I hope Fenix sees this comment...because once again I'm purchasing a sim add-on because of your videos, one I didn't expect I would want since FBW has and continues to do such a great job on the A32n. Another amazing video with an amazing product. Thanks for sharing your knowledge 320SimPilot!
you kept saying "you're contribution has been small" but I had absolutely 0 intention to buy this and because/thanks to you it's now a must-buy. Sending you the best from France.
I am a retired PPL & College Lecturer and I think your tutorials are brilliant and your teaching fantastic. Thank you very much. By the way I have bought the Fenix and trying to resolve some joystick calibration issues.
As a boeing only guy.. I learned a lot about the airbus and its differences in this 1 video. I plan on investing in the 320 soon so I will follow your channel. I decided it's finally time to broaden my horizons and learn the airbus since they fly so many routes throughout the world. Thanks from the usa!
I've just purchased the Airbus Captains Pack and I'm about to buy the Fenix. Thought I'd watch a vid to gain an understanding as to what to expect. I'm so glad I did. This was informative, relaxed and very clear. You've demystified this aircraft. Within a week I'll be flying. Can't' wait. Thanks again.
Just a minor thing I spotted: Takeoff performance calculation was done with PACKS off selected and during the takeoff PACKS were on. Great and very helpful video.
If you hadn't said you were a pilot in real life, I would have been able to tell you were one anyway. The small insights you gave about certain aspects of the aircraft like the importance of not turning on the wipers dry because they could damage the expensive windows made such a difference and really reinforces everything you say. I really really enjoyed watching this video.
Being a sim for many years but having a short time to enjoy my passion always leaves me with doubts about whether I'm following all the steps for taking off and landing. Your videos are my always-check guidance to ensure I'm not missing anything! Thanks a lot!
Absolutely brilliant. I have just returned to FS after many years and the Fenix A320 pack is at the top of my list. Sadly I have rejoined at the launch of FS2024 and now have the wait for compatibility from Fenix, but it will be well worth the wait. Whilst I'm waiting I will replay your A320 series for familiarization. Thank you.
Outstanding! I've been a long time PMDG 737 pilot and was waiting for the block 2 update to make the leap over to the A320. Your videos are absolutely first class and are making the transition very straight forward indeed. Thanks for all your efforts and for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
I’m truly exhausted just watching you do your magic. It all seems so second nature for you. Thank you so much for this detailed yet easy to follow tutorial. And although you do say this is for Sim purposes only, I felt that it was at the level of actual real pilot training standards. Blown away. And subscribed.
Wow, you are such an amazing pilot/instructor. You made this so easy to understand for a simmer! One of the best tutorials on here! Can't wait to check on the rest of the series and the B787 tutorials
I bought the FENIX A320 based on the ubiquitous comments on its high fidelity. Being a garden-variety GA pilot, my flight sim goal is ATP-level sim fidelity, so as ii see you walk through all the flight parameters, esp setting up the MCDU to fully use the Airbus flight computers, all i can say is wow. Your ATP perspective, expertise on this type, and pleasant delivery are all greatly appreciated. Thank you making this video. I owe you a dinner if you make it to KSEA.👍
Thank you so much. Im new to msfs, and fenix. Im truly OCD though, so I have been taking in as much knowledge as possible the past few weeks. This video was so informative. Saved me from continuing my search for quality instruction.
I think I prefer the way the FlyByWire A320 calculates the V-speeds, fuel, CG etc inside the FMC with a couple of clicks rather than having to manually transfer figures from the flypad, but I can see those who want to roleplay the whole thing properly would find it a lot more satisfying doing it more realistically. And TBH, realism is why people buy the Fenix in the first place.
This is why I love flight simming, is the community of great people that donate there time and knowledge of some pretty great products. Keep it up, Im a fan!
Excellent. I'm used to flying the FBW, and the Fenix introduced a few new things that I was a bit confused about a bit. This was clear and concise, and it didn't just better explain "why" to do certain things, but gave a few pointers and introduced some stuff I was missing!
I find it super satisfying to watch something like this tutorial and know most of it but getting little tricks here and there. Like I totally didn't knew you could press AIRPORT in the Flightplan to jump down instead of using arrows. What a time safer and nerves lol Edit: Knowing most of it from your past videos i might add :D
I have so much to learn with all the new tech, I used to enjoy drawing up my crew flight plans and charts, I feel like a kid learning aviation all over again.
I'm a fairly new simmer who just graduated from Xbox to PC. Thanks so much for these wonderful tutorials, I'm slowly but surely getting the hang of it. Master alarms are still going off, but at much reduced frequency. Thanks again !
They did such an amazing job in every aspect. Not only does it handle very very nice, they really put effort into every detail to make it fun and comfortable to use. Best example are the sunshields which are finally solving the problem with the overly dynamic lighting in MSFS but yet do not destroy the immersion. The only thing that I noticed could need a bit more love is the EFB on external devices. At the moment it's not quite optimized to be run on a physical tablet but I feel very confident they will do it.
Amazing video, no messing about, a lot of useful information on not so easy to explain topic and STELLAR work on commenting all those actions during take-off! Simply brilliant, thank you for doing these videos!
The a320NX project is such a great product and its free, but those who wonder the difference is like Jardesign a320 vs FF a320. If you have extra cash and don't know what to spend it on go ahead you will love this plane, but if you're trying to chose between PMDG 737 and this defiantly go for the PMDG since there's a great free a320 for MSFS that will defiantly fill you Airbus needs.
Biggest issue for me so far with the Fenika is the FPS. Once they’ve tidied that up a bit more I’ll be flying it more. The 737 is a solid 50-60 all the time whereas the Fenix is 30 fps. The detail difference is obvious but not worth sacrificing 50% performance for a minor graphical improvement. Though the technical side of the aircraft and the accuracy to the real aircraft is second to none.
Pretty nice video to understand all the fenix a320 features. And you actually have an understanding accent which is nice for French people like me watching your videos ! Continue like that !
This was amazing! I just purchased the Fenix today and I wanted to upgrade from the CRJ which came with a huge manual in which I did not mind reading. I really love to understand the plane opposed to just taking off... as exciting as it seems. I feel more confident that this Fenix did not come with a manual, well... to be fair maybe a very high-level overview... " here is the plane... have fun" I was quite taken by this and worried I would not be as successful enjoying my flight. I much appreciate your time and effort and some great take-aways on the FMC "DIFSRIP". This was a great way to remember and reference. I am thrilled to find this video. I am not one to buy a new plane when its released, I enjoyed the research and your reviews as it helped me make a more informed decision. Your time and effort are greatly appreciated and though I have quite a bit to learn, I feel more confident to take to the skies with the pause button :) Have a happy and blessed New Year and I appreciate everything you do.
320 Sim Pilot, as I already watched so many of your video’s, you are an amazing man !! For all what you’ve done, still do and will do in the future for us. Thank you !!!
Amazing clear and helpful showcase and processes - helps us older ex ppl pilots feel like we almost lived our dreams of piloting a commercial jet. Thanks 🙏 I will get the Fenix a320 when I can afford it for sure.
Really helpful, thanks. I must admit that I feel almost disloyal to the FBW team, because I have been with their A320 Neo right from the start, and theyve been doing a fantastic job. However, there's no arguing that this plane is a big step up from where they are at the moment. I'll make a donation to FBW to salve my conscience, but this is going to be my first choice airliner for the future.
Same..i bought the Fenix and have zero regrets. The FBW is fantastic but the Fenix is a case of you get what you pay for. It's extremely immersive, the CFM's are a symphony and it's such a joy to fly. Having the CRJ, JF 146 and the PMDG 737 as well, I'd be lying if i said I'd go back to the FBW, I've actually deleted it. It's amazing for people on a budget but I've spent too much on my PC and addons to not get the best we currently have in the payware sector. Immersion is everything to me
Many Congratulations! The best video I've seen to persuade me to move to a Fenix version after almost 1 and a half years of flying a fbw ; the a320nx unfortunately after su9 seems, at least foir me, to cause too many issues taking the pleasure out of flying an A320. Brilliant work on your part to take us through the various procedures/stages with great clarity & sensibile pace.
Fantastic guide for a beginner sim airline pilot like me. Very easy to understand how things work and what to do. Hope you continue this flight with approach and landing so that we have a complete tutorial of the whole flight. Thank you very much for the effort you have put into this video!
brilliant comprehensive tutorial for an airliners dummy like me. I learned so much with it. Several content creators go way to fast for real beginners. Great to get the intakes from a real pilot. I'm really interested with this A320 from Fenix. Looks like a stunning aircraft. What do you use for your pilot camera view. Track IR? Thanks for everything you share with the sim aviation community. Greetings from windy Wellington NZWN, New Zealand
Thanks for the professional guides your videos are! It's like one is in a flight school for real. As for the fenix A320, it's the best flight sim product ever, and worth every cent. I have not flown PMDG or FS LABS for weeks. Fenix makes them boring.
I've been a PMDG and Boeing fan for years. I learned how to do airliner sims in the 777 in p3d. Eventually moving into the 737. Had zero interest in airbus. Only recently got my free upgrade PMDG 737 in msfs. Flew two flights no problems. No idea why I decided to watch tutorials for the fly by wire airbus. Had no idea how streamlined and easy the process was. I think any new airliner Sim pilot should start with airbus because the concepts are done so fool proof. I still love my 737 but I think I'm going to purchase this Fenix aircraft.
Thank you so much for this guide/tutorial. It enabled me to hop into the A320 and take it for a spin in no time even without much experience in the FBW A32NX.
Thank you for making this video, as a Boeing guy it helps me a lot learning this Airbus. While I followed every step, there are two differences I don't get in my start up procedure. 1. Nosewheel Steering Disconnected is not showing. 2. When I turn the knob to ignition, it doesn't switch to the Engine and I don't see any pressure and consequently can't start the engines. No idea where I'm missing the step, I'm pulling my hair out! I tried this two nights in a row! Anything you could suggest would make me a happy man.
what a great tutorial and so much information. I was wondering if there is a good checklist to download somewhere with all these handling? Keep on going the good work!👏
Absolutely perfect documentation 👍👏 thx a lot. I follow a lot of other great TH-camr, but I really like your style. Clear, fast, directly, full understandable. Always good for repeat and fresh up the checklists, special when you flight a lot of other plans in msfs and DCS and forget some procedures after a long time🙈 The Fenix Team maked an amazing job ! I love this A320 sim and together with the PMDG 737 (of cause not forget the awesome Flybywire Team too !) this summer will be amazing for flightsimmer 🤩. Thank you for your great stuff who helps us in this sim world. Happy flinging ✈️
Brilliant tutorial best one out there! I'm a new new beginner in the a320 as I'm new to this sim and never flown an aircraft before but this has helped me massive! It was very daunting to know how to use everything and know what they are but you go through it and make it very easy for new simmers like myself top guy!
Excellent explanation, tried to follow through, everything went perfectly right up until the wheels left the runway; but I will try again. Hopefully the second half of the trip will be in a following video, I had to wing it to LHR, everyone survived but they wanted their money back.
Just purchased, and spent a few hours last night with your video, taking it slow to try to understand. What an amazing video you have provided. I am now comfortable getting her in the air, will you be releasing a cruise, descent and landing video soon? Thank you so much for this! I know there are other resources but nothing compares to how in depth this is.
This helped so much! I literally purchased the Fenix last night and my AP would not engage. I think I see what I did wrong. I will try it. Also, my FSUIPC will not work when running the Fenix. UPDATE: I tried again, and everything worked as intended. Also, need to watch again to make sure I get the SimBrief import correct. Had to uninstall FSUIPC, clear all remnants of the software, and did a fresh install. FSUIPC working normally again. However, now I have to re do the profiles for all my other aircraft. Only thing I cannot get to work on my Logitech Throttle Quadrants (yes, I have 2), is the reverse thrust, so difficult to set it up.
Great video. Got the Fenix and am coming to grips with it thanks to your video and one or two others who know what they are talking about. Many thanks.
Glad you are all enjoying it. I'm really unhappy with it so far. First edition I downloaded was quite broken. Some of the keyboard buttons wouldn't work at all. The throttle was not functioning. Couldn't get it taxing . Updated today. Not happy with preset views. There is no dropdown for the ai options and cant turn off autopilot atc. Fully loaded flight info disappeared ater take off and my flaps wouldn't come up and decrease throttle sets the reverse thrusts even though the settings are correct. Throttle controls aren't moving in sync. I understand some error on my part is possible. I'm a 4000 hour sim pilot and do not have these issues on other planes. The interface just isn't working properly for me. And the frame rate sucks. I can run pmdg dc6 and 737 just swell. Flybywire a320n with fs2crew works pretty good. I've even derated graphics here. Hope it gets better in other updates. Im am so frustrated I'm prob just hopping in the concorde the chill out and wait a month to see if things work better. Love your work! Cheers!
Obviously you are an A320 master, but your ability to tame the wild beast of MSFS cameras is truly breathtaking. I actually don’t know how you get those beautiful panning exterior shots, or how you press a button on the overhead panel and check the central column at the same time.
Another wonderful tutorial. I always very much look forward to watching your expert guidance when the notification of a new upload arrives. Best out there in my opinion without a doubt. Much appreciated.
Excellent thank you exactly what I needed--have not flown an Airbus for awhile because waiting for Fenix so need to get back into it! Will definitely keep this video as a reference even though I have watched most of your past videos on the various Airbus's!
what I need is not a beginner friendly guide. I want to know how the pilots do it in detail :) I want a comprehensive MCDU guide, directs, holds, offsets, manuel waypoints, step climbs, ACARS. different types of approaches, crosswind take offs and landings etc. all sorts of normal and abnormal situations but all in detail and I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me. but still, great video :)
@@lukethomas.125 I think the PMDG 737 will come to Xbox eventually when some compatibility issues are sorted but you are probably looking at a few months at least.
Excellent intro to the Fenix 320, gonna watch my way through your other Fenix 320 vids now and then buy it as it looks really good, for you pilots and us wanna-bee's Lol! Thank you sir, for your time teaching us.
Thanks for this great video! I am wondering if you would you be able to share your Simbrief airframe G-FENX set up in the aircraft editor? Thanks in advance!
I might be a bit late with this comment, but I just want to say thank you for these fantastic tutorials. I've been enjoying your Fenix videos lately. Helps me better understand the Airbus philosophy. I've actually been flying the Fenix A320 more often lately, thanks to you. Just wondering, are you using any tools to mange your views around the cockpit?
Last night I bought the Fenix A320 and used this guide for the first flight and it was flawless. Well done! What would be the next guide to follow for flight, approach and landing?
This is truly next lvl simulation with your great knowledge sharing of the airbus, We really appreciate the quality content you deliver. Keep working bro nd good luck with your flights

Flown since FS2004 never bought a paid aircraft, I will now because of A320simpilot
I dont think i will be purchasing the add-on but it has helped me alot with the airbus in general.
its a study level airliner for 70 bucks...its not that serious. pmdgs boeing are around the same price too.

Thank you SO much for this Skipper! Exactly what I needed. Loved yesterdays stream!
Great video as usual, love the extra insight from your real life experience, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent explanation, tried to follow through, everything went perfectly right up until the wheels left the runway; but I will try again. Hopefully the second half of the trip will be in a following video, I had to wing it to LHR, everyone survived but they wanted their money back.
Thank you for the tutorials, much appreciated. Taking a lot of notes ahead of trying out the plane for myself!
I thought an hour...that's a long time, maybe watch the first section. Before I know it, it's all over. Thank you!
That's great to hear, thank you!
You're super quick and accurate with the mouse on the mcdu keys, I bet you play fps games too
Great video. Thank you. I bought the Fenix addon based on your recommendation, and its been very helpful studying for the A320/321!
You're doing great job for sim community, also I've bought the aircraft thanks to your pre-release streams, thank you
Really appreciate your videos. Very informative and I am getting much more enjoyment out of the FENIX Bus.
This Video is Bang on what I was looking for, really appreciate you sharing your Knowledge on this Thank you
This helped so much!
OMG Did I learn a lot from this video, sooo many things that I didn't even realize that I misunderstood now are clear. Thank you Thank you.
Thank you so much for this detailed video of the A320 Fenix.
Great video. Got the Fenix and am coming to grips with it thanks to your video and one or two others who know what they are talking about. Many thanks.
Next video rest of the flight including approach and landing at EGLL please! Best Airbus teacher on You tube!!!
I think he uses an Xbox controller to smoothly pan the camera axes.
Perfect as always, just what I needed. thank you!
This has been incredibly helpful & easy to follow. Thank you from the bottom of my FMS.
Another wonderful tutorial. I always very much look forward to watching your expert guidance when the notification of a new upload arrives. Best out there in my opinion without a doubt. Much appreciated.
Excellent video, thanks for putting in all of the time this would have taken!
Great video. Could you hurry up and do the landing video as im currently circling Gatwick with 40mins of reserve fuel!!! :) EDIT: too late
Amazing video. I love the MCDU.
@320 Sim Pilot do you know when or if the Fenix A320-200 shall come to Xbox Series X?
@@lukethomas.125 It won't come to Xbox as it relies on external add-ons.
@@tanberjan Okay. And what about the PMDG?
@@lukethomas.125 I think the PMDG 737 will come to Xbox eventually when some compatibility issues are sorted but you are probably looking at a few months at least.
@@tanberjan Alright. Thanks for letting me know.
You are the best Captain. Thank you for sharing your knowledge !
You can download it in their discord, It’s in a simbrief-profile section :)
@@parvildrobu tried many time to join the discord, but cannot go through :(
I might be a bit late with this comment, but I just want to say thank you for these fantastic tutorials. I've been enjoying your Fenix videos lately. Helps me better understand the Airbus philosophy. I've actually been flying the Fenix A320 more often lately, thanks to you. Just wondering, are you using any tools to mange your views around the cockpit?
Liked and subscribed, just getting started on the Fenix - this is a great video!
Last night I bought the Fenix A320 and used this guide for the first flight and it was flawless. Well done! What would be the next guide to follow for flight, approach and landing?
Absolutely fantastic work my friend. Really great to have a detailed run through like this.
Many thanks for producing this excellent video.. it has truly helped me get to grips with this aircraft
This is truly next lvl simulation with your great knowledge sharing of the airbus, We really appreciate the quality content you deliver. Keep working bro nd good luck with your flights
