I have been in the background secretly watching your channel. Since I’m not a cichlid guy myself I didn’t subscribe. But your tanks are awesome so here I am.
I love all your tanks man. You inspire me. I'm setting up a 180gallon in 3 weeks. I'm copying your sump on the 300 and I would even buy one of your backgrounds.
@@Jetblink619 This is the first video of yours I’ve seen and I think it looks great! If you’ve seen my channel I had a fish room for a bit, but I’ve sold it off and now am working towards a “gallery” type of fish room for aquascaping
@@MileHiFreshwater thanks! I’m actually thinking about finishing off this basement and doing a fish gallery as well. If I go that route, it will be a handful of large tanks.
I agree, that would make a really nice front Tosa tank. That said however, I’ve been down the front Tosa road before and not sure I would want to go back to them just due to lack of interest really. Anything is possible, we’ll see
That 90 gallon planted looks so good with the wide lip on the stand!!! Great job bro it looks amazing Seriously.... Cool fish room, my advice is go big do a isle with tanks on both sides and expand the heck outta of it!!! Kick the breeding up and start getting fry growing out ... I contemplated doing more tanks bigger fishroom and I don't regret it at all wish I would of gone bigger !!!
Thanks! Problem I’m having is this fish room is costing me a small fortune to run , have to assume it’s all the heaters running. Heating the whole basement isnt much of an option, and it seems to sit around 64 degrees. So we will see what happens going forward. Sadly, I must admit.....I’m not enjoying a fish room as much as I thought I would.....
@@Jetblink619 My light bill is $275-$350 a month..... 42 aquariums about half or more are heater run others room Temp and mostly air driven filters. I get it though it's definitely expensive!!!!
@@thefishylife6823 yeaaaahhhh that is a fraction of what my electric bill is to say the least! Between these 15 tanks down here....basically constantly heating to maintain a temp 12 degrees higher than the air temp down here, and the two big tanks upstairs, and normal life use....it’s nuts.
Thanks! I have a video or two on the backgrounds. I am building a 600 gallon tank right now that may have a 3D background on it and I’ll make a more in depth vid on it.
Most of them are 200. Occasionally I’ll throw in my 100 micron socks to highly polish the water if we are going to have company over or something like that.
You are a man after my own heart. When I grow up I want a fishroom like yours. That room is absolutely epic.
Thank you, always building on and improving it

All of your background loooks awesome!
Thanks!
The 3d backgrounds that you made are better looking than the ones you can buy online. I wish I could be that artistic. Good job.
Thanks so much! They are very time consuming and labor intensive for sure.
I agree, he could start a business on making those.
The stand and canopy for 90 gallon is amazing. Just subscribed so I can learn more
@@mikecovey4498 thank you sir, I build all my stands/canopies, etc. Thanks for the sub, hope you enjoy my journey.

You should definitely set one of those tanks up with a variety of tanganyikan cichlids.

Awesome tanks. What black substrate are you using in those tanks?
Thank you. The black sand is Black Diamond Blasting sand, purchased from Tractor Supply Company.
Fantastic fishroom!, I just started expanding mine, I’m up to 9 aquariums but only 7 are set up at the moment. I subbed today 4-19-21👍🏻
Awesome, best of luck with your fish room and thank you!!
Awesome tank...make one tank dedicated to L46 pleco ❤️👍
Frontosa, Madagascar cichlids, and venustus for the big tank
Are the tanks running auto water change? Looks clean
Manual water changes for now
Cool fish room,do you know where I can find some OB turkis,or albino turkis,I’m in Florida
My albino Turks came from Imperial tropicals
@@Jetblink619 ok cool, thanks for the info
Wow. That’s literally a pet store in his house. Lol.
Bro how did you make your own 3d background? Love you videos I would love to know how you do that! I’m a diy myself

Do you have a video of making your 3d backgrounds?
Yes, there are two videos on my channel.
Can I order a background from you ? So awesome !
Thank you. Unfortunately I am not building them right now
What kind of material is the background ?
Maybe do a geophagus tank that's planted
Could be a possibility, my LFS has beautiful albino or white ones I think they are geophagus or whatever they are called that look just like them....
What's the black with orange stripe at 5:40?
Sulfur head peacock- Aulonocara Maylandi
Nice fish room tour so many tanks, anyone has a similar sized fish room?
how many microns your filter socks?
Most of them are 200.
Occasionally I’ll throw in my 100 micron socks to highly polish the water if we are going to have company over or something like that.
Where do u get.ur black gravel?
It is Black Diamond blasting sand. I get it from Tractor Supply Company.
Are you willing to make backgrounds for others?
