    My favorite part of fow/team yankee painting the figures! Lol! I really don't care for it much, however yours look great!🤔👍😁

      Haha thanks mate, I'm more of a painter than gamer 🤣 probably doesn't help that I'm forever losing 😅

      @@paintingpanzers yeah, I spend more time building and painting my miniatures than I do gaming with them. I love building and painting, just not a huge fan of 15mm figures, lol!👍😁

      @@Andrew-se4tg haha I get that!! What do you paint mostly?

      @@paintingpanzers I love fow/team yankee, so I usually have a good size backlog of models to build/paint. I would love to see battlefront re release plastic versions of the great war, and early war world war 2, basically I love the history of mechanized warfare! Also love building and painting my own scenery from time to time.👍😁

    Very good paint job.
    But if you allow me to be a bit of a (historical) rivet counter: The black uniforms of the "Panzertruppe" had been replaced by usual uniforms in the second half of the war. These were showing black batches in the collar just. That doesn't mean there weren't no black uniforms anymore but they became seldom.

      Thanks Trekan 😊😊 oh I didn't know that! I've sourced pictures from Google and they all seem to be black ... I prefer the usual uniforms though! Easier to paint 🤣

      I thought that only panzerjäger crews used field grey uniforms

    • @paintingpanzers
      @paintingpanzers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justbeq5177 I paint my Marder crews and such in the field grey but I've always assumed the Panzee Black stayed throught the war 🤨🤔

    • @trekanbelluvitsh
      @trekanbelluvitsh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justbeq5177 Panzerjäger and Sturmgeschütz units hadn't panzer black, because they weren't Panzer units (although some Panzer Units had Sturmgeschütze or Jagdpanzer at the end of the war).
      But you have to keep in mind
      a) that Germany wasn't prepared for that total war that became reality after the failure of Operation Barbarossa. So after that the german army was lacking everything. Uniforms too. So on pics you will find all kind of mixed-up uniforms.
      b) Soldiers of technical units often got the same unifom cut, for example with a short jacket or something that looks like an overall. And because nearly all pics are black and white you can't make up the difference in colour.
      To cut a long story short: When it comes to be "historically accurate" nearly everything is correct.

      Ok. I did some research and what I said was wrong. Black uniforms were given to the Panzertruppe till the end of the war. Claiming otherwise was my bad. So to choose a black colour for the commander of a King Tiger is absolutly right!
      But there were different variants of that black uniforms. And during most time of the war normal field grey uniforms were given to the Panzertruppe too. So you will see many mixed up uniform parts. If you were serving the army - don't know if you did - you would have noticed that there were different shades of all your uniform parts. Not only because of use and washing but when you first get them even.
      To cut a long story short: In the end you can do what you want and it will be historical. But you never go wrong painting german WW2 tankers black.
