I’ve always enjoyed watching Jeana. She is so pure and so kind and through all these years she has never changed. I work at a shelter near the Reading terminal market and I think I’ve crossed paths with this woman that you helped. She is sweet. Sometimes a smile or having someone to talk to is enough. They get passed by hundreds of people on the streets each day who forget that they are human too. So thanks for inspiring others to be kind.
Some people who are homeless really just need someone to listen. There's a lady in my neighbourhood that I believed was homeless and I spoke to her, she had a very long story as to why she was as in the state she was in and I listened to her, shd kept repeating her story and how her landlord had wronged her. I spoke to her for like 45 minutes and she eventually stopped repeating everything and spoke clearly. Now when I see her I smile and she seems to be doing much better now. Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is listen.

Jeana , you did the right thing. The woman is most likely Homeless and suffering with dementia or another type of mental illness. The security guards at the courthouse are unfortunately very cold people who cannot recognize the womans unintentional cry out for help. Try to find her again and get her full name. Do some research. You just may find family out there searching for their lost relative. I have reconnected a few similar people with family who rescued them from the streets. Search for " Jennie Barela " here on TH-cam and see the story of one example. I am in LA now and would love the opportunity to reach out to Jesse to talk about Homelessness and how TH-camrs can make a real difference to those in need . Small things always help! I stopped a man (possibly homeless) and talked to him about life for a bit and he ended up needing a loving hug, no matter how dirty or smelly or the color of his skin.. I will always spread love ❤️

My god..you showed us all a good lesson. We as a nation are lost to our heart and soul. Case in point. I had been shot twice in Afghanistan..they flew me to Walter Reed ..though I was an officer I had lost my wife a few months earlier, been made to return to Afghanistan ., here I was 54 yrs old. Sick, alone..and in pain. One hell of a pity party. I had never had a family..orphan from N. Ireland and formerly homeless as a teen. The next day an orderly came into my room..she asked would I like a sponge bath..what with all the tubes and 2 IV’s in me no easy task. Still had dried blood and dirt on my body. As she washed me I just broke down...she hugged me and as she washed me I suddenly experienced what Christ must have felt when Mary anointed him..when the women fussed over him before his death. I felt such pure love and grace in those moments. Then an hour later ..the President of the US walked in to award me a Purple Heart and Silver Star. We sat and talked..he was amazed a soldier of my age was still in Afghanistan. He cared too. To care about one another can save us! Thanks dear heart.

I have a story too. I think its nice you helped that lady. I think its nice I have a story. My friend was the nicest girl ever she was coming back from a long trip at night in a her car in the middle of an road road and she saw a hitchhiker walking at night needing a ride. She was the kindest girl ever and she picked the hitch hiker he said he want to go to the next closest gas station. They sat in the car, it was a bit awkward at first, but she asked him questions as in what do you do and life experiences. She got rid of the awkwardness so fast because she is naturally gifted with talking to people, after half an hour they reach the gas station around 23:00 night time. She bought him food and asked are you staying here or are you going continuously heading my direction (She was going home after a long day). Since the my friend bought the hitchhiker food and talked nicely together eating sitting at night and she was kind giving him advice to his life troubled experiences. She then said she is going to leave but if he needs help she can help him and gave him her number and then left. Next morning she received a call from the phones in the streets you pay 50 cents for. He said it's the hitchhiker you picked up from last night. He said, I met you, you were nice, I was planning to stab you and steal your car, I'm homeless. You bought me food and you are such a kind person I didn't want to do it. I couldn't take your life because you were so kind. Next time you see a hitchhiker person in the street do not pick them up. I was planning on killing you before you picked me up. Don't pick a hitchhiker ever again and there was an awkward silence. And He hung up the phone… The street phones in new-york they are kind of untraceable. once you use them, there will be millions of people walking past them It's nice you help that lady Jeana. Be-careful Jeana is all I wanna say. BE-CAREFUL, BE VERY CAREFUL. Jesse and other people like him exist now but they are not JESSE! BE CAREFUL. THIS IS NOT A SCARE STORY TO YOU. JUST BE CAREFUL. Its a scary world sometimes. You just met them 2 seconds. You've known jesse for 10 years+. There's a difference. A similar thing happened to me but so during last during summer their would be this homeless guy around his 70’s and he would always stay under a huge tree across my house because it was hot and he had a wheelchair so one day, I made him 4 sandwiches and 3 water bottles so he can eats some and have enough for later then I offered to push him and so I did but he had no destination, so I just pushed him up to a park where their are a few trees and tables so he can take a break.
So kind and I’m really appreciative for people like you Jeana! I also wanna say that although your problem wasn’t necessarily as pressing as this women’s, it’s still important so don’t feel bad about feeling depressed about something going on. Glad to see helping this woman helped you feel better!

Great story jeana, Please tell more stories. Anytime I’m in Chicago I always help anyone in need of help cause I can’t just leave them there. Friends have even told me why I give so much and I always tell them that I like to help people. Helping in any sort of way makes me feel like a better person and I just love helping people out.

I love this! Last week I went to NYC with a big group of friends and we got pizza and over orders so I said to the group would you mind if we give the pizza to someone who needs it. It was literally the best feeling ever to see the smile on this strangers face 😊

I saw a homeless guy outside of the store which it was December and it was really cold outside so I went into the store and got the guy 2 blankets. And the feeling was so great.
I had a moment like that last year around Christmas. I was in the field on the job and this homeless couple asked for a hot dog. I unthinkingly led them into the hot dog shop and got them both hot dogs. They were so grateful and shook my hand. It was just a couple of hot dogs, but it made their day.

Since the my friend bought the hitchhiker food and talked nicely together eating sitting at night and she was kind giving him advice to his life troubled experiences. She then said she is going to leave but if he needs help she can help him and gave him her number and then left.
Next morning she received a call from the phones in the streets you pay 50 cents for. He said it's the hitchhiker you picked up from last night. He said, I met you, you were nice, I was planning to stab you and steal your car, I'm homeless. You bought me food and you are such a kind person I didn't want to do it. I couldn't take your life because you were so kind. Next time you see a hitchhiker person in the street do not pick them up. I was planning on killing you before you picked me up. Don't pick a hitchhiker ever again and there was an awkward silence. And He hung up the phone… The street phones in new-york they are kind of untraceable. once you use them, there will be millions of people walking past them

A similar thing happened to me but so during last during summer their would be this homeless guy around his 70’s and he would always stay under a huge tree across my house because it was hot and he had a wheelchair so one day, I made him 4 sandwiches and 3 water bottles so he can eats some and have enough for later then I offered to push him and so I did but he had no destination, so I just pushed him up to a park where their are a few trees and tables so he can take a break.
time is extremely valuable. Dont waste it and when you give it to someone it makes a big difference in their life.

Great story jeana, Please tell more stories. Anytime I’m in Chicago I always help anyone in need of help cause I can’t just leave them there. Friends have even told me why I give so much and I always tell them that I like to help people. Helping in any sort of way makes me feel like a better person and I just love helping people out.

I love this! Last week I went to NYC with a big group of friends and we got pizza and over orders so I said to the group would you mind if we give the pizza to someone who needs it. It was literally the best feeling ever to see the smile on this strangers face 😊

I saw a homeless guy outside of the store which it was December and it was really cold outside so I went into the store and got the guy 2 blankets. And the feeling was so great.
I had a moment like that last year around Christmas. I was in the field on the job and this homeless couple asked for a hot dog. I unthinkingly led them into the hot dog shop and got them both hot dogs. They were so grateful and shook my hand. It was just a couple of hot dogs, but it made their day.
I hope this goes trending world wide. You inspired me. And I'm sure countless others.
