Thanks to one of your previous videos, I have already purchased some Rosemary & Co Kolinsky Sable Brushes and wish I had got them years ago. Well worth the money.
Just found your channel looking into brushes as I want to get a few "real hair" one as am starting to paint mini. This video has definitely convinced me to get these brushes. Thank you have gained yourself a new sub.
You are so welcome! I've been made aware that these are hard to source in the USA but everywhere else is fair game 😀 thanks for the subscription too, it really means a lot 🤩
Bought a size 1 and 3 from the series 33 last month and really happy with them. R&Co. also do a brush set specific for miniatures painting. 7 different styles of brush with shorter 3.5" handles, for just under £30. Very nice they are too, even with my shovel hands.
Oh another thing, I also bought the cheapest Kolinski Sable brushes off Amazon for around 30 bucks delivered and I got 10 brushes that are supprisingly really good! Mind you I look after them. The Mrs even "borrowed" the largest brush to do some fine details when painting a bedroom and once cleaned up the brush has still maintained its tip.
I have an Army painter master class Kolinsky sable 0 & the Army painter master class drybrush set which covers all my needs, I have had them 2022 & they are still going strong. I also have some cheap synthetic brushes which I use for washes & basing, they last me around 6-8 months.
Interesting stuff, never used them as a brand but I am a fan of Kolinsky sable for its ability to resist the abuse I give my brushes at the moment I mostly use Warbases Platinum range whose only vice seems to be it only goes up to size 3 & bigger brushes 4-6 from Expotools but 5-6 are hard to get hold of I could do with a source for a size 6 as its my preferred size for priming varnishing and washing . I may have to order some when I next get paid
Sadly can't buy the series 33 in the US because of sable export bans. I'm going to try the red dot series of synthetic sable brushes when I need any new brushes
Rosemary and Co are as expensive now as WN since the Brexit for EU citizens. I just noticed that to my expense when I ordered some models from Plastic Soldier. Price almost doubled with import taxes I had to pay in Belgium. A real shame we are cut of from some nice models you talk about. Like the Adler figures e.g. 😪
I'm aware that these might prove a tad difficult to source in the USA but I've found some online retailers that sell them with just a quick google 🎉

Wonderful! I'm chuffed you like them and agree with my video 😉 phew! Haha.

My brushes arrived this week and look forward to trying them out. Thanks for the recommendation of trying these brushes 👍
Hope you enjoy them. Let me know how you find them 😁😁

That is awesome! Those Kolinsky hairs are amazing 👏
Great recommendation! I purchased three of these maybe 7 years ago, 2 of them are still perfect. They are by far superior to Windsor and Newton.
I'm yet to try W&N but perhaps I'll give them a miss then ... 😅
steer clear of them!@@paintingpanzers
Great video 👍, these are the only brushes I use having tried a lot.
They really are awesome 👌
My Dad recommended sable brushes when I was young, and when he built models.
He is a smart man 😉

Hey great review! Have you tried their miniature series 363? Would love to see a comparison review from you 🙂
Not yet! I'll look at adding some to the collection and posting a review :)
Thanks! I'll probably try some of these out. My brush bucket is overflowing because they only stay nice for a few months.
Definitely do it mate, you won't look back. I was sick of the amount of dead brushes I had.

Interesting stuff mate! I'm a huge fan of these brushes but I might have to check out Warbasrs brushes, just to see if there is much difference 🤔
Wish I could get the series 33s but you cannot get them in the US.
You can purchase them in the US 🤩

I did find a few places in the US that said they could get these brushes ... I'll have a look again!
Ive used rosemary and co brushes for years
They're superb 👌

Ahh really?! That bloody sucks 😕 I'd like to believe there would be a European country that sells the Rosemary brushes ... 🤔
Unfortunately 33 isn’t allowed to be shipped to U.S
I'm sure I could see a few US hobby stores that sold them when I google it?
@@paintingpanzers when I clicked your link first thing that popped is they’re unable to order them because some material it uses is illegal
@@Tank-Killer08 I googled and found a few websites. Could you try this? www.michtoy.com/item-RAC-33SH-2-0-Pointed_Pure_Kolinsky_Sable_Size_2%200.html
Can I get them on amazon?
I'm not sure mate, I'd say so! 😉
They aren't shipping to the US 🙄
Ah damn! Im sure I found a company that sold them within the US 🤔
