    My pdp compact 5 inch slide came in last week and I just got back from the range today. Ive noticed the sights on the VP9 feels higher than the sights on the PDP. The trigger on the PDP feels it has less distance pull than the VP9. The VP9's grip is smooth being less aggressive and PDP's grip is aggressive but to where its about to enough to make the shooter feel locked in. Both are great! VP9 will be my range pistol & the PDP will now be my everyday carry.

    I have both guns and both are great. Yes, Walther should have included multiple mounting plates in the box, but from time of order to the door it took approximately 12 days...so, not to long of a wait. Out of the box my PDP trigger pulled at 3 lbs. 8 oz. almost every pull on my Lyman trigger gauge and the VP9 was about 4 lbs. 12 oz. both triggers are very nice but I have to give it to the PDP. Ergos are amazing on both guns and both are great shooting guns. You really can't go wrong with either pistol but when it's all said and done I'll take the PDP, just feels a little better in my hands, better trigger and a hundred or more dollars cheaper. It's all really personal preference, I recommend holding and if you can shooting both pistols, you won't be disappointed with either of them.

    Walther makes the best striker fired guns in my opinion. Call me nostalgic, but I like HK’s hammer fired guns over their VP series even though HK hammer fired triggers in most cases leaves a lot to be desired. I have all the major brands in striker fired handguns and the ppq/pdp is cream of the crop.

    I have a PDP Compact on order. For me personally, the vp9 series was kind of a letdown. I had an early vp9 that came out of battery very easily, the trigger had a lot of creep before the break, and it also felt more cheaply made then my beloved P30 LEM. Mac has videos that bring the reliability of the vp9 into question. I ended up selling it, and I do not miss it. It was the only H&K I've ever owned that I was disappointed with

    This just in: Walther now has a PDP-F in 3.5". That might make a difference and may give another nod to the Walther over the VP9SK. Lastly, just to throw a wrench into the works, the Sig X-Macro with 17rds is smaller and more concealable than either of these.

    The PDP Compact is the same exact size as a full-sized VP9. 4” barrels and 5.4” height, and 15-17 round capacity. I think that would have been more apples to apples comparison, but that being said I would love to see Walther release a PDP subcompact and HK add an optics ready VP9sk (not counting on it though).
    If I’m being really honest, I would kill for HK to make a P365 competitor. I feel like somebody is working on something that competes head on with it in the micro compact category.

    The SK isn't exactly a "svelte" pistol, but it's definitely slimmer and shorter than the PDPc. I carry mine with a flush-fit mag base and can just barely get a 4-finger grip on it. But yeah - please HK, offer a SK OR!!

  • @maximusjoseppi5904
    @maximusjoseppi5904 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The biggest problem with the sk is it's lacking 2-3 rounds for every magazine it takes, in true hk fashion. The flush fit should hold 12 rounds, pinky extension 13-14, "13 round" mag should be 15-16.
    Ets makes a 12 rounds flush fit magazine for it. No excuse for a cheap ass magazine company being able to fix hk's screw up.
    There's no videos on the ets 12 round mags for the sk, you should make one and let us know if it sucks.

      @@awokeone7997 I had the same experience as you did. I enjoyed my CZ p10c but found I was more consistent with the vp9.

      @@oliverallen5324 honestly I put the P10f slide on the p10c frame and it's the best of both worlds. I took a class with it and love it. Shoot better, smooth and very accurate but I am running the Holosun 509t with chpws plate.

    Pdp needs to shrink. It’s to big for cc. For me at least.

    Everybody talks about triggers, which is hilarious , because in a defensive situation you wont notice shit. Everybody talks like they are professional shooters. Fact is you can have the best trigger in the world but if you dont train, youll still shoot like shit.
