    Finally got the hang of this. Was getting frustrated so often until I understood it. In the 737, it’s so straight forward.

    Recently started with the Fenix A320; It did seem daunting at first but you quickly get the hang of it. Just an extra bit of studying and your tutorials come in very handy. Thank you

    I love the way you present your Tutorials simple and easy to understand!! I declare an interest in the FENIX Airbus hence I am watching your videos on it.
    I will definitely buy the Fenix, but for me I am still trying to recoup my investment in the BAE 146 by learning top fly it. I have discovered it is well ahead of me and I have shredded the fuselage several times by not managing the IAS efficiently. Before I leap in and join the PMDG and FENIX enthusiasts I want to learn how to fly the BAE as currently it flies me (usually catastrophically!).

    Subscribed. Late to the party here but I find your videos really clear and also professional! I fly out of EGVN regularly as a A330-MRTT fan, which uses the FBW A320 avionics system in FS2020. Can I please ask a question? One of the SID patterns at EGVN requires a very steep left hand turn at 800ft (just over 180 degrees) from the runway heading of 73 degrees, to 247 degrees in order to intercept a waypoint for a westerly departure. However, in managed mode and with all data entered correctly in the MCDU, AP attempts the left hand turn, but then bails out and continues flying runway heading. What are your thoughts here?

    I have just started using this plane it’s fairly daunting for me I can’t engage the auto pilot or pull any of the knobs at the moment but with some more studying from your vid I think I will get it eventually.

    Love your videos. Learning on the A320 Fenix. What is the constraint when trying to engage managed ALT and it not engaging? AP, AT, flight plan with cruise are active. Could you explain/short video on relationship between AP VNAV flight plan ALT and selected ALT, for climb and descent? ✈️

    1 st Question: suppose I want to climb with no autopilot so move freely pitch and lateraly, but I intend to keep a certain speed, it is the following procedure correct: a/thr on; lever in climb; ap off; pull speed button and insert the speed /mach I desire. Thrust should be in speed mode and thus speed not change according to my pitch. 2nd question: even FD button should be off or it doesn't matter?

    I appreciate your videos. I am a life long boeing simmer but I am slowly but steadily learning the airbus. Question about the different climb profiles. I understand and have been using the options on the MCP to change my climb profile by manually adjusting the set speed in an open climb and such. Is there a way to do it in the FMC as there is in the 737? I find the a320 doesnt get up to my cruise altitude as quickly as I'd like.

    Fantastic video. Very well presented and a must for those of us that want to feel like a real airbus pilot. After about 3 days of watching video I finally got it in the air for a short ifr flight. My FPS dropped by about 50%. Any suggestions re: setting changes to recover some fps without visuals dropping too much? Many thanks for your efforts.

    Thank you for your video. I have a question. For some reason, ATC did not instruct me to climb to the next target altitude, so I ended up using vertical speed all the way to my cruise altitude. The problem I have is that managed altitude doesnt appear to be enabled. In other words, next to the cruise altitude, the little orange dot is not visible. It does not appear regardless of selecting managed mode. If I select a new altitude and press managed altitude, the aircraft does not climb. On the PFD, Mach, alt crz and nav are all lit green, and the aircraft is maintaining its cruise and flying its plan correctly. I messed up somehow. How do I correct this?

    Have you done something special to be in NAV mode once in the air ? is it because of this NAV mode that the aircraft is following the flight plan despite AP not activated ?

    • @coriscotupi
      @coriscotupi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      But he did engage the AP, at 04:16.
      Before that, NAV mode was engaged and he was flying manually following NAV mode, by complying with what the FD was telling him to do.

      I find most of the reason's (unless you have a bug) that autopilot doesn't engage it either errors in the FMC or adverse plane state i.e. overspeed, bank etc, hope you got it sorted now though.
