I can confirm that the Wrangler fender liners (AXI231019) DO fit the base camp. Their coverage isn't perfect but no trimming was needed and it's well worth the cost imho.
There are three battery placement options on the basecamp. The two screw holes on either side of the frame rails in front of the transmission cover line up to one of the battery trays so you can have a better forward bias. I found that to be the best placement for it if you have batteries small enough to fit.
Another great video, Hailey 👌 I'm personally more into TRX4s but I could be tempted with this. Looks killer value. Also, what knife are you using to open the boxes? It's 😍
Looks really cool 😎 definitely looking at getting into crawling might have to get one of these I wanna get something decent that I can upgrade over time and not crazy expensive....
Happy Thanksgiving RC Girl! I really like your positive reviews as they are clean and well created! I'm in a 1/24 groove at the moment but have alway admired 1/10, the RedCat Gen8 Scout for some reason. And the Traxxas UDR. Speaking of 1/24, have you seen 24Yep on YT? Would you ever consider opening with: "What's Up Girls?" :o) It would be hilarious! IMHO anyway. Bruce
I'd really like to build this up from the Builder's kit (my son like the building process even more than driving). However, it would cost $640+ just to match the specs on the RTR!!!
Redcat has been having some great sale prices. Also Redcat regular prices are lower than Axial. Having owned Axial and Redcat . I find Redcat is better quality than Axial. The downside is the aftermarket support is nowhere near as good as Axial. Nice looking Base camp
I wish they would finally stop calling these RTR, as either the battery or the charger is included. It should be ARTR. The argument that most people own a charger and batteries does not apply, you always have new people coming to the hobby. Influencers like yourself should know better.
So why does this cheaper truck get the stand alone receiver, while my more expensive Gladiator got the piece of crap 2 in 1? I can't do a darn thing with it without buying a new receiver which kind of makes me mad.
My eye is on the FMS Toyota Land Cruiser right now. No portals but you get metal frame rails, 2 spd trans, metal shocks, working lights and inner fenders for $300
Order the Base Camp here for $319.99: alnk.to/gKR5Fzi
if I pre-order will you give me ? 😶

Do you think the early bronco inner fenders would have better coverage, being that they're wider? Even if a bit of trimming is involved?
Really looking forward to your update video with the 3D printed light buckets!
Great video, good to see ya back at it.
Thanks it's good to be back. Definitely needed the break from social media, but it's good to be creating again. 😊
@@RCGirl Holidays are important too
Great review/overview. Looking for my first 1/10 and this was great info.
Great video has always Very nice look for this new version of the base camp. I love the light kit
I absolutely live mine.
It is fantastic right out of box!
I’m going to get one. Funny enough, my 2015 Tacoma at home looks almost like the model except for the gear on the bed 😂
Looks good 👌🏼🤠
Do you know when its available in Europe?
Thanks for the cool review! I love your channel and vibes! :)
I made a parts bin one of these. And it fits a 4092 motor. May even fit the fusion 8ight
Thanks for braving the incoming storm, that was windy az!
Tires are really huge and they are the thing which makes this rig ultra capable imo

Awesome review and breakdown. Thanks for posting!
Thanks!

The dig function's one awesome addition to an rc rig that enables narrower turning radius...
I like the white color. Decent refresh
Stellar looking truck, especially for that price point.
Used the same slt3 for my k10 with dig. Cool vid! 👍

It doesn't look like it has a very good turning radius, or it that just video? Its a heck of a good looking truck
Great video as always Haley!
🤙🏼🤙🏼
Nice. Where did you get the dragon light controller ?
Mahalo, good review i didn't know this exists

That was a great review - Thanks.
Thanks for tuning in!
Great review. Name of the song near the end, please?
The shocks look like 100mm. Is that what they are? Great looking truck and good review Haley!
Yeah you're right they are 100mm. Just measured!
@ awesome, thank you!
U to raw on the rc world respect
Jeez that’s a nice build
Where did you get that lighted antenna from?
I picked up the step side Chevy base camp because I didn’t like the original base camp. Would’ve got this one if it was out.
Negatives would be higher CG due to portals
Esta brutal el coche y las luces buen video 😊
Redcat Ascent or this? im looking for something for an entry level truck.
This
😍😍😍😍
nice Video 👍👍
What size tires come on them?
1.9" ID, 4.6" OD.
Overlandish
The price drop comes from it being made in China instead of Taiwan. Didn’t stop me from buying one
nice
WOw. your videos... almost make it lool scale... your camera man with that pogocam is doing a great job.. we used to shoot our cars like that..

Do you think it’s because the red cat is already pretty good and doesn’t need a ton of aftermarket parts to make it better like the axial vehicles?
@@BG12222 nope, the statement that RedCat is better than Axial... not true

ARTR would be a roller without electronics. The definition of RTR has been the same for decades. This truck is RTR.
Bro who cares chill out. Most things don’t come with batteries lol
Welcome.to the hobby stop crying
Это китайская модель автомобиля!?
The major downside to this base camp is the electronics like always
They were able to lower the price because they used to be made in Taiwan and now they are made in China.
Yeah now it’s made in China. 😢It was made in Taiwan. That’s why it’s cheaper!
Actually items made in Taiwan are usually better quality
If it was us made it’d be $1000
@@WeirdBeard617 No the new refresh is made now in China. Not Taiwan like the OG. Its on the box now confirmed by Harley Designs
God your gorgeous
That trick whip is way overpriced come on now what a waste of money

That 2 in 1 is programmable with the card from a hobbywing 1080 see rc review video of your rc
