Eddie was always smiling, not because he was a happy person, but because when he was playing guitar he was happy. Which was very often,nearly always. Playing made him happy.
Everything Eddie did during and after (diver down)became happy. Almost everything. Amazing as great as Michael Angelo is as all around player. His released albums (not all) you can hear pin drop in comment section.
I always felt MAB was ultimately overshadowed by his dual guitar gimmick, when in fact he is an incredible melodic and inventive rock guitarist. If he had hooked up and grown with a major group I think he would be far more widely recognized. My two cents is that he would have been perfect for UFO, but that gig was well and truly Vinnie's after Schenker.
Amazing, had it all, all the best riffs, shredding on vocal themes, replicated keyboard solos, and solos galore all while keeping to the original solo melody highlights.
It’s just this guys nature but much of this was too fast tempo to have the right feel. Super skilled and lots of fun to watch but was missing much of the groove. I’m sure he hears that a lot and doesn’t give a damn.
