I say it all the time… it’s amazing how side mirrors, handles & wipers just set off any RC. Just adds that last bit of scale realism. What a great looking improvement from the previous Basecamp… like Axial actually gave it 100% effort this time round!
Just when you thought the crawler releases slowed down, Axial gives us a refresh of this. Your video on the V1 was a top favorite of mine. Going through the trails with your family is absolute fun in this hobby. Please continue making this kind on content.
I have the original basecamp , one of the best things about the plain body is I didn’t worry about dragging it across the rocks . After putting the fusion in it , these are really impressive
It has everything from the mirrors to the metal links that my original honcho did not have and I had to buy lots of upgrades. The crazy thing is its the same price as the honcho was back in 2013. Great video!
Thanks for these videos as I picked up a pink SCX24 Base Camp for my granddaughter's birthday this afternoon, set it up this evening (throttle limit 50%) and had a blast driving it through the paths around the living room, down the hallway to the BR, left turn beyond visual range, reverse and turn around with my 10-year old cat following it, and occasionally getting out of the way. I think I'll have to make that hour errand again tomorrow to get a blue or white one for me! Just ordered two sets of the clearance sale shocks ($9.99 each) from Horizon Hobbies. If the reissued Ertl 1/24 scale International Scout II body fits... I bought a first year (1971) Scout II in 1996 and drove it 2600 miles home to Alaska, a 25-year old truck that's Rusted In Peace among alders at the city airport. Thanks again!
Gray with orange topographical patterns…as a geography degree owner, I NEED IT! It matches my Lead Foot Gray Ford F-150 with a black/orange rooftop tent!
I’m loving this new BaseCamp. I’m getting one. I just ordered the FMS FCX10 Toyota LandCruiser. This will pair nicely with it. If the little truck was a 1/18 I’d buy it too but I don’t really like the 1/24 scale.
The mini Basecamp needs the mods back on it and then some. Maybe you could trick it out with all the aftermarket support the scx24 has for some future content
I thought the SR315 receiver was the only one that was compatible with DSMR and SLT( the SLT2 and 3 and Tactic) According to the website, the SR515 is DSMR/DSM2 only. Apparently, this has changed? It's great to get the SR515 here.
Is it just me or did the panhard look a little different? I think this is a great refresh for axial! Looks nice, upgrades where you want them, body looks nice, killer job!
Thanks for actually running the Base Camp V2 and not just setting it on fire. Glad Axial switched to separate Rx and ESC. Also like the new sliders. Good moves. This is probably the best deal on an introductory RTR 1/10 crawler. I really like my V1 Base Camp (swapped all the electronics) and the V2 looks even better.
Great video thanks! The original was way overpriced. I have many crawlers and RC but I only have one axial and that’s the original SCX 24 so this might be my first axle 1/10
I know it's preference, but I honestly dislike portal axles. They aren't "realistic" for most crawlers. Straight axles having to be a mod is a deal breaker for this kit. SCX10II is the superior kit purely because of the straight axles in my book.

And reduced the price
Thanks to the chinese competition😅

This might be my first Axial 😊
It has great geometry and room for motor options.

@@charlesbranch4120 Awesome! Enjoy!
Wow BaseCamp V2 is a surprisingly good value with all those extra accessories and the DSMR 515 Rx!
Great review your my go to guy for any RC true professional!

Well done Axial what a great improvement !
I’m loving this new BaseCamp.

Awesome truck for the money and beautiful spot!
Looks great! You talked about the shocks, but didn’t mention the length. They look 100mm to me. Love the gray with the orange and black decals.

The new-ish scx24 to go with the new 1/10 is awesome. Nothing better than a mini-me RC!
Love this crawler!
Love the new look and color!
Nicely upgraded basecamp, but it would have been better if there was a led light, that's a shame. Thank you for the great review👍
That looks killer. I don't do any crawling but want it just for the looks.
Same!
Exactly how I got into crawling actually. 😅

Looks great 😊
Do you know when they will be available in Europe?
Cool RC car,😃 great offroad adventure, awesome video❗✨👍
I'm not a huge fan of crawlers but I'm feeling this one !
Nice looking body nice looking truck.

This is sick I was originally gunna get the regular one but now this also can I use the 2s from the Mojave grom
Why axial always make the wheels and tires a little too big for scale look?
It looks like a budget version of the FMS FCX10 LC80.
The fms is a better deal. Got my k5 on ali for 300$
Plz make a video on buying all the r1 upgrades for the b7
Are the tires 1.9 or 2.2 size?
Very nice the small on is cool
🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
Bring back the yeti
Axial 🔥👏
$319 in the US… £399 ($517) UK. That’s a tough ask.
What does everyone think this or redcat gen 8 v2 ?
Nice
"Snacks" 😉😉 lol
Cheaper you say?
**cries in Canadian CAD**
Yeah ~500 euro in finland...

its 2024 and we get an rc with some light stickers...
I like it 😊 but not a fan of the rack
200 for the truck 100 for rx lol
This thing was way too expensive when it first came out
