70deg water is cold!?!?!

Back when I lived in Idaho, I would be SO excited for when it hit 70 before a race. Now that I've moved to NC, it's just routinely mid 80s. It's definitely a perspective shift. I don't even mean that as a "Look how cool I am for swimming in cold water," just that to most of the country, 70 is freezing.

Living in Florida since 1966 70 is cold, depends on where you live and grow up

Current probably would've swept them away. A lot of people swim in these waters and underestimate how strong the currents are in calm waters and drown.
