Just started building my 918 that I bought years ago and found your vids. I also bought the HD upgrade at the time and am very pleased its a part of your build. I agree with the chrome issue, as I've already removed the chrome from my kit. I also came to the same conclusion as you regarding the decision to not replace the front vents and the seat belt buckles. That's where similarities end tho as your skill level far exceeds mine. Thanks for posting. Oh yeah, and your comment about the rear hatch grid. I've been looking for alternatives and haven't found one yet. I want mine in black. If you came across something you think will work please reply.
Hi: Thanks for the comments! Reminds me I need to get back to this kit, I was distracted by another kit and trying to come up with a solution for the grid. Verlinden used to make a mesh grid which I think will work. It's slightly out of scale, but definitely an improvement over the decal. Problem is, it's like a plastic fabric so you have to glue it to shape it and I think it will be difficult. I was hoping to find some photo-etch mesh which would be much easier to shape (I think), but so far, any that I have found are just too far out of scale... I just personally think that decal is awful!
@@splashbakermodelbuilding che bello mi fa molto piacere! In questo mondo ( il modellismo e purtroppo anche in altri settori) si vedono poche donne! Complimenti per tutti i tuoi lavori.

aren't all Porsche's engines hand-made and casted from aluminum with some titanium parts in some?
...non vorrei fare una gaffe...ma sei una donna?
Ciao: Mi stai chiedendo se sono una donna? Sì, lo sono.

@@lucaabys90 Grazie molte! Apprezzo davvero le tue parole gentili. Mio padre ha costruito modelli e mi ha mostrato come. Lo trovo molto divertente.
