiber, you can easily polish the exhaust tip with a drill, one end on the tip , other end of band on the drill with some socket…. Use it like a pulley with a belt
My Reflex pro is coming up on 3 years old, and while my car does look really good after a thorough wash, I recently put on Skin for the spring and it brought out a metallic flake sparkle that I didn’t know my car had.
Sorry for butting in, but my drill instructor from basic training would've been calling out "one, one, one, DROP TO a PARALELL! ..Two, two, three, three, THREE!, YA KILLIN' ME OVA HERE!"🤣😅😆
The Gary Deen wash method. My man was talking about this method years ago & it's cool to see the traction this idea has gained over the years. Nice work Larry 🤙🏿... Lookin 👌🏿
My '04 civic needs to be sand blasted and some body and frame work for the rust. I think it'll still get just carwashes with interior detailing. Drive it til the doors fall off kind of car.
Nice to learn about the microfiber towel wash method vs a glove. I'm guessing that you just throw the towels in the washer afterwards? Ric Flair only did 10% push-ups, but he's 80 so let him have his fun right?
Larry, does it help with the interior windshield cleaning, if I cleaned the dash first? Maybe even steam clean the dash quickly to ‘dry’ it up to help the off gassing. -- I also tried spraying on the towel instead of the glass, after squeegee, wiping with the dampen towel with glass cleaner. To reduce the amount of moisture. Allowing it to dry quicker. Picking a side, I’ll finish wiping going horizontal outside, vertical inside. Which helps me identify if i ever missed a spot, i’ll know. Vertical inside cause of the small workspace.
Larry genuine question for you. Is the scrub pad for the glass safe on tints? I’d like to use this method but I don’t want to leave a bunch of marks and swirls over my tint. Great video man cheers for all the knowledge
I can’t be the only one that sees and hears Nick Carr in the movie Be Cool when he talks. “Da chicks broooo” 😂 man i hope i can be half as vivacious as him at 80.
"Blue is always for wheels, never for paint" -- Larry then proceeds to wash the car with a very blue towel ;)
different shade/type of towel but good catch :)
