OMG! The shoe holder hanging over the door! Brilliant. "...bad version of Dean." ROTFL! "They go at It so much." Great Randy one liners. His wild discus are gorgeous! That's my favorite discus coloration.
I would add to Rosario's Gularis advice by saying that you could also just move the parents, since you are water incubating anyway. I know Rosario well, and while I won't pretend to be able to second guess him, I would bet that, if asked, he would say "Yes, you could also just move the parents". The only reason that I add this is that if you are not going to put the eggs on peat or treat them with methylene blue, they are (IMHO) better left untouched. The other thing to remember with Gularis is to breed them young. They get huge and live a long time, but I have not had luck breeding large ones. I believe that they are only fertile while they are young. Cheers, Chris
Grate video bob and I love the podcast Randy has done a grate job and it’s nice to see what’s in his fish room on video keep up the grate work supporting from the uk
I need to get one of the auto feeders before they are gone. Time to visit the store and talk to Robert. Interesting use of a shoe hanger on the entry door. Really enjoying the quality of the recent videos.
Nice set-up. Maybe try the proven discus pair in a white or blue painted tank. Rarely see discus breeders using black tanks for a few reasons. Beautiful fish though, good job.
No skiddish fish in my room. People say not to tap on aquariums, but that is what I do every single time before giving food to anyfish in the rack. I make noise and do other things in the same room, and they never get scared or look for cover.
Amazing content! 🙌 Blue Gularis are my holy grail fish, amazing to see Randy working with them. I would absolutely love to get my hands on some... how!?!?
I've commented previously about how bad y'alls black Moscow guppies are...! Here in Sarasota Florida, I got some from a going outta business breeder a few years back and they are full body black...! The females are very black as well, no silver chests...! All black...! I've recently had to start culling fairly heavily after the first 2.5 years of breeding them...! However, in this process, I have started noticing some blue & green tints, so I'm on my way to making some blues & green Moscow's... In a few years, hopefully, I will have those breeding true... Another good one Bob-a-rino...! Keep up your awesomeness and go enjoy some nature today...!
Chilatherina sp. Unggalum is fasciata like but most likely a new species closely related to the Awalim location. You could reference them as Chilatherina cf Fasciata 'Unggalum' as well
Tell randy to try painting the discus tanks white. I watch a couple of videos and they said white is the color because the parents are darker the outside and the fry will find the darkest thing in the tank first.
I have an interesting question so im doing a 16ft long x 8ft wide x 8 ft high whats the best way to utilize that space. Want to do 4 large betta racks and some guppy breeding and possibly two discus community tanks
I have bred and raised 1000's of discus fry. In my experience, 29 gallons tanks are better breeding tanks. All my tanks are painted light blue on bottom, back and both sides. The lighter colors makes the parents easier to find for the fry.
Does Cory know...? I thought that was a deal killer...! Pineapple pizza...?!? Oh know...! Is Randy still employed...? Hahaha, good stuff...! Keep it up...!
Hey I watch a video on this fish room on aquarium coop and there was 2 big black angel fish with a blue sheen. Do you know they're names cand seem to find out. I know it begins with p lol. Great video btw
Personally can't imagine cory's in anything other than sand. I can just hear them going ... ouch, ouch, ouch sifting thru rocks; my barbels are killing me! That said, it won't be the first time I was wrong about aquarium stuff.
Great video. I couldn’t eat a pizza called white knight because “white Knight” was the command that Jim Jones gave to let the people of Jonestown know to start drinking the Kool aid.
Hope you all enjoy the video. If you want to see more shenanigans consider becoming a member: th-cam.com/channels/OklmdygnHFAsmRZHbafAUw.htmljoin

“I’m just a bad version of dean” lmao that’s funny
I’ve been listening to the aquarist podcast for awhile. I always like seeing Randy’s fish room. Helps me appreciate his podcast updates a bit more.
Great interview of Randy, who is always a pleasure to listen to. Nice summary of how Rosario LaCorte breeds Blue Gularis.
Watching you two nerding out to fish makes me happy

"a bad version of Dean" - sounds intriguing.

Thumbnail = 10/10 , ultra flattering for Randy lmao
I think Randy needs to repaing the discuss breeding tanks with a ligher color instead of black.
Great video! That pizza is a Steenfott fail, Randy how dare you! LOL
I should let you see the original video for that pizza part. It’s the best hahahahaha

Wowza, what kind of shelving units are those?! They look HEFTY!
Rosario's book is a great read 👍

Nice variety of fish! Hey Bob, do you know where to get those rocks that hold potted plants? I saw them in Cory's videos too. I'd love to get a few.
We will have them available at www.aquariumcoop.com/ soon
Dude nice to see your into discus 👍🐠

Nice job boys
Great fish room
Yes it was
Bob your really didnt watch his previous fish room tour 😅😅😅😅👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
What tanks and/or how many have pea puffers in them?
I think there were only two pea puffers in two different tanks
Paint the sides white with discus
Esp if you breeding
The babies looks for the parents to eat of their slime coats
well i think its better to keep discus with light background or even white background if your purpose is breeding.
Does he have a yt channel? And does he sell fish online? I saw his angels and fell in love with them!
He he has a podcast channel: th-cam.com/channels/tD70GnzLlRyRmCeCNPTBFQ.html however he does not ship
that crowded angel tank seems a little cruel to keep them so packed in. can they breathe? can they all get food? that reminds me of puppy mills sad
Hey brother! New sub here! Great video 👍
How Big is the tank
The White Knight😂🤣😂🤣😂
I'm sure the coop is sick of me by now. 3 orders in the last couple weeks.
Never!
How many different stickers do you have....I'm going to have to collect them all ;) I'm up to 4.....

The sides are painted too dark for discus fry. Plus it makes your discus darker.
Does randy have a Chanel?
