Stallone was a big star before this picture, but this one put him over the top into the Super Star category. It was a major hit for him and now he was suddenly more than just Rocky.
"Sir, do we get to win this time" lol, So many iconic scenes, the musical score is kick ass, cast is amazing, I can't decide which movie is better part 1 or 2 its so close,
Nothing is over, nothing. You just don't turn it off.....it wasn't my war!....you asked me, didn't ask you. Then I did what I had to do to win, but somebody wouldn't let us win. Then I come out to this world, see all these maggots at the airport. Protesting me, spitting.... calling me baby killer and all kinds of vile crap. Who are they to protest me, huh? Who are they? Unless they have been me and been there and know what the hell they're telling about.....for you!!!! For me civilian life is nothing, back there we had a code of honour...you watch me back I watch yours...over here there's nothing.
No one mentions about it but in Part 2 the only masterpiece is the soundtrack which was evolution of first blood music. J.Goldsmith made it so powerful. Shame the rest ( script, directing, staging ) is today's meme quality. But First Blood is a masterpiece in all aspects.
made me believe that rambo was a real character during the veitnam war..seeing those weapon and chopper when i visit the war remnants museum recently in ho chi minh city veitnam...rambo was my father favorite action movie..
The M-16 shot off about 500 rounds or a bit more in the scene when Rambo used this military automatic gun to destroy the computers in the command post, but to simulate the bullet hits and the knockout of the computers, if I were a pyrotechnician expert - there would need to be about 1,000 squibs---to make the simulated bullet hits with the M-16 even more realistic on camera and to the viewing audience. My two bits.
And that scary Rambo knife that Rambo used to almost kill Murdoch, I think Rambo took a big risk in the near kill of Murdoch (likely with the help of the stunt coordinator of his) by not using a simulated plastic knife - but a real knife that can almost pierce through bone. With that, the Rambo knife is the weapon that can intimidate anyone Rambo wants to scare.
Sorry to say Battle, the uniforms are actually correct for the time (1985) for the Vietnamese Republican Army. They’re pristine, and probably wouldn’t be readily available for a small camp outpost near the border, but they are accurate.
Good old action movies when suffering realistic conditions were part of the game. Not like today with tons of the green screen and so called “tough” acting😬
And did he also had to operate a military attack chopper known for the Vietnam War - a Huey helicopter? How about when he had to deal with a Soviet fully-armed attack chopper? But the extras acting as POW prisoners got a chance to see plenty of fireworks at the prison camp as the Huey sprayed machine gun fire and rockets at the camp---destroying guard huts and guard soldiers, and watchtowers, just to land the chopper near the prison hut as John Rambo came out, fired more fireworks with an M-16 to kill off more guards and finally rescued the POWs?
I grew up in the 80s and loved this film, when men looked like men, fought for their country and patriotism was celebrated unlike today
This movie kicks serious ass !! It was number 2 in 1985 at the box office
Rambo Fisrt Blood 2 was one of the best high grossing films of his era. The movie broke various international box office records.
It was outdone by Back to the future. But I enjoyed both films.
@@sergs1963 Did i say an opposite something about it?

The Tarzan Of Rambo Movies. Love The Rambo Movies.
Watching this legendary film on the big screen was amazing
When Rambo destroys the prisoner of war camp the theatre was literally shaking
RAMBO 4EVA
4:53 Stallone's awkward sense of humor obviously strongly influenced his characters as Rambo and Rocky
In my opinion, the best movie of Rambo
Me too
The whole world agrees
I was only 16 when it came to the video store, so I made my father get it for me. I had to watch it, period.

I would like to know what happened to the James Cameron script that he was writing or how much of his idea ended up in the finished movie.
Family time watching nostalgic

Still don't understand why the Vietnamese are wearing Japanese uniforms.
They probably thought nobody would notice, or didn't care if anyone would notice.
that was funny 😂

I like to think the other 2 people who the computer dug up was sam fisher and big boss
