@@tabathaogost4982 Gosh, can you imagine the extra ripples involved in selling across international borders? There are already regulations governing interstate commerce here in the US, which took time through the past century, on into this one once internet commerce took over; there are many additional concerns when it comes to doing business in another country (from any country, you know?) especially for a small trial start-up that he's proposing. He's sooo sooo busy already, he'd have to hire on again once regulations were met. Just some of the implications. If this venture works off? He may indeed offer shipping across borders. Hang in there and be patient with this lovely man.
What a beautiful, organic way to start offering goods. Our world would be a much different (and, I believe, much better) place if everything was as intentional,, quality, and slow as this new venture. Congratulations. This is a beautiful thing.
You are probably one of the few You Tubers that is selling what they are actually making, and not just putting your name on something. Thank you for sharing your art with us!
As a craftsperson myself, I love how you are teaching and sharing with others the value of handcrafted material (especially that which is made with high quality material!). I KNOW your product will sell! And I hope that everyone who fails to snag something remembers that there are hundreds of craftspersons producing similar, beautiful product who need your love and support.
Rajiv I visited Black Creek Pioneer Village in the summer with my granddaughter. I told the lady who spins yarn that I watch your channel and she remembers working with you and said you were such a kind and wonderful soul. She said hello❤. Congratulations on your new online store. You work hard at everything you put your mind too and you have an excellence about you that is inspiring. Bless you Rajiv!
"You wanna piece of me? You wanna piece?! Ok, well know you can get one." LOL, you are hilarious. And I cannot wait to buy your candles and soap and gift to my friends this year. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy your holiday
So special! I’m a Silhouette artist, so from one artist to another…. I’m proud of you and also impressed with your restraint, in that, these pieces will never be mass produced by you. My hope for you is that making these things stays a joy and life giving practice for you.
I have only recently started watching your videos. The care and attention that you give to objects in your home has had a transformational effect on me, and I'm truly grateful.
All I can say is don’t ever stop being you ! You are the person I strive to be. I’ll never be on your level, but you have inspired me so much over the years. Good luck on this new venture.
Very smart using your own website instead of other online markets that charge an arm and a leg. It’ll sold out in no time because people know of your dedication and love for everything you do ❤
Congratulations Rajiv! I hope this venture remains a gift for you as well, and does not become a burden to produce. My long-running negotiation with myself has been to not ruin my love to create by trying to make an income from it. Some ability to recupe my expenses is fair, but not becoming a slave to the system. I am very happy for you!
I agree! I am a total garden nerd. Could easily produce soo many plants to sell but agraid that the day I start selling it is going to feel like a job. At one point we were living in Asia and I went home early on my own to just garden. My dream of garden all day long! But it got quite Norings fast!!! Like a job from 8 to 5. Noo to long for it and not make it your job is the secret but to get some money back for materials etc can be great I think! Hope Rajiv think so too! 👌
When my Great Grandma was a little girl it was her job to assist her older sister with making the candles- they made enough candles for the entire year . She loved this job and put so much pride her work . She loved packaging the candles in the candle box for safe keeping- a very important job . I miss hearing her stories ❤ I hope to get my hands on one of your hand crafted items . She taught me how to put LOVE into everything I make.
As an Indian girl growing up - I didn’t know how to put into words/ideas the fascination and romanticization of the little things in my life. There wasn’t an importance on living simple & slow. There’s a beauty to living off the land and taking time to have an appreciation of craftsmanship. I moved to midcoast Maine to be myself & surrounded by myself with slow living and beauty. Thank you Rajiv for being your authentic self - you are a beacon of hope in the hustle & bustle of life.
Isn’t beeswax beautiful? I have a small soap-sized circle I use for waxing thread or yarn and I love the feel of it, the essence of it. I always think of how it comes from bees! Thank you bees. ❤️ So sad I’m in Canada. I would love one of your soaps. All the best to you, Rajiv. Your candles are beautiful.
I am so happy for you. Thanks for the tip about the candles and clay pots. When I saw the beautiful soap wrapping, I thought to myself, "I would save that paper and add to my junk journal ephemera." I just look for unique papers to use when I make them for myself. With your incredible calligraphy and drawing, it would be nice to offer a small bundle printed on vintage looking paper. Themes: plants, flowers, pots, words, letters, etc.
That is a natural extension for Rajiv I think as he has such a good eye for vintage ware and it would tap into his philosophy of using the beautiful, the pre loved and the practical.
Rajiv, a few suggestions for possible expansion of the online store (which is ridiculous I know, since technically you haven't launched yet, but nonetheless.... ) I'm thinking maybe linen kitchen towels or ones printed with some of your favorite recipes. And if you had a way to replicate your gorgeous cutting board.... Also, we all love the things in your home. What if you hand selected vintage and antique items, lace curtains, bedding, frames and artwork, etc. to sell on there? Items like soap dishes and ironstone, vases, jars....I don't know if you have the time, BUT I think it would be awesome to have the old stuff in the store right along with the new. Just my thoughts. Congratulations 👏🎉 I feel like we've all been expecting this lol
I love the fact that Rajiv makes everything by hand , that means it has His Energy and Love in it ...hard to reproduce that which is why it will be so special , wished I lived in USA but alas we are down in New Zealand
Congratulations! By the time your video reached me you were already sold out. I’m genuinely happy for you, who have always so generously shared yourself with us. ❤

I love beeswax candles! I have lived in houses dating back to the 1200s so because of them sometimes being drafty, even with windows closed, I learned to use a glass hurricane to protect the candle and for safety. For larger candle holders I like the large Colonial Williamsburg mouth blown ones. They are heavier including a heavier bottom rim. I'll prefer candle light over modern LED lighting for ambience any day. Wishing you much success with your shop.
I watch your videos from Italy with passion, I really appreciated the story of your last visit to Florence and I'm very sorry I can't have "a piece of you", but I hope you get satisfaction from this new adventure of yours!
I hope everyone will also buy from other crafts people for Christmas as well. There are amazing knitters, potters, woodworkers, soap makers, etc everywhere. One year I bought some homemade Lemonade with Lavender. Possibly the most delicious drink I’ve ever had.
FINALLY!!! I asked to buy your soap like, 5-6 years ago on Instagram and you were like NOPE 🤣🤣🤣 This is so exciting - best of luck in this endeavor! I plan to be first in line on Sunday!!

Everything about you and whatever you produce has that touch of perfection that people crave. Design, material and care par excellence. You will absolutely sell it all out and should start to think about how you enlarge your process and material. Many people have the means to purchase quality products and have been doing so for a long time. They know that real beeswax candles burn differently and are worth it if you can afford it. We all love what you do and admire so much about your choices. Much good luck, and be assured that you will absolutely sell out.
You are an artist and renaissance man in so many ways, and it will be a privilege and an honor to own "a piece of you" to relish and savor... just like you did in its making! Great slow simmering venture... like a fantastic meal cooked on low until it is sublime...💕✌🏽
Rajiv Surendra - you inspire so many people through the fruits of your labor. You say you just like looking at the beeswax and feeling it……..I also love looking at my fabrics and feeling them. On a recent visit to Japan I bought some silks which I’ve left sitting on my work bench so I can run my hand across them and admire them every day. I also bought some Calligraphy pens and paper; all influenced by you Rajiv.
Congratulations and Happy Thanksgiving! (Tip, I’ve been making soaps for many decades) and if you drill a small hole in one end and tie a thin hemp rope, it makes it easier to dry and looks natural.
Good luck with your new endeavour Rajiv. I have spent the last two days rendering wax as I am a beekeeper (hobby) and will be making candles from tomorrow, I will try dipping as yours looks wonderful. I live in the UK so will not be able to sample yours. I also do pottery (hobby) and will be making some containers for candles. Having seen your pots however I may use some of my small terracotta flower pots to put wax in to make candles as gifts. Have a great thanksgiving and stay warm. xx
I love how you continue your beautiful work and enjoy your creations daily - that is a huge inspiration for me! I look forwards to seeing your site. Thank you, Rajiv!
YAY, Rajiv! So happy for you to launch this new adventure!! Your integrity and creativity are truly inspirational and I'm certain that your new online shop will be met with as much enthusiasm and love as you invest in the items you make. Much love and gratitude to you from California!
This is such a labor of love and respect for your art. I am mesmerized by the process you go through to offer such a personal gift from you to us as we regift to others absolutely beautiful and presented so eloquently if more of the world were like you it would be such a beautiful peaceful place. blessings during this incredible time of year
Congratulations Rajiv, on this joyful endeavour! On a personal note as a fellow artist and creative, thank you for helping people in the world understand that what we make with our HANDS becomes an extension of our souls and deserves to be honoured. Every success to you--I am applauding you from the Canadian Rockies. (...and cheering loudly also!)

Good luck to you! I love that you are very clear and specific with your mission and intentions. I hope the sale works out well. I live in the UK so will not be able to sample yours. I also do pottery (hobby) and will be making some containers for candles. Having seen your pots however I may use some of my small terracotta flower pots to put wax in to make candles as gifts. Have a great thanksgiving and stay warm. xx
