Shocking Lufthansa Business Class Flight to Dubai - Dubai Arrival Procedures

- After a spectacular Lufthansa B747-8 flight in First Class, it turned out that my Lufthansa A330 flight from Frankfurt to Dubai would be a shocking contrast to my previous one.
There was no hot food, no pillows, no blankets and very limited drinks on this flight. It didn’t feel like this was a Lufthansa flight at all. Find out what happened during the flight!
I also give a comprehensive review of the Senator Lounge in Frankfurt Airport during my transit. The good news is the high-quality food and the showers in the lounge are coming back.

The rules during COVID are changing fast, this vlog is my personal experience of flying and arriving Dubai. Check official sources for arrival procedures. It is good to see food, pillow and blanket are gradually returned in the flights and airline lounge. During COVID, the service level on flights can be different and dictated by the destination country authority.

Dear Sam, I'm a LH flight attendant, too. This 2020 really put a heavy test on our shoulders! I've been home for three months. Now that I'm flying again, I'm soo surprised about the graitful passengers. They are just so happy that we are flying again. So thankfull, even if they just get to receive a Water bottle. I swear, it melts my heart ❤️ thank you, for sharing your experience. I think it's good for people to know, that flying isn't that bad anyways! Let's help the Aviation get back on top. Correct. I was in the US for 5 months during COVID and finally able to take my first Int'l flights from LA to Dubai via Frankfurt on Lufthansa. During the pandemic, I have restricted myself in taking flights unless it is necessary.

As bad as it is for all involved in the tourism industry, people should not holiday via air this year. Some countries have several tens of thousands of tourists flow in right now, during a pandemic! Discipline is not a dirty word. Good on Sam for reinforcing this important message.

CUCUMBER , some airlines don’t require you to wear a mask if you’re in business class; the reasoning being that customers are more spaced out and partially isolated in their pods. So could be good motivation to upgrade
@@flavoursofsound Yeah, with all the restrictions worldwide though, the best option is simply to wait and travel only if you have to. Having a vacation aboard has many downsides at the moment. If you're travelling for business, then either someone is paying your travel costs and then the decision is out of your hand, or you're travelling on your own expense, and then it's worth weighting the pros and cons of an upgrade.
I've been watching this video till the end asking myself what would be "shocking" about this flight.. and I didn't find any thing shocking, in fact I did so at the complete opposite.

It was a shock when you compare to the previous Lufthansa flight. No pillow, no blanket, no service just a box on the seat.
He was tired as u heard him, the over 30 mins delay, sleeping with no blanket or pillow. You can see this video was more of let me get home.

How can this be a fake title? If you don't find it shocking, it's your own opinions. For someone who has never experienced, seen or heard of a flight like this during COVID-19 may find it shocking.

This last year I was lucky enough to retain my job, my pre-Covid activity was:
5 return trips/month;
Full cabins (90% of the time)
24-36 hrs stopovers.
Now I fly once a months, exceptionally twice;
My cabins are rarely more than 40% full, sometimes totally empty;
Since there are so many less flights, I get to stay up to a week at destination.
I’ve lost around 20% of my salary.
The onboard service is hugely reduced, but is seen growing back, lately, alongside cabin occupation ratios.
We have decommissioned our largest and oldest aircrafts, namely the -380s -340s and 777-200s, also.
Yup Covid19 affected a lot of people and hope for Best and soon recovery for all of us..
Here in Canada Airline pilots some of them too lost jobs and are truck drivers how crazy is that. It is what it is I guess

Well I can see that even though there are regulations restricting meal services, Lufthansa is trying their best to make lives better for passangers, unlike some airlines that take the restriction to their advantage and just stop serving everything once and for all.
Haha :D They are far away from trying their best. It is getting better, but especially in the beginning, it had been ridiculous. And if you are talking FC or HON, then you will be even more disappointed.
I think what I've learnt end of the day is, although we see a drop in service, there could have been other reasons than direct cost cutting (which is also one of the reason) such as authority rules and restrictions, supplier problem etc

It’s a disgrace so e airlines are using Covid as an excuse with everyone wearing the PPE there is no excuse to have a full service on board meals can be hot but unopened in the old style foil etc my Friend flew Emirates business class Dubai to Manchester and said the service was appalling so much so she took her own food on the return
Lufthansa is doing no good service job at all - that started some years ago when they invented the "cold sandwich - a slice of bread with cheese or sausage"... And from now on, they will charge passengers for that, as well as water and drinks.
If I pay for that, I use RyanAir. They never stopped inflight service, and still the ticket price is far below expensive airlines with zero service concepts in difficult times.
Dubai's airport is truly one of a kind! It's like one big hotel!! It's just magnificent! Loved it!
Take stock of your life and be grateful for what you have. It’s sad that I can’t fly and that travel restrictions and a plague have trapped me in my country, but I’m healthy, I’m alive, and I have a roof over my head. It could be MUCH worse, so before you complain that your first class experience isn’t as opulent as you’re used to, please keep things in proper perspective.

This is giving me a tip about going to Dubai for the first time! My flight is on June 2021 and I can't wait! Im flying Lufthansa and Im nervous, because ive never been on Lufthansa, only on Emirates. And I hope ill get there safely, because of the pandemic.

Emirates economy isn’t actually that bad, it’s much better than etihad economy which is awful, really cramped.

PRO TIP: Always save the packaged snacks that the airlines give you if you don't eat them to save some $$$ when traveling. The food would be thrown out anyways by the flight attendants so why not??
I do this ALL the time pre-covid!! Its an easy way to prevent waste and save you money
but if they gave you all those snacks and a hot meal.... I'd be sold on Lufthansa haha

Both the experience in the flight and the BGM are excellent
Just got back from Dubai last week and I must say my economy flight from Paris to Dubai on Air France ( my first time on this airline) was better than expected. They provided blankets, pillows, and headset on the chairs which was nice. About an hour in flight they served
a boxed meal and prepackaged
breakfast which was actually tasty. We had to have our covid-19 test results in hand "before" we left the US because France required it. Air travel isn't fun as stated but doable.
Took 4 flights since this covid madness started. I used Air Astana and KLM. Great service as before. In Europe flights look/feel pretty normal even though the amount of flights is not like pre-COVID times yet. The cues on the ground were not as big anymore though ;) Glad you're back in the air!
Last time I was there at the Frankfurt airport I was being shouted by one of the screening officers. He was screaming at me for putting all my stuff for x ray early. Lol I saw a empty tray bro. So be nice to the travellers . I find customer service here is very bad

I had to cancel my flight with Emirates that was business class to japan in March. These videos make me sad & happy at the same time. Frankly spoken, I fly a lot ... and I can say that Lufthansa has the best and highest COVID protection measures worldwide.
There are so many airlines who don't even care if passengers wear a mask or not ...
Lufthansa protects the crews and takes good care of their passengers.
Service has changed, true. But that's how it is in 2020. If you compare with other airlines, Lufthansa's service is still great!

You can ask the crew while on the ground, there is a fair chance if you tell them your intention, your love of aviation passion. I did that, I didn't know the pilot ahead of time.
