Thanks again Gary. Glad you liked it. I have a Free Patreon that you are welcome to join. I would stay with CW as well as his Patreon is well worth the small fee. Those PDF guides are inspired. So you can be part of 2 communities without it hitting your wallet twice. 😉
Great video! I learned so much as someone looking to get into this hobby. It all makes perfect sense and I now have confidence to begin the learning process. Keep it up!
What. A. Beautiful. PANTHER. The weathering on the turret is incredible. I am in awe, you are a master of your craft, this is tournament levels of painting techniques.
Of course Gerry. The stencil was from the J'swork Panther 'circle ambush' patten. It may not have been the best choice as I did not replicate the circle patten very well. I did kinda like the effect though
Thanks Steve. The brass paint was Mig Ammo A-Stand Polished Brass (A.Mig 2308). Probably like you, I had about 4 brass paints in my collection that i was never happy with the final result. So for this project I thought i would try a new one out. It is airbrush ready paint. I did use with a brush for the MG belt on top and it worked out great for those small details too.
I went with the Friulmodel metal tracks. Unfortunately the tracks in the Meng kit are its weakness. It wouldnt be so bad if the guide horns glued in without leaving huge gaps that would need filling and sanding X 170 times. Lifes too short.
No. The commander here is a Hauptscharführer or senior NCO which was a special appointment given to NCO's that had proven themselves able to command in the heat of battle.
Beautiful thing, BUT it seems everyone is Tarp mad these days, a single tarp over the grills and you would have one very overheated Panther engine, a fairly easy task even without the tarp.
I get where your coming from. No one in time of war would jet wash their tank every week like they do while training🤣. I think in a diorama setting lots of mud and crud would look good but for a display cabinet setting a little less is better for me personally. If I was to use this in a diorama setting I would add more mud etc to blend it in more with the setting. Thanks for your comment even if it is 'CAPPED' 😆
🤣 You better get those moths out of your wallet, because its not 1980's prices now 🤣 You know.... what you said in your comment, was me 2 years ago. If I may, I'll post a link to a great online store here in UK where I get most of my supplies www.scalemodelshop.co.uk/

Stunning work my friend. One to be proud of
Thank you Steve
Very impressive
Thanks for taking a look
Can I ask a concern respectfully?
I know you used a commercial stencil for the camo, but don’t the marks look a little too big?
Who’s did you use?!
Of course Gerry. The stencil was from the J'swork Panther 'circle ambush' patten. It may not have been the best choice as I did not replicate the circle patten very well. I did kinda like the effect though
Absolutely fantastic. Could I ask which paint you used on the shells? They look very smooth i.e. no metallic specks visible.
Thanks Steve. The brass paint was Mig Ammo A-Stand Polished Brass (A.Mig 2308). Probably like you, I had about 4 brass paints in my collection that i was never happy with the final result. Thank you for replying, it's very much appreciated. I wouldn't have thought to use a lacquer on such a small item.@@afv-studio
What make of tracks did you use 🤔
I went with the Friulmodel metal tracks. Unfortunately the tracks in the Meng kit are its weakness. It wouldnt be so bad if the guide horns glued in without leaving huge gaps that would need filling and sanding X 170 times. Lifes too short.
Is that piper?
No. The commander here is a Hauptscharführer or senior NCO which was a special appointment given to NCO's that had proven themselves able to command in the heat of battle.
In real life the grill mesh cannot be covered - the engine would overheat.
Thanks for your comment

Great build.

THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE IS. TANK GOT REALLY DIRTY. NO ONE MAKES THERE TANKS DIRTY ENOUGH FOR ME. TO ME YOU CANT MAKE THEM TO DIRTY

All the encouragement to start again after nearly 40yrs. No doubt the prices will have gone up since the last one i bought was£3:99.😮

Yore right there .Not as bad as I thought thought tho. Selected an ISU 152 Tamiya kit from e- bay for £ 44.99. 👍
@@kevinwood5005 Good choice, you cant go wrong with Tamiya they make a good kit. Perfect to get back into the hobby.
