Well, I live in the same hometown as Joey and eric, my band actually opened for them on the fighting the world warm up. You've got a few things kind of confused though when it comes to Ross the Boss. And Scott. Yes sadly to say Scott did hang himself but Ross the Boss was incredibly instrumental to man o' war being what they are today they still play all those great songs that he wrote with Joey and Eric and he was the only one at the time man or started to have albums to his credit with the dictators. Love the guys all of them sad what happened with Scott maybe you should check a little farther into Carl Logan and see why he's no longer with the band? Other bands play manowar kills mountains battle hymns the original manowar song those were all with Ross the Boss those first what six or seven albums that are so instrumental to anybody knowing manowar that I sold timers do brought us to the temple. God bless

According to Ross the Boss/Scott Columbus(can't remember which) he got fired because he criticized the direction Joey was taking the band. HE felt the band was experimenting to much. With Joey wanting to include opera on the album

Joey DeMaio "fired" Ross the Boss. According to a 2008 interview with the guitarist, "Joey felt that Manowar would be better without me"
He was replaced by David Shankle, Thats in there Bio, But I'm more inclined to think what you just said because the band was originated on that direction Opera and the like if you will. Hey Great to hear from you John and thanks again for viewing.

@@theguitartemplepriest I could be wrong. After all he has allegedly sacked a few members over the years. But he is know to be a dictator according to rumors. But the direction they have gone in,lately is just tragic. But at the same time amusing to watch.
I mean how can Joey sit there with a straight face and talk about false metal. When they do Opera. Or when they put Dixieland on the record. Neither has anything to do with metal. But the die hard fans, seem to eat up anything he says. Personally I'm cherry picking songs from them. They've become to uneven. Not big fan of concept album either
