Apologies for the slurring and poor quality, haven’t slept in a week
Get some rest! Also, good stuff on this. Now there's a cheap solution to fix a botched delid job. By the way, something for you to test when you get the 5800X3D is to test if the performance with the 6900 XT edges out 3090. I know prior to the 5800X3D, the win goes to 3090, and I rock a 3090 myself with no plans of changing, but I have finally FINALLY found content from 1 channel that actually tested warzone competitive settings with 5800X3D + 6900 XTXH and the results were quite astonishing (and I'm not referring to the highs but the sustained FPS and 1% lows). I think the 3D v-cache + RDNA 2 + SAM really worked up some McD's Big Mac special sauce.
Nice freaken job bro!!!
Dude, your content is top quality, no worries. Aesthetics aren't as important lol.
Poor Celeron, first they took its hyperthreading so it couldn't be a usable pentium G7400 (2c/4t) then jufes took its capacitors.
Dude this is incredible! The fact that your willing to think outside the box and try whatever is awesome!
My new favourite term "harvesting capacitors"
love your content, i learn so much i built a 12900k with a 3090 and a 5200 mhz 64gb kit love it so far. i had some issues with the ai over clock, it would blue screen every so often so i turned it off. i think it was pushing passed 5.5ghz and the temps was causing the crash. might tune it to a safe 5.2 or 5.3 yet i dont know shit about over clocking...
I don't know how this awesome channel popped up in my TH-cam feed. But I am grateful it did. You now have a new sub and thank you for the great information. :)
Unique content, no fluff. My money was on "fail" -- I'm impressed 👍
*edit -- but how does she fare post-post? Any impact on stability, voltage, etc?
Wow!!! Nice skills!!!
For the algos. Killing it bro
holy fuck nice job man
Wow man! Good job and balls of steel. I’d be shitting my pants about fine soldering those small transistors 😅
That tiny soldering with that behemoth soldering iron tho lol.
Or you're simple
Purchase an LCR meter
Measure the value of the capacitor outside the processor.
Then buy the capacitors
In size
smd 0402
from farnell
The capacitors cost a few cents
On the processor these capacitors are coupling capacitors
About four years agoI purchased some of X5690 processors LGA1366 (X58)
Sold as non-workers 15 USD
Cheap and I fixed them
To perform an overclock on them.
I soldered some capacitors of 10UF
And the processors came back to life
And I did the best of the processors
Overclock to 4.6G
On the 6 cores
Can’t believe you didn’t even check the Cellys SP rating could of been a goodgod bin sp9000
Great attempt, I did this with my 7740X. I took a component from dead 3770K and put it on 7740X.
Heart surgeon when
I always enjoy the hardware mod videos. Good stuff
A mate screwed up a delid. He got liquid metal on he's fingers, then touched the gold contacts on the bottom and dissolved them.
Killed his new 9900k. Lesson learned.
Is there something you can do right away to fix it when that happens? I remember seeing a while back a vide with one of Linus' associates and he spilled liquid metal over the laptop motherboard and just wiped it off regularly and it ended up working. I'm also asking asking because I delidded my CPU, bought liquid metal, but a bit worried about using it.
@@Ben-ld1qi I looked into getting it fixed, but couldn't find anyone back then. These days, I have plenty of contacts that might have been able to help.
I've used liquid metal for years with no issues at all. Just make sure you prep the CPU, making sure there are no contacts left bare under the IHS. I coat them with a clear lacquer, that way if the liquid does drip it won't short anything out. Keep your hands spotless and wipe the chip down with isopropyl a lot. The liquid metal takes time to dissolve soft metals, so you have plenty of time if you do spill a bit or make a mess. Use the tiniest amount. It's easy to add a bit more, and a bloody nightmare to take too much away. Watch a few vids from different channels showing the delid for your exact chip. Most will say the same, but they will all have a trick or 2 that will come in handy. Some are soldered, some are just glued.
There are (or were) companies that will do the delid. Last time I looked it was about $35 if you don't fancy it. It's not a lot of money and they take all the risk. Caseking in Europe did a while back and Silicone lottery used to too but I think they closed.
@Blue Flamingo The gold dissolved. There was nothing left but the green PCB substraight.
Top content, can you consider buying an ESR meter to measure the values from the SMD components? The BOM for top SMD layout will provide invaluable support to the enthusiasts.
Love it! Good Job man.
Very nice fix and info Jufes. I think this will be very useful for delid guys 👌🏼
Great to know this is possible. Cheers to success!
Shit i am impressed dufus
Cool. Glad you get to do this.
Cool channel, glad I stumbled on you while searching out various computer stuff lately. Good job using that iron on such little caps.
Well done man!!! Great gob right there ;)
your a brave man!.stuffs so expensive nowadays im scared to upgrade my i9 9900k id probaly drop it on the 3080 on the pull out and they would fight about who put out more heat then neither one would work anymore cause thats my luck
Awesome job!
Wow, impressive sir. Great video!!!!!
I just did this to my 3090 removing thermal paste. It was a little one in the corner, and now I can't find the piece! 🤦 I'm hoping the card isn't borked
man i was nervous watching this, excellent job
Found your channel from GoodOlGamer podcast. Agreen with tech tubers not pushing the edge anymore. This content is great. Haven't seen anyone like TimmyJoe in a long time
Skills.... Clever sod... Such a steady hand, I'd be shaking like an alcky....
9:50 With that second NO, you almost turned into Palpatine lmao
LMAO it sounded so similar
Man this was junk as hell and I love it, great troubleshooting dude! I didn't think it was going to work, amazing content! Subscribed
This was a very hard job you have a patience of a god to put that little thing in there 👍
These are the videos I enjoy watching, give me all that crazy stuff
The GODLY ONE? Aw, Man.
Magnificent video and a nice cheap fix :)
Nice job, just goes to show, where there's will there's a way. Would be interesting to see if swapping out the capacitors on a CPU that died in the wild would kick start it back into life? Future project idea for ya :D
Would be cool buying a delid fail 12900k on ebay for cheap and trying this
Cant believe you got away with it.
Nice job man!
Nice job! That’s awesome
Serves you right.
They are most likely resistors...50 150 and 2000 ohm resistors. I don't know the bottom right loner one though.
i delided my 10900k but im not sure what i fucked up, cant tell if i killed the cpu or the mobo cus some pins looked off but i couldnt confirm it
Damn dude i dont know how you soldered that cap on there!
You've got me so traumatized by the clickbait I thought it was gonna be a gotcha vid
Yeezus that was lucky nice job!
This video made me smile
Buy a heat air soldering station my guy! They are less than 50 bucks amazon very affordable with that frame chasers money!
That soldering iron…..
Well done doctor Jufes
So cool, good job
bro. this video is like nerd ASMR . troubleshooting porn. love it!
Impedance, muppet
Gooooood....
I'm just a simple man. I see a new Frame chasers video and I press like
This guy is crazy
you don't know how long I've been looking for computer channels like yours, straight up tinkering with pc's with no fancy graphics and annoying music. With just a camera filming your shenanigan's lol
help me, it's that with the video I have doubts, I'll send you a photo, I understood what there is 4 resistors of 100? thank you, to the left all blue the same
Im currently building a new pc. I've got the 5950x but can't figure out what GPU to go for. The choice is between the 3080 and 6900xt. What are your thoughts? Exclude the money as a problem, and base it all on performance. Thanks:)
Its all Warzone related too.
This is the way kkkkk nice work
epic!!!
GG’s
WIN!!
60 dollar capacitors tho 🫡😂
Better than 250$ capacitors
Hey brother just needed your opinion I just ordered new parts I can already tell you are probably gonna get on my ass for the cpu but I ordered an i9 12900ks 😅 and the rest of the parts I got are an Asus ROG strix z690 E motherboard with DDR5 Trident Running at 6400 mhz cl32-39-39-102 1.40v, I got the new corsiar h50i LCD cooler, I went with a 1600wt power supply, with two nvme 2 tb, and an corsiar airflow 4000d case is this a good build and I'm gonna run it with an Asus ROG strix 3080 ti I need to know if this is a build youd give a thumbs up too ??
Would deliding a 5950x be worth? I’m just trying to get very juice out of everything I buy lol 😂
BACK FRM DA DEAD
Is the 12900k godbin safe tho????
i killed my 12400f i kill my capasidors can i fix this?
can you answer me plz i love you content , and because of you guys, i experiment a lot, but i love to do it
Yes, you can, but you need high watt solder irons, the cpu dissapates heat real~~well.
new driver came out 512.59 can you make a review if its dog poop or not. i only trust your page for fps results
clapping
how?
Nice regain.
well you cant complain when you chase frames which the avg gamer only needs 60fps to game any AAA, overclocking (ie frame chasing) ur gonna lose, but i enjoy the content is shows overclocking is not ideal for the every day gamer, if ur hardware cant run something its time for a hardware upgrade, overclocking these days dont expect anything over 5 to 10fps not worth the loss
Would anyone be able to help me I’m kind of having trouble with my gaming pc with performance especially in warzone. I’ve got a 5600x b550 ddr4 16gb of 4400 viper, 750w psu and a 6800xt if I’m playing modern warfare multiplayer I’ll get around 230 and a high of 260 fps on 1080p high settings. If I use those settings in warzone I’ll get like 120-140.
Yea I delid my 1st 12900k backwards, Like a dmbazz and shaved all the capacitors right off, so I packed everything back in the box and got a refund from Walmart. It was within the 30day warranty period lmao needless to say my 2nd 12900k delid went by flawlessly. PS: if you see an open box cpu at Walmart don’t buy it!
Not first, but here!!
🧠
U know he just swap the 12600k broken one for a working 12600k lots of cut scenes , 😅
Not first.
Wasn’t first… technically 3rd, or a hopeful 2nd. I’ll try to improve my skills and report back next time on my progress.
4th?
😂😂
First
U fast bro
Absolutely nobody cares
I care douche
@@FrameChasers ok my bad, I was wrong.
@@Gr00t thats what i thought

You make this fun to watch, other PC tech TH-camrs make me yawn 🥱
You cut straight to the point, dumb it down a bit for us and just make it enjoyable!!!
