I still can't believe that there are people who can't distinguish an AI voice from a human voice. I, myself, may have, at least, four hours of human contact per day and i still can discern the inhumane tone of a AI generated voice.
5:30 there's evidence that Spotify is in fact already doing this. Many auto generated playlists of extremely generic and repetitive ambient and electronic tracks, by no name artists, artificially boosted to people's front pages. Not to mention Meta's announcement of AI influencers which is just an outright admission
I thought that the Gman voice used in the mod for the Half Life 2 interlude was AI, was told by RadHaz live chat that I was wrong and told me I was spreading misinformation, but I'm still not sure about the voice being a real person's voice, I still have my doubts. It just did not sound right.
Lowkey sad, with the same budget and resources invested in AI we could've had the lunar base they've been promising since the 80s or we could've actually solved some of our hardware problems, or at least we couldve developed better forms of AI that are actually beneficial
